The owner of the B&B is attentive and will drive a tricycle to the nearby Zhongzhou parking lot to pick us up. It is highly recommended to have a two-bedroom and one-living room type. The space is large and there is a large living room. It occupies the entire floor of a house in the B&B. The price is very high. Although the homestay is not in the core area, it is not far from Nanhu Lake, and it is very quiet at night, rests well, very satisfied, will recommend to friends and relatives.

In less than ten minutes, the owner appeared on an electric scooter, swiftly tied my luggage to the vehicle, and cheerfully motioned for me to hop on. We weaved through Hongcun's winding alleys and past bustling crowds of tourists. The homestay was tucked away in a quiet lane near Moon Pond, an excellent location. You could see Moon Pond just around the corner, yet it was peaceful and quiet – truly an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle. Stepping into the courtyard, I was captivated by this homestay, a renovated Huizhou-style building. The exquisitely carved porch, wooden corridors, and rustic private courtyard exuded the unique elegance and serenity characteristic of Huizhou homes. Inside the room, it was bright and clean. The antique-style wooden bed paired with a soft mattress offered both classic charm and comfort. The night was exceptionally quiet, and I slept soundly. Early the next morning, I opened the window to a beautiful view of the Huizhou-style horse-head walls in the morning light, distant mountains draped in lush greenery, and the nearby sounds of birdsong and fragrant flowers. It truly felt like living inside a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. On the day of my departure, the owner drove me to the bus station as usual, reminding me of other places I hadn't visited in Hongcun along the way. Before saying goodbye, the owner pulled out a packet of chrysanthemum tea from the trunk, handed it to me, and smiled, saying, 'This is our local chrysanthemum tea, take it home and try it.' Holding that packet of tea, my heart felt warm. Staying here truly felt like returning to an old friend's home in Huizhou, thoughtful and considerate in every way. 'Yike Homestay' truly lives up to its name – making one feel 'at ease' (逸) and so content that guests (客) forget to leave. Next time I'm in Hongcun, I'll definitely stay here again.

The owner was a bit elusive, communicating entirely through WeChat, but they arranged for someone to pick us up and drop us off. The room was clean and had a small courtyard. It was very close to Moon Pond. We arrived around 6 PM, got settled, and then went out just in time to see the night view of Moon Pond. When we left, the owner took us to the roadside to catch a taxi and even helped us load our luggage into the Didi car.

This was my second stay. Hongcun is a great place to relax on weekends, and Zhang's Mansion is as cozy as ever. I told the manager in advance what I wanted to eat, and we ate right away. The food was all bought by the aunties at the manor that morning—fresh and delicious. The rooms are still in the same style, with a classic, antique charm. During the day, I strolled around the village, and in the evening, I went back to the manor to eat, drink, and sleep, relieving the fatigue of work.

To our surprise, the hotel concierge even informed us in advance that we could upgrade to a 200-square-meter villa suite – what a huge, pleasant surprise! He will take our luggage with us to the entrance of the ancient village on an electric bicycle. The room is on the first floor. It is very clean and spacious. There is a swing in the yard, which makes it feel very cozy. You also get snacks and free mineral water when you check in. The location is particularly good. After walking a few dozen meters, we arrived at the big banyan tree at the entrance of the village. It was a quiet place amidst the hustle and bustle. There were also some B&Bs around, but when I passed by, I felt that the yard of this one was the most beautiful.
