Marmande is one of those typical run-down small towns with a very limited hotel and restaurant offer. Château Rouge 47 stands out in terms of quality of the the room, we had the very large Celadon room, and the delicious home-cooked dinner, prepared by the owner Sandrine. Very good value for money. Despite being located between a main road an d a railway line, the place is quiet and the grounds are lovely. Sandrine likes to chat and has a wealth of information about the area. The place is hard to find at night so print out the access plan.
