Staying in Sempoorna town was a delightful experience, and this resort made our visit truly special. Sempoorna town is relatively small and apart from diving, hiking, island hopping there is not much things to do. If you're planning to spend more than 2-3 days in the area, I highly recommend considering this resort. Conveniently located just 10 minutes away from Sempoorna town by boat, the resort offers a tranquil escape. The staff and owner here are not only friendly but also incredibly cooperative, ensuring a warm welcome and a comfortable stay throughout. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully equipped, providing a luxurious experience. The surrounding beautiful sea is a highlight, adorned by starfish and other fishes. While the included food may not be the centerpiece of the experience, it is satisfactory, mainly featuring delicious Chinese cuisine. The staff and owner go the extra mile to share details about the resort, snorkeling gear, and any assistance you may need. During our stay, they arranged an unforgettable island-hopping tour, adding an extra layer of excitement to our visit.

Adrian was a fantastic staff in assisting us in our needs, even at a late hour. Clean rooms and hospitable staff, would recommend to all divers, as it is near the marina jetty, a stone throw away from all amenities. Easy process from checking in and out

really love the affordable rates of each rooms. every room was clean and there were free flow coffe, tea and biscuits at the main hall for guests to enjoy! alllowed me to check in early at 1pm instead. very kind of them Check in was swift and smooth. friendly receptionists and staff

Booked this Inn2 because I couldn’t see any commitments on Sipadan Inn 3 or 1. It was okay for overnight. The first time I stayed there, it was a normal small room with window facing the street. However, when I checked in again a week later I got a room in the middle without window, even though I booked the same queen room. The location is not great, Inn 3 and 1 are at better spots in the small seafront town, easier to reach than Inn 2. Among the three, Inn 3 is the newest and, after a visit, I noticed it has better rooms with better facilities. Had WiFi in room at Inn 2, the bed was very basic and sheets not crispy clean, the shower was okay as well as the air conditioning. Semporna is a tiny town with most places within walking distance, though the narrow, car-lined streets are not that clean or tidy to walk through, especially if you carry luggage. From what I heard from other travelers, very basic facilities wherever you stay, so lower your expectations then probably all good.

So when you’re here, be sure to check out popular spots like Fat Mother Semporna, Ocean Treasure Live Seafood Restaurant, and Fish Village Seafood Restaurant, which are serving up some great dishes. Best of all, Dragon Hotel makes it easy to experience some great Semporna attractions like Sabah (0.2 mi), which is a short distance away.

Difficult to say this was a 3-average, but the description of a 4 is ‘very good’ which is a stretch for my experience. Should be about 3.5 I’d say. Decent rooms, beds are comfy, generally clean and rooms are provided with AC, tv, towels, kettle, coffee, tea and basic toiletries. Half a toilet roll was a touch! Had to ask for more, though. Wifi was ok the first night, of two, but then dropped off to very slow speeds, barely capable of loading social media feeds, which was frustrating. Otherwise easy to access, to find and centrally located to the sea-side of Semporna.

enjoy staying here even though short trip . easy to access, newr to shop easy to get food. the room is clean n nice sticker on the wall. my kids love it.

Supposely they provide telephone in every room .. having difficulties to reach their receptionist .. This our 2nd time check in there ... no slipper in room. .. little bit disappointed with cleanliness of the room and under expectation their breakfast 🤭🤭

The villa is so good. The room is cozy. breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner are all great. The water is clean and clear, you can swim and snorkel around the villa, there will be a lifeguard standby. People is kind and helpful, you can sing Karaoke with them at night, you can also play Mahjong and snooker. One kindly reminder for those planning to dive in Semporna. Must contact the villa to arrange your diving section!!!This can save the transportation fee. If you book local tour from other agency like KKday, they might not pick you up from the villa and you have to pay extra fee for pick up. So just contact the villa and ask them to arrange. Lastly, everything is good but it will be perfect if the villa has a cat.😽

Sea Star Perfect resort. Perfect location. Perfect staff. Wonderful owner, ERIC, who has great PR 👍🏻. Staff is respectful and friendly. I cannot ask for more. Highly recommend Sea Star Resort. We bought a 3D2N Sea Star Resort package. It included a return transfer by van from Tawau Airport to Semporna boat jetty which took almost 1.5h, a 10-minute boat ride to Sea Star Resort, a whole day of island hopping and snorkelling, all meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner 👍🏻), free usage of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear and unlimited supply of drinking water. The room is very clean and spacious- had a king size bed plus a day bed. Bath area was spacious and attractive. Really love this place very much. Look at the video I have attached! Air conditioned, good internet connection and extended balcony. Food is local buffet style. We enjoyed all our meals there. You will get an assortment of dishes. For dinner, you get good large prawns 🍤 and fish👍🏻. Tea is special- besides 2-3 types if local cakes, you get an endless supply of banana fritters which are very addictive 👍🏻 The sea water around the resort and beyond is crystal clear. You can always see the marine creatures in the water. From 4pm, use of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear are supervised. Very kind staff who are ever ready to lend a helping hand. We are grateful to Eric, Gordon, Amsyar, Lisa and all the Sea Star Resort staff. We will be back!
