The location of Skypark Hotel is very comfortable for the travelers. It’s very close to 2 subway stations and only 7 mins walk from DDP.
The room itself was very cosy and nice, but a bit small. There was everything we needed in the room. The beds and pillows were soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean.
What about the service though… The man at the front desk was pretty professional, but very cold. He took our passports, quickly pressed some buttons on the electronic kiosk, gave us the paper with the codes, very briefly explained how to use it and send us to the elevator without giving us any time to realize what is happening. Very quick check in and check out. The cleaning lady was very polite, helpful and understanding.

I have stayed in Dongdaemun more than 50 times on business trips. So I guess I've conquered almost all the hotels in Dongdaemun? I've stayed there so many times. Among them, Ashley House is the No.1 in hospitality and convenience. Price range. It was a comfortable hotel that I don't want to think of any other than Ashley House from now on. Let me review my impressions in detail! [Convenience] The subway station is close, the bus stop is close, and the bus stop to Incheon Airport is close. There is no trouble with access to anything. It is also located on the well-known APM PLACE, so you can arrive by just saying a word to the taxi driver from Seoul. It is the most convenient place to go night shopping in Dongdaemun. To go to NyuNyu, which has recently become popular among Japanese people, just take the elevator down and take the bus right in front of you, and you will arrive in 5 minutes without walking. There is only one elevator to the hotel, so access to the room is great and not tiring! [About the room] The room has a microwave, a water server with hot and cold water, a washing machine, a kitchen, and even a microwave. There is a transformer so you won't have any trouble charging your phone. I've stayed at hotels that are twice as expensive as this one, but none of them have everything. If I wanted to eat ramen at the hotel in the middle of the night, I would fill it with hot water at a convenience store and bring it into the hotel. I was very grateful to have it in the room. The sunshine is excellent and the view is great. There is a full-length mirror and a makeup mirror to help me get ready, so it was helpful. I thought the little considerations were wonderful. The calm space was so comfortable that it felt like I was at home when I came on vacation. The cleanliness was 100 points! On the contrary, I felt like I was really okay with this price. 🥺 [Hospitality] This is the part that impressed me the most. This hotel does not have a front desk, so when you make a reservation, the owner will send you a secret number. I was always in contact with the owner on LINE in advance. The owner of Fariy House speaks Japanese very well, so if you have any problems or questions, he will explain them very carefully. The return bus was to Gimpo, but I couldn't find any information on the internet, so I asked the owner, who gave me detailed information with an easy-to-understand map and timetable, and even asked if I could show me to the bus stop. 😭 I'm very grateful for the owner's consideration, which makes me understand why Fariy House is a popular hotel. I was worried about what I would do if it became too popular and I couldn't get a reservation, but I'd like to express my gratitude for finding this hotel, which made my work go so smoothly. Thank you so much. I look forward to working with you in the future.

Location: First of all, it was located in front of the bar of Chungmuro Station, so the accessibility was very good! As soon as I got off the station, it was easy to find because it was right there, and it was easy to move to the subway. In addition, there are many food nearby, so I ordered it to be delivered in the evening. At night, I went out with my friends and played in my favorite bar. 🍻 Room interior, cleanliness: First of all, the room stayed in a room for three people, but it was wider than I thought, so three people went to sleep. It was enough, very neat and clean. There was also a table, so it was easy to eat, and it was okay to bring a laptop and see the work! The bathroom is clean and Netflix is available (you need to use your own ID). There is a washing machine, induction, and sink, so you can cook and wash! (I haven't used it, but,) it was just new and tidy because the bathroom was just built. Is it a little unusual that the sink is on the outside? It wasn't uncomfortable, but it wasn't as noisy as Hongdae or Sinchon. It was nice to be quiet at night, not like a noisy downtown area, but because of its good accessibility and location, it was convenient to use public transportation and places to eat or cafes around. It was nice to have a lot! I stayed with my friends, but I think it would be suitable if you are looking for a place to stay for long-distance business trips or business purposes.. !

The Good Great location. Great location to enjoy Myeongdong street. Night market of Myeongdong is so lively and beautiful and unique experience for Seoul trip. Obviously it feels much safer to stay at hotel nearby. As for hotel, they got nice wine shop at first floor. Their lobby located on low floor and not 1st floor. Although, there is guardman on 1st floor who seems to be reliable. Roof top bar is also in good prices unlike usual ”hotel price”. I stayed at ”low bed” room which seems to be unusual for Korea. It was comfortable and that different experience was fun. The BEST Staff are amazing. I personally think Shilla are in line of Lotte's rivary. (two of top Korean hotel brands) Staffs at this hotel were so amazing. They seemed to have great balance with character. I've seen staff who are sweet and very friendly. While I've also seen staff with sharp and precise manner. Shila staff are professional with more ”trained” manner. Very polite. I have no complain but the friendliness is always more welcome for me. The lady at rooftop bar was a goddess. Not only she was beautiful(excuse me). Her works were very well oriented and professional. Constantly eye checking on the floor, checkin on guests condition and making sure everything is all right, a friendly communication with foreign kids. It was past 11pm and they were about to close if I remember correctly. Unless a five star luxury hotel, at this time of the business, staff are chatting, ready to set free from work. No, not at all. They acted as if they just opened the bar. I really felt strange. The Bad Breakfast is operated by a tenant restaurant. So totally different experience. It kinda breaks the whole experience of hotel and basically, it's tenant restaurant so they won't treat you like hotel guest. They are polite but can't response anything to do with hotel. If you've travelled Korea or Seould before, I beleive there are no stress. but if you are first timer, there could be more helpful service for foreigner, easier access, easier location etc. There are so many different hotels in Myeongdong so I can't give comparison. Although, it's Korean brand and I believe it worth a stay.

The rooms are business-class, but it is a cost-effective hotel. It is located in a great location for exploring Seoul, including Ikseon-dong Cafe Street, Insa-dong, palaces, and Jongmyo Shrine, and is well connected to public transportation. It is also a place where bars and restaurants are concentrated. The location is so good that you can see anywhere in Seoul within walking distance.

In general hotel is exactly what we were looking for. A family of 4 just to stay close to Everland, with the Everland free shuttle bus 5 min walking distance. Rooms are very small but enough for what we need it. Breakfast is disappointing and way too expensive. If have another option better take it. Rest of that excellent choice. If we go to Everland again, we definitely stay there and will establish at a bbq nearby.

It was in the middle of the city so it was great to go out and eat.
I booked a family room, but the double bed was large.
It is large enough for one adult and two children to lie down.
The air conditioning was so strong that it was quite cold.
It was disappointing that the bathroom door was rattling, but
Overall I was satisfied

GGuest UserMy first time at Le Méridien Seoul , new hotel , 6 months old , super clean , great rooms facilities , good buffet breakfast , maybe a bit under staffed during rush hours but staff were very nice . Superb lounge at the 15 floor with very friendly and helpful staff special thanks to Mrs Sharon Kim and Mrs Rachael Kim for there valued help for restaurants and tips for side seen and shopping , Will go back for sure next time I will in Seoul !
EEkaiiiA hotel with modern design, clean and cozy. Great location access city center. Staff are professional and friendly. They let me checked in room early 10am when room available, appreciated! Hotel facilities are fully equipped. Money exchange machine at lobby with good rate, it saved a lot of time searching around. Free water dispenser and great coffee at lobby as well. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone who plan visit Seoul.
GGrace KuangylHotel is located near anguk station. Just a little 5mins walk from the hotel. very near insadong and many food places.
Below the main hotel there are some retail shops and restaurant & GS25(but it seems like the GS25 there is automated cashier or something because you cant jus go in as you wish). But there is another nearby GS25 jus a few abt 2 mins walk down on the way to subway.
Did not take the airport bus because I was rushing for time. Although the Hotel told me that it will be a 5mins walk, but I personally would not recommend if you have big large suitcases because you got to pass through humans as that area is pretty busy in the day. But it is still convenient if you want to take and a much cheaper option. (i would recommend if you take airport bus if you arrive late night)
Hotel room is big and clean & there is mountian view too! Never expect it from a city hotel. I requested for a high floor and was glad they accede to my request. However, I think i requested for a standing shower room too last minute, thus, they still assign me a bathtub room. But thats ok, I just make do with it. Basic amenities all provided (except disposable ones due to korea's law)
They are quite strict with check in time, but I manage to store my luggage at their lockers and did a wash up before heading out for lunch. So if you arrive early, do prepare some small travel cleanser or a fresh clothes in your bagpack so that you wont have to dig your luggage.
overall, im quite happy with my stay and would definitely consider coming back to this hotel.
GGuest UserThe location of the Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel is great, 3 mins away from the subway and right at the spot of Myeongdong night market. The flagship Olive Young is almost like next door. The room is not spacious but efficient. I would definitely come back if visit Seoul.
GGuest UserCons:
First, it was disappointed to find out the shower gel dispenser is broken by ourselves when I was naked standing in the shower room. I would assume the staff should know the condition of the room. I wish the front desk informed me when I checked in and ask if I could accept it or not since I pay no less than others.
Second, the refrigerator has the smallest capacity I’ve ever seen.
Pros:
Room is clean and spacious enough for 2 luggage. Staff are nice. They smile and greet. Location is incredible, super convenient! Kinda quiet in a noisy neighborhood. The subway station is right under the building. It’s easy to reach to most of attractions and can go through to the airport without any transfer.
Money exchanging machine is available in the lobby.
AAnonymous UserLocation is more suitable for business travellers who want to work & commute in financial district, otherwise there’s not much to do in this whole area as it’s very hard to find a decent or simple eatery which opens near late night compared to living in Dongdaemun and Gangnam. Our room is located high and we can have a glance of the nearby buildings and overlooked further. They don’t provide full amenities compared to 2 other 5-stars hotels we had stayed in during this trip. So prep yourself with our necessary amenities like earbuds, combs, earplugs, sewing kits if needed in any case..
The hotel room is quite spacious and toilet is equipped with a bathtub which we didn’t get to utilise at all but my child had once because she wanted to play a bath bomb for 10 mins. Other items like ironing board, iron, Nespresso coffee machine, distilled water bottles, beverages and condiments, safe box, fridge were all provided.
And I find it quite troubling as there were too many ‘big-country’ tourists either staying in the hotel or those living in Seoul going to the Hyundai Seoul mall to buy luxury goods. And the entire mall is crazily flooded and packed with youngsters on the day of our check-in and the next day. Some came to window-shop while most others came in for food and perhaps after meals, to seek shelter and shield from the cold. You won’t be believed this you can’t even find a place to eat as all fast food eateries, snacks counters and restaurants were fully unavailable. There were basically long queues everywhere you go. Ended up my super famished poor child had to walk a long way with us & venture out in the cold to find any available restaurant to have our dinner.
International breakfast is served daily at L5 and the buffet spread is limited compared to the one we stayed & had in Dongdaemun. We had to pay additional 55,000KRW (SGD55) per day for our young child to dine in with us as her breakfast was not included in our accommodation package. I think it’s really too expensive and given that we always came down only at 9.30am and the breakfast stopped at 10am sharp. The food she always had was a small bowl of cereal, 4 small bite-sized hash-browns and a glass of milk only where she had to eat fast within 30mins before they closed for the day. For such price paid, it’s totally not worth it and we can’t avoid paying lesser despite they knew we only had 30 mins left to dine.
Overall the concierge service crews’ attitude and professionalism were excellent and Fairmont had the best staffs with great service i encountered during our 3 weeks stay across 3 different 5-stars hotels. I wished I will have another chance to stay here again but the price for each night is SGD450++, which is really expensive.
GGuest UserWe enjoyed our room the most and felt that we had a good night's rest here. This is a semi budget friendly hotel that is close to the palace/park areas of Seoul. The room was clean and well appointed with two comfy beds, two good pillows per bed, a chair, cabinets and drawers to store stuff, a big tv, robes and sandals. The bathroom was nice too with good shower pressure and one of those shower valves where you can pick the temperature you want. The toilet flushed quietly and there was plenty of shower space. There are frosted windows in the bathroom which help let in natural day light but if your partner uses it at night you will see the lights come on.
The location was decent but the metro was further than expected. When we booked trip.com showed us that it was 330m from Dongmyo Station but it was actually closest to jongno 5 entrance 2 which was a 10 minute walk away from the hotel. The palace and Hanbok areas are very close to the hotel and there are frequent busses in the area to take you to the major attractions and areas. Nearby the hotel there are many convenience stores but there are limited restaurant options outside of coffee shops.
The breakfast at the hotel was ok. We found there was a good variety but if you went too early (7:30 am) nothing was out yet and if you went later (8:30) everything was limited. The hot items were not as hot as we liked them to be despite the heaters so it might be worth getting early and getting your food when it comes out so it is nice and hot. There were scrambled eggs, fried eggs, marbled cheese the one day, stuff to make salad, an onion soup, mushroom soup, fried rice, a hot vegetable (one day it was potato and the next it was mushrooms), hot dogs, cut up fruit, bread/toaster, cut up muffins, orange juice, coffee and tea. There was enough to get by and there are pricey a la carte options. The restaurant was a little drafty when we went but it was just enough to get us started each day.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and allowed us to store our baggage when we arrived early so we could go out and explore the city. When we actually checked in it was smooth and quick. The elevators are a little tricky at the hotel and you have to pay attention to which elevator is closest to you and press that button. There are two elevators but there are two separate buttons to call them so it is worthwhile looking where the elevators are and choosing accordingly. The hotel also has a coin laundry facility and a meeting area. The lobby is also nicely appointed with furniture and a small drinks shop but being there in December we wouldn't want to hang out there long.
GGuest UserLoved it so much, this is my second time staying here.
Fantastic location - centrally located, can get anywhere in 10-30 mins. Bus stop right in-front of the hotel and Sinsa station 5 mins away. There’s a 7-11 next to the hotel. There’s food places around the Garousu-Gil shopping area - lots of the locals hang out there. There’s a cafe (lobby) and rooftop bar in the hotel. 10 mins walk to the Airport bus stop - super convenient to take the bus to/from the airport.
Rooms are clean and minimalist. Just take note that amenities are limited as this is an eco friendly hotel. If you are travelling with someone bring or buy additional soap/shampoo as its bar soap/shampoo/conditioner (1 bar each). If you don’t want your room cleaned daily - hotel does leave a bag of clean towels and water top up at your door. Floor space it’s good to open 3 large suitcases flat. There are slots under the bed to keep 2 suitcases just like their photos show.
Only thing lacking is hanging space - towel and clothes.
Loved the free Dear Klairs skincare samples. Store was located down the street from the hotel, picked up a few things because of the samples.
You can keep your luggage in the lobby so you don’t need to pay extra for a locker.
GGuest UserA very simple 3 star hotel very close to Seoul Station which is its main advantage.
Very small room gives you some Japanese vibes. That's also supported by the toilet. There was some USB socket broken, though it didn't deliver any problem.
If you're an individual that needs a one night stay in Seoul - the Manu Hotel is quite a good choice. Plenty of the shops and cafes in vicinity. Close to Namdaemun Market and the street. The Seoulista restaraunt or bar (I'd better call it a bar) - is ok for late dinner if you don't want to look for anything else.
Some reviewers wrote about homeless people on the way from Seoul station (right in front actually) to the hotel. Though I didn't find the ”clean” pass to the walkway (from the station) and had to encounter them, I don't see any problem - there's a police station right there. Had a small problem finding a way on top of the walkway as the lift is a bit hidden (but you have to be complete ***** not finding it).
Pros:
- Quite cheap
- Close to Seoul Station
- Lot's of cafes and shops around
Cons
- Small rooms.
4442sanaaeI loved the fact that the location is perfect for a quite night as well as it’s so closed to Namsan tower for a beautiful walk in morning, Myeongdong for shopping and sightseeing in evening time and many places I can get to in less than 15 mins The guest house is perfectly clean , they have a healthy breakfast as well as a projector where I played my favorite movies at night before heading to sleep. The family are so nice and always there to help me with everything I needed ^_^ I recommend this place for long term and short term stays~~
