Hotels near New Philadelphia Church, Seoul

Located in the quieter side of Hongdae (which i’d prefer), it’s still quite close to the main shopping area (maybe 10mins walk). Really cute space to be living in, felt more like a co-living (I believe university students live here as their hostel as well since there are universities nearby) rather than a full fledged hotel. Loved the communal space vibes and there was even a fair going on on one of the days (I believe it was the first day of the month) selling things like vegetables and fruits and many other things. There’s a space for everything such as a quick massage, laundry, kitchen, vending machines, a robot coffee machine and multiple spaces to chill and hangout/do work. I guess the only downside was that there’s no room service if you’re staying for less than 7 days, meaning you have to clear your own trash and clean your own room but that wasn’t too much of a problem. Unlimited small towels available upon request at the reception as well. Overall, it was a really nice stay and pretty good location!

I spent 4 nights at ibis hotel, one of the lady at the front desk who can speak good English, and she was really nice, I was so grateful. My room was at 30/F, the view was awesome! It was clean, but the two cushions on my bed were super smelly… I wish the housekeeper could have noticed and changed the cover. The location of the hotel was great, it took me around 5mins walk from Yongsan Station exit 3 across the bridge to the hotel. Yongsan station is close to Sinyongsan station, so there is another choice if you travel to other line. I wanted to put this information here because when I was using the google map, it couldn’t give me an accurate walking direction. So hope this could help those who wanted to stay in this hotel. Overall experience I would say not bad, but compared to the other hotels located at Hongdae that I have stayed in the past, I think those are more convenient.

My 80 year old father and I had a good stay at the Fairfield Marriott on our last night in Seoul. Check in was easy, the elevators are high tech detecting your room floor when you hold the key to the hub, but the rooms are small. There's a sliding door separating the bathroom from the bedroom, but the bathroom is at the front of the room to include the door for entry. Essentially if you're on the toilet and your family/friend has left the room, you'd have to yell out to keep them from entering while on the throne. Not a big deal for overnight but for a longer stay that might be problematic. Also, said door is not quiet, so getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom requires you to make noise to slide the door closed. The room was otherwise nice. The bed was firm, the shower was good and had wash clothes. There's two hooks for hanging towels after you've used them which I think is golden. The breakfast buffet is just okay. There are plenty of food restaurants across the street from the hotel. We also had a Thai massage in that area. Oh, the slippers are really cheap, as seen in a pic... Lol.

One of the most amazing hotels that I’ve ever stayed! Very reasonable price very great location! Very nice room condition, it was very clean and comfortable. And in the bathroom, there’s a small area with mirror is very very convenient for girls to make up. I want to make a good comment on that.  And I want to comment that every single staff that I encounter with was very professional, very helpful and fluent in English, I was surprised and happy! During my stay, I accidentally make the bed sheet dirty which I was very very sorry about that, but they didn’t charge me which I also surprised because with my previous stays, in other hotels, they usually will charge  Even though the breakfast selections was not much, but the breakfast was really delicious and enjoyable. The condition of the restaurant was also very nice! And the first floor they have a coffee shop, which is really convenient for those who stay in hotel and the tourist! In their lobby they also have a small bar who can self service for the beverage. They have coffee and tea that was super nice and surprised for me! The surrounding area was also very convenient and close to the subway station. And also, they are very nice to foreigners,all the floors and all the signs with English and the guide for staying in the hotel are presented in four languages! For those who using wow pass here definitely is a good choice because in their lobby they have one machine which is super super convenient !!  Definitely will recommend Roynet Hotel to everyone ! This is the first time I write such a long comment.I feel very welcomed and warm in here.  And it is very likely for the next time I visiting Seoul again and I will staying here again!

It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth to stay however I want to comment a few things like to point it out. 1. Front desk workers are almost no manners, they seem to not have any idea how to greet people, they never say any word like thank you, may I help you? , how may I assist you? Next customer please, what’s your car license plate number? Anything I can help you? How was your stay in our hotel? I’m sorry I don’t understand etc.. I believe not they didn’t want to say something in English, they seemed to not educated people neither they were lacking in English conversation. Don’t expect any common western manners from them. That’s why I rated them “poor” in the service category. I hope they will improve their service quality next time I see them. Thanks for reading my review.

This place was strongly recommended by my friend. About 8minutes walk from hongdae subway exit 1. I liked that it was at the quieter side of hongdae so it would not be noisy at night and you can have a good night rest. Room is really clean and quite spacious. The only downside was that the lighting in the room is a bit dim. You could request for a table lamp from the front desk.

The cleanliness. The bed is comfort but only one pillow. Big space complete with huge fridge , stove & microwave. Also have washer but no dryer. But i didnt wash nor cook. Just 5mins walk to the hotel from bus stop or train stop at Chungmuro. 1stop to Myeongdong Street so the place is calm. My view is not so nice coz facing half mountain & half building. Toothbrush & toothpaste are not provided. The check in process was very fast. No room key just a password at the door. So very convenient not to bring room key everywhere. Btw i stayed there for 6 days . Its just good to stay & its new . The receptionist can speak good English too.

Good location, nearby to a few train stations so I can choose to alight at different stops depending on where I came from. Amenities like soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, towels provided, as per stated in the listing. Common pantry at level 1 can be used, which has hot water, coffee, cutlery, microwave. Comfortable and recommended to stay.

Hotel located near 공덕역 just walk from subway for ~ 500 m And nearby there is airport bus stop too !!! Very good location 👍 Also the room is clean, full of amenities and kindness staff If you want a good price hotel near subway I recommend this one

Overall the Oriens Hotel and Residences was a great value for it allowed the family an area to return to relax for another day of sight seeing. It is spacious and ample room to unwind compared to a standard hotel. The hotel’s location is decent and the railway system is close. The rooms were clean and even heated flooring so great on a cold night. A little learning on how to turn on the hot water system which is as needed system that takes about 5 to 10 minutes to heat up. A dining room table with 4 chairs and all the cups, plates and silverware plus dish soap. Pluses are the kitchen with a full refrigerator, Microwave oven, bottle water provided, stove, oven/toaster, dishwasher and the clothes washer and dryer as a single unit. Great for college dorms and retirement unit. Another plus is that the front desk staff even loaned a transformer unit so you can charge your electronic devices- ie phone. Breakfast was available for an additional charge. We did not eat at the hotel and ventured out to the local restaurants. Check in and checkout was very efficient. Would consider staying here again.
