Sofitel Hotels in Shanghai

I'd give the hotel service five stars. They were incredibly responsive and quick to assist with any request. Staff at the entrance always greeted me when I came and went, and both check-in and check-out were very fast. Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed the large bathtub 🛁. The room amenities were quite comprehensive, though I'd deduct half a point for the cold flush on the smart toilet. It would also be great if there was an additional trash can in the room. According to professionals, the gym would be even better with the addition of a lat pulldown and rowing machine. Breakfast quality was just average. The hotel is surrounded by construction sites, so there's a lot of dust and sand blowing around right outside the main entrance. Thankfully, the hotel's soundproofing is quite good, so it was quiet at night and didn't disturb my sleep.

It was already past 10 PM when we checked in, but Dora was still full of energy and enthusiastically helped us with a quick check-in. She even proactively asked about our pillow preferences and breakfast times. The next day, when we checked out, it was raining, and she specifically reminded us to take an umbrella and helped us call a taxi. This kind of meticulous service was truly touching, and I have to give it a big thumbs up!
