Very Good location for shopping, near many department store and walking street. About 15 min. walk to The bund, Easy to fine good food. Nice service. Staff speak english. It is Old building, but in side room not bad. เราพัก 2คืน เทียบราคากีบคุณภาพห้อง พอรับได้ ห้องไม่ได้ใหม่เพราะเข้าใจว่าอยู่ในตึกโบราณอายุมากแล้ว แต่ก็ปรับปรุงสภาพห้องดูดี มีอ่างอาบน้ำที่มีคราบเก่าบ้าง โดยรวมคุ้มราคา เมื่อเที่ยบกับทำเล รอบๆ ราคาสูงกว่านี้มากๆ เตียงดี. ความสะอาดถือว่าปานกลาง พนักงานช่วยเหลือดีมาก หน้าตชมวิวไม่ได้เพราะเป็นกระจกฝ้ามัวๆตัดแสง มีไดร์เป่าผม และกาน้ำร้อน มีตู้เย็น

Breakfast is good including local and continental options. Location is excellent. Close to all major attractions .lots of local restaurants, Family mart and Lawson nearby. Room size and daily house keeping is perfect. Laundry room available with washing machines and dryers and open for all. Front desk is very efficient, helpful and can speak English.

The location is great, close to People’s Square Station and also can walk to East Nanjing Road Station. I booked the no-window room but got upgraded to room with window. However, the window couldn’t close properly, so the room had cooking smell from the restaurant outside and also heard the noise from outside. (My room was at the back of the building.) I told the housekeeper about the smell problem, but she can only use the air refreshened spray to ease the smell.

This hotel is my least favorite after travelling around china for 10 months. Although the location is pretty nice, but other points I would give it a minus. As we had two stays at this hotel (we went to another city for one night), I'm going to review it in two posts with the same content. Room interior: 3/10 - I'm so glad that I stayed at this hotel with my closest friend, and not family. It would be so awkward if I were to take a bath and my parents can see me through the glass. Yes it's not that clear, but you will definitely see each other's body. We had to turn back when we took a shower, and it's super uncomfortable. You also have to hang your clothes and towel outside the shower room door as well - The control button panel is very confusing. I don't mind most of it but the 'open the door' button. I find it's very dangerous when I just want to turn off all lights but open the door instead - Soundproofing was not that good. As we stayed at lobby floor, we always heard - The room interior on my second stay was very poor. It's smaller than the first and the window was super small like there's none. Amenities 3/10 - There is nothing such 'smart toilet'. It's very normal, so I'm pretty disappointed cuz it's one criteria I chose this hotel (my friend came from japan, and I especially chose this for her) - No bathrobe as listed (again, for my friend, she usually uses bathrobe as pajamas in japan and didn't take pajamas with her on this trip. We had a busy time finding new pajamas) - No soft drinks as listed - No guest laundry as listed Cleanliness: standard 10/10 (just look vintage, but no dusts) Luggage storage SAFETY: 3/10 I don't mind when we had to take our luggage to the storeroom by ourselves, but no one cared when we took them back. They didn't pay attention on which bags I took at all. We can just give them our luggage storage tag and go to take ours directly, without checking Front desk: 7/10 - the first stay was normal. They can speak some english. Their services was normal - On my second stay, the front desk guy who I didn't see during first stay was super super friendly and full of service mind. He was very nice and smiley while helping me register and helped me talking to the food delivery rider. The other was not bad. Location 9/10 - right on East Nanjing road - ~5 min walk to both east nanjing road and ppl square metros - It's a bit tiring to go back from the bund, but not that bad for people's in 20s

Conveniently located 5mins walk to People’s Square station and 10mins to Nanjing East station. Bus stop right in front of the building as well. Cleanliness of the room was fine, but the renovation looks poorly done with paint not aligned, screw of the lamp was out. Soundproof is bad, you can hear noise from upstairs even at 2am or from the air condition. When other guests exit the lift and they talk loudly you can hear them clearly as well. The hotel is in a building that’s shared so there’s always random people at the lobby. Waiting for the lift can take very long. But staff service is generally good.

Wonderful experience with Elong, the location was very convenient and easily accessible via train / didi. The staffs are friendly too and they will checked with us if everything is ok during our stay there. Requested for room with view of the Nanjing pedestrian street and it was fulfil. Room was clean and very comfortable stay. Breakfast was good too. Will definitely stay here again during my next visit to Shanghai!

This was my first stay in hotel Chalet. The best things are location, cleanliness, interesting breakfast. They might improve wifi as in my room 8509 was working really slowly or not at all. The staff is not the best in English or don’t talk at all, but they use translators and always are willing to help. I still give a 5star review as i liked my stay.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and probably will again, although I did report my room safe was broken a number of times and across a 5 night stay (I had 2 bookings and mentioned this problem in the review against the first booking as well) it was not fixed. It was an unusual blip in what is ordinarily a great experience at this hotel but I mention it as this amenity is very important to many travellers. I haven’t had this problem before - next time I will ask for a new room straight away. Hotel is very well priced for its location (near French concession area and the Bund), ordinary level of service, and while rooms aren’t super new/modern, they are generally well maintained and always clean.

Really nice hotel. Great location and near a lot of attractions. I found value in staying here due to the convenience of near by attractions but I chose to eat outside of the hotel because the prices are high. The bar drinks were not good and made with very little alcohol and far too much ice. High price as well. There happened to be some famous actor staying at the hotel and security blocked access to a couple floors so I couldn't access the elevator to get to my room after check in so that was really annoying. Eventually I was able to get to the room and it was nice. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. A bit small but nice none the less.

We always went to Langham Hotel that is next to Andaz, but this time, we decided to try out Andaz. It was to our surprise that the hotel is better than I thought. We got free minibar items, other than anything with alcohol. The pool is 1/4 Olympic size (the pool at Langham is 1/2 Olympic size, junior Olympic size). Other than that, we totally enjoyed our stay. The staff members are very friendly. People are complained about the neon lights in the bathroom, but to us, it is not a big deal.
