Shangri-La Hotels with Free Breakfast

I stayed in the suite at this hotel. It was a great and very comfortable stay. Everything about the suite was elegant and built for comfort. The hotel has a restaurant that makes delicious Yunnan inspired dishes. The yak stew and the potato dishes were especially good. The staff was nice and friendly although language presented a barrier. (Thankfully there are translation apps.). The pool was a little weird though. It's presented more like a pond in the middle of the hotel rooms. There seems to be only one access point to the pool and there is zero seating. Its rimmed by plants and trees. Very strange. But thats the only criticism of the hotel. Everything else meets and exceeds expectations of a hotel. And its within walking distance of the old town.

The hotel is located 1 km from the ancient town and is a 10-15 minute drive to the train station. The room was comfortable, and the water pressure and heater worked perfectly. The Wi-Fi was very stable as well. (For foreigners, do bear in mind, if you connect to hotel wifi, you would need to connect to VPN in order to use WhatsApp, IG or Youtube) This is a 9-year-old property, so there are some flaws that can be improved, but that is understandable. My only feedback is about the F&B restaurant; they only have one all-day dining option. Breakfast was alright, with more of a local selection. I stayed for two nights. On the first day, there was staff available to help me and serve my cafe latte order. However, on the second day, I did not see any staff on standby, so I had to make my own cafe latte (I had to froth the milk), which I found awkward. I wish the staff were more well trained, but I understand it is low season and the hotel probably hired part-timers for service. The best highlight of my stay was meeting a lady named Rose He, who is part of the guest services team (i think). She made recommendations on where to go and even found us a local driver to take us around. She was extremely kind and polite. We exchanged WeChat information, and she texted me when the weather turned cold or rainy. She also helped us to arrange complimentary transportation to the train station. It felt personalized. Shangri-La, if you are reading this, I believe she deserves a token of appreciation. She is the true star and a great example of “hospitality.” Overall, we were happy with our stay. Thank you.

overall great experience! The view is amazing and I daresay the food at Halfway was the best food I’ve eaten in my China trip. I wish the place provide proper towels instead of disposable ones. There was also no hot water for shower but not sure if it was just our room.

It's been quite cold in Shangri-La recently, but the room is super warm. The service of the ladies at the front desk is very good and professional. Check-in is also very fast. There is also airport pick-up service, which is really good. You don't have to worry about getting lost anymore. The facilities are really good, the environment is good, and it is clean.

The hotel is very strategically located at one of the most scenic area of NapaSea, and is very clean, well kept. The counter service is great too, they even upgraded our rooms to a bigger, scenic room for free!!! And, they provided free shuttle service from the railway station (or can claim back from them by showing the bill). The room itself, has heating service, oxygen supply, and is super roomy and clean. Hotel Indigo has a spectacular bird eye view of the Shangrila town, the room has the view of the temple in the Dukezong Ancient Town. The hotel is very new and the staffs are super friendly, especially Cyrus Pan who did helped me a lot of some miscellaneous things though the stay just only 1 night. Room is clean and spacious. The restaurant served amazing food with much comfortable environment than restaurant in the ancient town. I can say a hotel must stay in Shangrila and definitely I would return if visit to Shangrila again.

The Yachajiao Manor was truly exceptional. We stayed here after hiking the first part of Tiger Leaping Gorge. The room was beautiful and modern. The heated floors kept the room at the perfect temperature in the cold winter. The bathroom had a very fancy toilet and shower with hot water 24 hours. The beds were super comfortable. The deck had a bathtub on it where the view was private and so beautiful. You could see all the stars at night and it was very peaceful. We ate dinner here and the food was wonderful, though we had read different. It was just right after a hike. The next day they offered a simple breakfast that also was super filling for our day 2 hike. I highly recommend this place. It was a treat in the middle of a long hike.

We have a great time here. The owner is friendly and allow us to early check in and stay after we check out — while waiting for departure time to next town. Easy to find halal food nearby the Inn. And the location is near to the Dukezong Old Town. Room is cozy and warm when outside temperature is killing us. There is oxygen supply you can buy at the counter in case needed. Will definitely book the same Inn next time we come here! Thank you for your great hosting ♥️

I was worried about the room being dirty and messy before, but I didn't expect it to be very clean and the bedding was very comfortable. The room and bathroom are separate, and there are disposable toilet seats. The camp has many small details, it's beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! ! ! The waiter sister and brother are very polite, and they help with the luggage when picking up and dropping off. The boss lady is also very generous and polite! The breakfast is very exquisite, and the scallion oil noodles are delicious👍 I love this place so much. After climbing the snow mountain this time, I will bring my family here next time!

Environment: The environment of Sangzhu Villa is really amazing. It is right next to the ancient city. When you go out, you will see the lively Moonlight Square. You can also see the night view of the ancient city at night, which is particularly beautiful. The courtyard of the hotel itself is also very distinctive. It feels like walking into a ******* home, quiet and comfortable. Hygiene: The room is very clean and you can see that it has been cleaned carefully. The sheets and quilt covers are all white, without any stains, so we feel very relieved to live here. The bathroom is also very tidy, without any peculiar smell, and very comfortable to use. Facilities: The facilities are also in place. There is floor heating in the room, which makes it warm in winter. There are also Internet, TV, and ******* fireplaces. It feels very warm to chat around the fireplace at night. What surprised me most was the luxurious copper-cast bathtub. It was so enjoyable to take a bath. Service: In terms of service, the staff of Sangzhu Villa are really enthusiastic. They greeted us with a smile as soon as we entered the door. If we need any help, they will solve it as soon as possible. The breakfast is also very rich, and there is butler-style service, which feels very considerate. In general, the accommodation experience at Sangzhu Villa was really great. The environment was beautiful, the hygiene was good, the facilities were complete, and the service was thoughtful. We were all very satisfied. Next time I come to Shangri-La, I will definitely choose here again. I also recommend it to friends who are going to Shangri-La. It is definitely worth staying here!
