Shangri-La Hotels with Airport pickup service

I can only repeat what the other reviews are mentioning: it’s clean, got good amenities, but everything seems a bit old. We had some WiFi issues but when it was working it was good. In general, the service wasn’t that great. We arrived tired after a long drive, no help with parking the car or the luggage. Check in was the most rigorous we had, even checking all the flight and train numbers we took. Also didn’t allow us to take a rest first. We went on a hike and wanted to take some Baozi from the breakfast - forbidden (I found that in China this is usually no problem). However, I think for the price it’s fine and while it doesn’t look like it, it’s quite clean. Also the dinner was quite good, breakfast not so much.

Located a little distance from the old-town is perfect for a good night sleep. The room had a magnificent view towards the mountains.  The staff was wonderful and helped us with all our needs and enquiries.  The breakfast was included and had a mix of Western and Asian dishes. We did not visit the gym or swimming pool during our stay. We will choose the hotel again.

The hotel is very well located, right in the heart of Dukezong Ancient Town. You can get to all the main attractions in Dukezong by foot. The staff is also helpful. They helped us carry our luggage from the hotel to the gate of the old town after we checked out. The bedroom is spacious and cozy, it makes you feel in tune with the traditional ******* lifestyle.

hotel is new. Rooms are large, clean, comfortable and well designed. A New hotel also means some inexperience staff, but everyone tries their best. One downside of the hotels location is the walking path to the old town is quite long as the direct pathway is currently blocked. Hope that changes

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The view is amazing all around. Our room was beautifully designed, bathroom window facing the snow mountain. The floor heating and fire place makes the whole room warm and cozy. Their property located on a route to the big hike, makes it convenient to check out the mountains and water fall. Super friendly staff, they go above and beyond to meet our needs. Also really loved the breakfast and dinner experience. Home style cooking, eventuating was yummy on the menu. We’ll definitely come back next time we visit Yunnan. This hotel itself is an whole experience to enjoy.

The hotel's breakfast surprised me. Yunnan specialty rice noodles are so good! There is also yak milk, which has a rich aroma. Shangri-La Sangzhu Villa is not just a hotel, but also a place for the soul to rest, and the most precious encounter on the journey. Here, you will not only gain a comfortable accommodation experience, but also a deep understanding of Shangri-La culture and unforgettable memories.

Highly praised: 1. Full of ethnic characteristics, I like it very much 2. The room has very good lighting, and you can see the yard from the window 3. Shangri-La is very cold at night, and there are radiators and electric blankets in the room ready for sleeping, and quilts + blankets on the bed 4. The towels are disposable, and people with mysophobia can use them with confidence. There are disposable slippers and plastic slippers, and they are fully equipped 5. The front desk and public areas are no longer as clean and tidy as the promotional pictures, but are full of clutter, as shown in the picture. And no matter how many nights you stay, the room will not be cleaned every day. If our trash can is full, we have to notify the front desk before emptying it. However, we only take out the trash, and we will not clean the hair from the bathroom drain. The bed Because of the light strip, you can see a lot of dust. Then all the people in the store are very friendly and provide pick-up and delivery services. In addition, the types of breakfast restaurants we cooperate with are relatively simple, including corn, white porridge, steamed buns and steamed buns for three days. To eat rice noodles, you need to pay an additional 15 per serving, and the portion is small and not delicious.

Great location, only 100m to Dukezhong ancient city and able to appreciate the local ******* culture. There are plenty of food shops preparing tasty local ******* cuisines. Very helpful counter staff to share with us in Mandarin to take the local bus #3 to the ******* temple and bus #12 to the Napa grassland respectively. Great value for money as the room allocated to me has direct view of the Great wheel and temple on Tortoise Hill.

Located within ancient city and a short bus ride to Songzhanling Monastery. No lack of F&B and supermarket, pharmacy within walking distance from Inn. Clean room. Service is good and friendly. Toilet seems to have some leaking though, floor is always wet even before we shower. Water pressure of shower is relatively good. Breakfast is local noodle soup or western toast, eggs and yoghurt with fruits. Both are delicious.
