I didn't use it, but there were meals, a bar, and a pool, and it seemed to be well maintained. The staff were friendly and good at English, so there was no problem with communication. I used an 8-person dormitory, but it was hot depending on the location. Other than that, I was satisfied with the two shower rooms, two toilets, curtains for each bedroom, and personal lighting.

Warning! Awful experience! We left early without a full refund due to the room being unfit for purpose! Main issue: THE RATS. On our first night in the family room we got woken at 3am to the sound of rats running around the walls and ceiling making a lot of noise, scurrying around and gnawing. It was VILE. It lasted all through the night so I couldn't go back to sleep. This wasn't helped by the fact there were holes in the walls and ceilings in the bathroom. We informed the reception that we didn't want to continue our stay and wanted to leave on our last night with more than 24 hours notice and they refused to help, we asked if a different room might help but we were not accommodated. As this discussion was happening a huge rat ran through the reception in sight of us and the reception staff and they still would not give us a full refund for our last day. (We left, lost money and had to pay for another hotel) Other problems to be aware of: - Shower fitting was from above only and very dated with the fittings and wires hanging off and large holes in the ceiling and walls -Rock hard beds to the point it hurts your bones. -NO TV (the wires had apperently been cut in the street so this isn't getting fixed any time soon) -Extremely poor WiFi, hardly worked/connected (apparently due to โtoo many guestsโ) - Poor cleanliness stains on sheets & towels - Run down in general, rusty sunbeds, holes in walls, holes in towels etc - Useless Sun beds with no functional back rest, pillow kept moving and wasn't a good angle to lie back on - False spa advertising ... The spa closed down a while ago and doesn't offer 3/4 of the treatments it says, and if you do want a massage they call an external therapist to come your room and do it on your bed, which with the lack of cleanliness I would presume they don't change your oily sheets afterwards. - Pool was dangerous, greasy tiles underfoot so when getting in and out of the pool it was very easy to slip and the edges of benches/seats/raised areas in the pool all had very sharp edges that you could cut yourself on. It was also in the shade for part of the morning and all of the afternoon. - seemingly uninterested reception staff that couldn't help - Poor customer service, with no house keeping & only a small amount of toilet paper given for 3 nights Please trust us and do not go,

I am writing to express my utmost satisfaction and gratitude towards the impeccable services provided by your hotel, The Sarai. I have had the opportunity to stay in numerous hotels during my travels, but The Sarai has truly left a lasting impression on me. First and foremost, I would like to highlight the outstanding level of service that your staff exhibited throughout my stay. The entire team at The Sarai, especially Rose, David, and Anna, went above and beyond to ensure that I had a delightful experience. Their dedication and willingness to assist me were truly commendable. I must add that all the other staff members were equally helpful and contributed to making my stay exceptional. Apart from the exceptional service, I was particularly impressed with the hotel's amenities. The comfortable beds ensured a restful sleep, the delicious breakfast provided a great start to the day, and the fabulous pool offered a refreshing retreat. Furthermore, I was thrilled to receive a complimentary 30-minute massage, which I decided to extend due to its immense relaxation benefits. I also want to express my appreciation for the assistance I received from your staff in various other aspects. From arranging transportation to and from the airport to helping me mail out postcards, their support was invaluable. I couldn't have asked for more. In terms of location, The Sarai's proximity to the main shopping and restaurant area is incredibly convenient. The short tuk tuk ride or 10-minute walk ensured that I had easy access to all the attractions and amenities in the city. Additionally, I would like to mention the excellent tuk tuk drivers that your hotel has partnered with. These local drivers were not only knowledgeable about their beautiful city, but they also provided exceptional service and were readily available to show me around. Their passion for Siem Reap was evident, and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city with their guidance. My experience at The Sarai has been nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of exceptional service, top-notch amenities, and a dedicated staff has made my stay truly memorable. I am grateful for the outstanding hospitality and will not hesitate to recommend The Sarai to anyone visiting Siem Reap. Thank you once again for providing me with a remarkable experience.

Booked this hotel only for two nights 6-8 Jan. My past experience during my earlier travels in some cases was bad in the sense the hotel description and photographs were not factual. I reached the Angkor land Urban Botuque on 6 Jan afternoon to check in. First look at the Hotel building told me I have made the right choice. The most happening place in Siem Reap the Pub Street was about a km away. The hotel surrounding were very clean with a wide road in front and a big parking space in front. As soon as I entered the huge lobby with teak wood interiors I was greeted by the the hotel staff team. Check in took just a couple of minutes. Meanwhile the Manager of the hotel Mr. Eng Sona came and met me too which was a nice feeling. He said he is giving me a very good room on the fourth floor and if I did not mind he would shift me to a still better room the very next day which was then occupied. The room was very big and very comfortable. Had all the amenities. The next day the Manager showed me the other room on the third floor. I agreed to shift. This room too was large, the bathroom had a bath tub and in addition a separate glass bath enclosure too. It had a balcony too overlooking the swimming pool. The pool was excellent. Breakfast menu was also very good. The hotel arranged my tours too. Tuk Tuk and the motorcycle buggy called the Remork was always available just outside the hotel.. After this most wonderful experience in the first two days I extended my stay further for the remaining days too from 8- 11 Jan 24. The Manager Mr.Sona met me regularly to enquire if I was comfortable and whether I needed anything. His team of young boys and girls too were very responsive and greeted the guests everytime. I did not find any flaw or anything to complain about during my entire stay. I had the the most memorable experience in Angkor Land Urban Boutique thanks to Mr. Sona the Manager and his team.

While staying at Metta residence my Husband enjoyed a nine night stay. The breakfast buffet was consistent each morning and lucky served us each day with a smile and fresh hot coffee. The rooms were clean daily and very spacious. The front desk was always hopeful. It was a bit moist at times. Tuk Tuk driver called Kimsun was extremely helpful and very generous, many evenings, he drove us around without asking for anything extra, which gave us a reason to provide him with a great tip. I do recommend this hotel for couples and families. The pool is beautiful and is in the sun until about 4 PM daily.

They don't check you in before 14:00 (this is not a complaint, this is a fact that may be useful to other guests who will be planning their trip).
I was waiting for a room from 10:30 to 14:00. You can leave your things in the lobby, they offer to spend time by the pool, which is nice, they treat you to a welcome drink, the staff is attentive and caring.
After a 10-hour drive from Thailand, I really wanted to take a hot shower.
Having checked into the room, I discovered that all the plumbing was broken. At the reception, they refused to change the room - a repairman came and fixed everything in 30 minutes. I asked him where the hot water was? We waited 20 minutes for someone to come and explain its absence. It turned out that there was no hot water in this room! They offered another room until tomorrow, and tomorrow they will check us into the main one.
In a temporary room with hot water it was 5+++. The chair is very dirty, with stains, with someone's hair.
The next day they offered to move to a family room on the 1st floor, hot water was temporarily lost, the furniture was clean.
There were no robes in any of the rooms, slippers were found in the 1st room.
For those who care - TV and phones do not work.
Breakfast is a small buffet + they cook eggs at will and soup of your choice. (Khmer cuisine). For me, everything was delicious, I think this is a good introduction to the local cuisine.
The staff is extremely friendly, the hall is very beautiful, the pool is pleasant, but the condition of the rooms spoils everything.

Spacious, relaxing and very clean hotel. I love the hotel interior - with minimal decor which made it look more elegant. The staff were very courteous; friendly but professional. We appreciated the early check in which gave us some needed sleep since our flight was past midnight. We tried the BBQ night by the pool accompanied by good music. The food at Lok Lak restaurant were great, if you wish to explore Cambodian dishes. Overall, it was a great stay.

This is a walk-on-go trip, and this Mane Harihalaya is the most wonderful part of this trip! First of all, the smile in the lobby is the friendly smile. The welcome is a cold and cool flavored drink and fresh fruit plate. You can have an extra bed according to your needs. The service is very good. The pool is clean and comfortable. In addition to swimming, Mochi, very very clean! In addition, it is worth a great deal of food in the hotel restaurant. It is simply color and smell to the point of breaking the table. Thank you to the hotel lobby and restaurant manager for a very happy trip to Angkor! Next time still choose Mane Harihalaya ๐๐

GGuest UserSala Lodges in the enchanting city of Siem Reap is nothing short of a hidden gem that boasts not only of charming aesthetics but also of exceptional service that made our stay unforgettable. Nestled quietly away, this hotel provided a tranquil retreat that was much needed during our travel.
The service at Sala Lodges was commendable, embodying the true spirit of hospitality. The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed.
As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved.
The hotelโs kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration.
Adding to the hotelโs allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. During the wet season, the atmosphere around Sala Lodges was even more calming and soothing, with the soft sound of rain providing a comforting backdrop to our stay.
To sum it up, our experience at Sala Lodges was nothing short of magical. From the excellent service to the beautifully appointed rooms and delightful meals, every aspect of the hotel contributed to a stay that was serene, comfortable, and absolutely enjoyable. Whether youโre traveling in the wet season or not, Sala Lodges offers a cosy retreat that will surely enhance your Siem Reap adventure. Highly recommended!
Eeruin347I rarely take time to write detailed reviews but I wanted to share my truly unforgettable experience at The Royal Family Suite by Memoire Palace Resort & Spa.
Nestled amidst the vibrant city, the hotel stands out as the epitome of luxury and hospitality. Impeccable service (a special thank you to the manager, John), exquisite, carefully thought out design (you can literally swim from your balcony), and outstanding amenities, I genuinely believe Memoire Palace Resort & Spa has established itself as the premier destination for travelers seeking an unforgettable experience in Siem Reap.
Some of my favorite parts about the hotel and experience in general were:
Interior & Exterior Architecture: A harmonious blend of traditional Khmer influences and contemporary elegance creates a truly breathtaking atmosphere. The attention to detail in the interior design, with its lavish furnishings, excellent choice of lighting, and unique artistic touches, elevates the overall experience to new heights. The room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and equipped with state-of-the-art amenities. The plush bedding, tranquil ambiance, and panoramic views create an oasis of relaxation.
The Exceptional Service: One of the standout features of Memoire Palace Resort & Spa is its commitment to providing exceptional service to its guests and the environment. The staff members are attentive, courteous and go above and beyond to meet every guest's needs. The manager even made an effort to visit me at the gym as he could not greet me at the reception. The hotel's staff is truly dedicated to creating a seamless and memorable stay for each visitor. In addition, the commitment to a plastic-free experience was impressive - there was literally none in all the facilities. They should be commended.
Culinary Options: Memoire Palace Resort & Spa boasts an impressive array of dining options, each offering a unique culinary experience. From traditional Khmer delicacies to international flavors. The Stage 1960 had an impressive menu with imported meats I doubt can be found elsewhere; breakfast every morning was beautiful with the freshest local ingredients to create innovative dishes; even the room service, typically an afterthought, was thoughtful with something for everyone.
Location: The Royal Family Suite by Memoire Palace Resort & Spa is ideally located. The hotel is a stone's throw away from the magnificent Angkor Wat, allowing guests to easily explore the UNESCO World Heritage site. Additionally, it's only a 2-minute ride to the bustling Old Market and the vibrant Pub Street, providing convenient access to local markets, shops, and lively nightlife. Tuk-tuk drivers are on standby outside the hotel so there is no wait
In summary, Memoire Palace Resort & Spa is a beacon of luxury, hospitality, and elegance in Siem Reap. I have yet to find a flaw! Whether you are a business traveler, family, or here for a honeymoon - I highly recommend choosing this resort when booking your accommodation in Siem Reap!
GGuest UserMy first time to experience such a world class treatment from all the staff. I was picked up from the airport and offered me a cold towel and a cold drink. When i arrived at the hotel, i was greeted with a welcoming drink and another cold towel. The buffet breakfast were so superb. Every time i sat at the table, they would again gave me a cold towel. (Seriously, this hotel has tons of cold towels ๐). Every time i went to the pool, there was a hot tea and an unlimited banana chips being served immediately. My room was insanely beautiful. I was welcome with a personalised note in my bed, great view of the balcony and very chic bath tub. The room's interior design is also to die-for. ๐ To the staff, thank you guys for being so friendly, approachable and professional. Special mentions to the Supervisor who always greets me with a welcoming smile whenever he sees me (sorry i forgot your name sir). To Ms Chet, who gave me a tour. To the guy who gave me a scarf upon checkout( sorry i also forgot your name, too. โน๏ธ). To Mr. Myr whose very approachable. To the girl who helped me take my pictures in the pool (sorry i forgot your name too) and to my driver Mr Moe. Thank you guys for making my stay a memorable one. Just a little thing to add, Iโm just not used about the cleaning protocol. I was startled and woke up many times by the hotel cleaning staff by automatically opening my door and asked me if i want to clean the room even though i did not put a signage in front of my door or informing somebody. However, those are just small matter than can be fixed. Truthfully, i donโt have anything bad to say about this hotel. I donโt mind staying here for a long time. โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
Nncnicoleit was a short getaway for me and my husband and this hotel was truly beyond our expectations.
what we loved:
1. free pick up from airport and you can also easily arrange a trip to the airport for USD44
2. free massage for 2 pax which was super relaxing
3. super clean and beautifully designed room
4. exceptional service from the staff
5. the overall design and layout of the hotel was very calming
6. they provide free tuktuk rides to the city, just have to pay USD3 if you want a ride back
only thing we did not like was that they only accepted NEW cash notes although everywhere else in Siem Reap accepted used notes. overall would definitely recommend.
GGuest UserWe stayed for 4 nights and had a great experience. Staff were friendly and welcoming; always keen to help. Great location close to the supermarkets, bubble tea store, food eateries, and a short distance from Pub Street and other local attractions. Staff made sure that the room is tended to everyday, it's left clean and tidy for us. Fresh water is left daily, shower had good pressure, A/C helps to cool the room, and bed is comfortable. Tip: Ask for 2 x keycards to keep one in the room to a/c running. We had complimentary breakfast in the mornings, plenty of choices from the al a carte menu and buffet - delicious and well-made pancakes, french toast, iced coffee, congee, and noodle soup. The only suggestions I could think of is to have A/C on (or fan) in the lobby to make it more welcoming for guests on entry. Also to have more channels available on the TV. Otherwise everything was good and we enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to friends and family.
PpassportfullofrosiesposiesThis hotel, particularly the service, has made me in love with Siem Reap. Mr Phea, Ms. Thida and Ms. Annie truly deserve my recommendation for their great hospitality, genuine care, and friendliness. I was first greeted my Mr Phea at the airport for the pick-up by TukTuk. It was a complimentary by the hotel. He was welcoming and so was Ms Thida when I arrived at the hotel. Not only with her warm smiles, I was also welcomed with a cold towel and a refreshing lemomgrass drink. We chatted like as if we had already known each other! As the room was already available on my arrival , I was granted early check-in to my room. Thank you, Ms Thida! I love my room. It was spacious and cosy. I wished the mini bar was complimentary but no biggie as there's a small grocery store just across the road where you can buy instant noodles, snacks, drinks and toiletries etc I spent the rest of my day out on a TukTuk for sightseeing and lunch. Mr Phea was my loyal TukTuk driver throughout my stay in Anjali. He was also like a tour guide and a friend to me. He brought me to an area where the Muslim community lives. There's a mosque and plenty of Halal food/restaurants. I truly appreciate Mr Phea doing this for me. Because of this, I had the opportunity to devour the delicious Cambodian dishes of Beef Lok Lak, Amok Fish, etc, without having to worry if it was pork-free and safe for me to eat. He brought me for a drive along the paddy fields and to watch the sunset. When I returned to the hotel, I was greeted by Ms Annie and Mr Panha. They were friendly too! Breakfast was alright to me. My first morning, I had my breakfast prepared and packed in a tiffin carrier as I left at 4am to go for the Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour. They packed hard boiled eggs, croissants, bananas, and little baguettes with jam. Only one morning I went to the restaurant for my breakfast and I chose Waffles with fresh fruits. There's a buffet of bakeries (bread, pastries, cakes), fresh fruit juices, cereals, and salad. I would totally recommend that the hotel look into an airtight container for the cereals as the ones I ate were all kinda soft and stale. The salad too should be covered because it was 'covered' with fruit flies and flies feasting on it. My two other breakfasts were spent in my room as requested. One of it was exceptionally good. I requested for scrambled eggs with cheese and mushrooms and I got just that. It was creamy and fluffy! I requested for smoked salmon at the side but was given smoked salmon bagel with rocket leaves and
The morning on my check-out day was sort of disgusting. The scrambled eggs were dry and two of out the croissants were cold. The watermelon Juice was good though. It could have been perfect if a glass of ice was served alongside with it.
SSteven Timothy RoweThe first night I was put in a room with an air conditioner that was running but never cooled. The next room had a family of very loud people that went most of the night. The staff is friendly and attentive, but obtrusive. I was moved to another room which had excellent air conditioning and was comfortable.
I have lived extensively in SE Asia and am familiar with the culture. However, always being asked,โWhere are you going,โ or โWhat are you doing?โ Made me feel very uncomfortable. Simply tell guests that if they need anything or have any questions to please ask, instead of feeling interrogated each time I walked in and out of the hotel.
The girl that served in the dining room had a warm smile and was very kind and she always tried to serve well and did great. The days she was off, it was an uncomfortable awkward experience just trying to have a simple breakfast. Just trying to get salt or getting condiments so that I could eat my food while it was hot, was almost impossible.
As an exercise swimmer, the pool was very unclear at first. I asked if it could be cleaned and their was resistance to do so. Eventually it was cleaned and later it was much better.
I booked my room for two and my girlfriend was only able to be with me part of the time. One evening when I walked into reception with her, the guy was rude and disrespectful and interrogating us both. It was a very uncomfortable and unacceptable situation.
I had booked it for two weeks. Two days before I left, one evening, there was a rat running on the soffit near the ceiling. I didnโt complain about it because my stay was nearly finished and I donโt know what they would even try to do to remedy the situation.
The balconies are nice and overall it was quiet and peaceful.
GGuest UserInitially we found the room had been cleaned but they did not change the bedding with previous hairs and debris. They immediately changed it when we told the issue. Room is very spacious and quiet because it is a little bit away from busy streets. Please check the inventory for drinks and snacks before you use them. Make sure that the items are the same as the listed. Breakfast is not buffered and you need pay a little bit more dollars if you want to choose better ones. The front desk staff are very welcoming. Our room is on the fourth floor and we had to go up/down by our feet. Overall we stayed very well.
GGuest UserThis hotel gets rave reviews to which I do not understand. The rooms are dated with faded curtains, cushions and bench seats, your balcony cabana rooms have a small shared balcony with only two seats so realistically, not really a balcony you can use with an occupied room next door. Due to this I was upgraded to a room with a private balcony to which I was grateful, however the room still isn't the best. The toilet seat had stains on in on the curve so looks like has never really been scrubbed clean, marks on the walls and an a/c unit that is keeping the room slightly cooler than outside. The distance from the centre is also a lot further than promoted. Staff are of course all fabulous but they all are in Cambodia, they do hospitality service well in this country. The pool is small with only7 lounges and each time I tried to get one they were all full. I was sent a message upon booking offering massages at the hotel from $8 but when I arrived to prices started from $14. In a highly competitive accommodation market I'd advise you to stay elsewhere closer to the city for the same price.
GGuest UserGuests should be aware that, although the webpage clearly states that rooms are equipped with a 21 inch television including cable service, this is deception. Technically yes, there is a tv, but no cable or antennae service, and no remote control. The front desk clerk told me that no rooms have tv service due to sidewalk re-construction , however no construction was evident at the time of my stay.
I was checked into a 3rd floor room, and the internet signal was too weak. When I complained, I was moved to a 2nd floor room, so problem solved. If you choose to stay here, be forewarned that there are no elevators. Also, be aware that Pub Street is very close (across the street) and the very loud music persists throughout every night, until 6 AM. A good pair of ear plugs is an essential requirement. On my last night there I could not use the earplugs because I needed to set an alarm clock due to early morning travel obligations, and it was a sleepless night for me.
On the plus side, the prices are reasonable considering these faults. The staff were friendly, including front desk clerks and the house keeping persons. On two occasions, however, the housekeepers failed to lock my room door after cleaning, so my belongings were vulnerable to theft until I returned to the room. The second time, the door was left ajar! I brought this to the desk clerkโs attention, so it didnโt happen again. The rooms that I saw were kept clean and well maintained, except TV service, as well as the lobby and hallways. I did not use, nor see the pool area, and was not advised by staff upon check-in, of its existence, so I cannot comment on that.
This has a policy prohibiting you from bringing anyone to your room, unless they are a registered guest at the hotel.
I would give this hotel a 2.5 stars rating, out of 5 possible stars, overall.
There are numerous restaurants within a few minutes walk. Khmer Kitchen, just a three minute walk, on San Sok Road, was one of my favorites. The night markets are also close by as well. Tuk- tuk drivers are always readily available should you want to visit Angkor Wat or other sites.
