I will never stay there again , never stay any where with no reception. I turned up and there was nobody there to open the door. I knocked and after a while another guest let me in. I called the manager who took ages to answer the phone and did not believe me, she eventually accepted and refused to let me have a door pass I thought I will sleep in the kitchen, but after a while she sent me an email asking me to send in a passport photo as ID and finally I got the door pass. I will stay in a hotel next time this guest house is a waste of time.

We arrived around 5pm, the front door was locked. No receptionist. A lady in downstairs room opened door and we used the phone provided to ring reception. On phone lady said I have been waiting for, I did not have a contact number for you and I have now given the room to someone else (despite my number being on the booking form). A ground floor room was required due to our age and the amount of luggage we had . We were told there was a room upstairs, but that there was no way of getting the luggage upstairs, no lift and no one to assist us. When we asked how we were to get the luggage upstairs, we were told it wasn't her problem. We then asked for a refund so that we could book alternative accommodation, but were told that a refund would not be given and the phone was then slammed down on us. We then had the inconvenience of having to find alternative accommodation for the night. This proved to be highly stressful as all local hotels were fully booked. Not the way we expected to start our holiday. We will not be recommending this hotel or booking service, and would appreciate communication from yourselves to to arrange a prompt refund.

Self service so expected some instructions - couldnt get tv to work. Coffee, tea n sugar provided - no milk. Kettle supplied on shelf - no plug nearby. Low light - difficult to read. However good location, warn and clean - also cheap. :)

Although nothing the owners fault, they party next-door was very loud.I would think this was an infrequent issue. This would not stop me from staying here again

Amenities were average. Getting in was hard. Back door was broken. Limited towels, etc. I would not stay here again!

The place had an awful smell throughout the whole house. We stayed ontop and the smell was even worse. It was so cold that night that we slept with the windows open just because the smell was so terrible. There was no way to contact the people in charge to ask if we could stay in a late check out because check out was 10am and we were going on a cruise at 1pm and we didnt know what to do or where to go and we had to leave at 10am.
