Komodo Spa Hotels

This hotel wasn’t the most expensive one I’ve booked, yet it delivered the best experience by far. Perched on a cliff, it is fully equipped with complete facilities and surrounded by stunning scenery. The hotel’s bougainvillea blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. You can witness four distinct breathtaking views throughout the day — morning, noon, afternoon and sunset, with the sunset being exceptionally gorgeous and perfect for photos. The hotel staff are incredibly warm; they are the most thoughtful and friendly service workers I encountered during my entire trip across Indonesia. All the hotel restaurants serve fantastic food. The main restaurant offers Asian, Italian and even Chinese cuisine, which suits the taste of our Chinese family perfectly. The Kiks Seafood Restaurant in the evening stands out especially, serving the most delicious grilled seafood I have ever tasted. Compared with Ayana in Bali, the service here is superior. The staff are more welcoming and always wear smiles, making me feel right at home. There are never too many guests, so it never feels crowded. Whether you are dining, relaxing on a lounge chair, playing in the swimming pool, wandering along wooden boardwalks, joining sunset tours or enjoying sea activities, everything feels comfortable, free and laid-back the entire time. This is what a real vacation ought to be like. I don’t even need to travel elsewhere; spending five or six days staying inside this hotel would be absolutely perfect. The hotel also provides a full range of recreational activities. We only stayed for two days and left wishing we could stay longer. The housekeeping staff folded adorable monkey and animal shapes out of towels for us. Without a doubt, this is the most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in, and the only one I’m eager to revisit. I highly recommend this hotel. I think it's the best hotel on Komodo Island. They offer free airport shuttle service. On the day of our arrival, my child probably drank a glass of unclean orange juice and vomited and had diarrhea all over the sofa that night. The hotel picked us up and took us to the hospital early the next morning. When we returned, it was past breakfast time, but after we mentioned it to the staff, they brought breakfast directly to our room. The hotel didn't charge us any extra for any of this, not even a cleaning fee. I can only say that for a room rate of just over 2,000 yuan, we received hotel service worth over 5,000 yuan. The service is even better than the Ritz-Carlton Retreat in Bali. You can go for it without hesitation. Also, the food at that restaurant was pretty good. Although some people complained about the price, honestly, I've never seen cheap food at a five-star hotel. Isn't it all about convenience and comfort? I ordered lamb chops and fish, and both were delicious, especially the lamb chops – they were fantastic and suited to Chinese tastes! The bill came to about 500 RMB, which I think is acceptable. Also, I strongly advise everyone to buy bottled water. Some hotels provide bottled water, while others provide glass bottles. Try to drink less of the glass bottles, and definitely avoid water with ice – who knows what kind of water those ice cubes are made of? Directly talk about dry goods: This hotel is very good, a garden-style hotel, two-story small building, very homely. And it is not a closed building, the passage is open, and the view is very good. The room was very large, and there was a mat on the foot of the bed. Later, we played with the baby on the mat, which was very nice. Dinner was settled in the restaurant by the hotel’s beach, which tasted good. The waiter provides mosquito repellent water to every table guest. The juice is especially recommended for breakfast, especially the mixed juice. Mrs. TM is delicious! ! It's all freshly squeezed juice without water. In Indonesia, the juice is so delicious, it is really different from the domestic juice. You can watch the sunset on the beach. It should be noted that the sunset is high tide and low tide in the morning. The area of the beach changes greatly. If you want to play well, it is best to go in the morning and have breakfast right there. We are catching crabs there. The crabs run fast and it is difficult to catch them. The hotel provides paid airport pick-up and drop-off service, 60,000 cars, and the time of arrival at the airport and flight number should be indicated in the remarks when placing the order. You can also take a taxi at the airport, 700,000 cars. If you want to fly a drone in Komodo, you need to apply for a permit in advance. It’s like 800 RMB. I don’t know where to do it, so I didn’t fly.... If you have a drone, you must bring it. Find out where to do it. The scenery of Modo National Park is so beautiful, the effect of shooting with a drone will be particularly good. The local price of Komodo Island Hopping Day Tour is basically the same as that of Flying Pig. You can book anywhere, and you can also book it in the hotel. If there are many people, it is highly recommended to charter a speedboat. It is too convenient and enjoys a geometric improvement. If the per capita price increases by less than RMB 200, it is worth upgrading the speedboat.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the pier. Contrary to some rumors, there was no excessive motor noise in the morning or air pollution. The environment was comfortable; although the room was a bit small, it was very clean. Overall, the service was good with daily cleaning, though the staff seemed a bit short-handed during check-in and check-out times. The breakfast was plentiful, offering a buffet along with freshly made coffee and stir-fried noodles. The hotel also provides a free airport shuttle, which was punctual and convenient. Highly recommended!

Loved the location! The staff were also very friendly and the area was clean. The view from the cafe was beautiful too! 👍🏻

Pros: 1. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and provided excellent service. 2. There's a private snorkeling area, which was a great experience, especially since we didn't book a liveaboard. Cons: 1. No internet, no internet, no internet! Apart from a few rooms on the hilltop, most rooms have extremely poor mobile signal (you can barely receive messages). WiFi is only available at the front desk. The management's excuse is that they ”don't want external noise to disturb guests,” but it's one thing if I have it and choose not to use it, and quite another if I need it and it's not available. If you need to stay consistently connected, this hotel is definitely not for you. 2. Prices are quite high. Since it's on a private island, a slight markup is understandable, but sometimes the prices are ridiculously high. For example, the hotel organized a beach buffet for 700k Indonesian Rupiah, which is about 300+ RMB after tax. The seafood options were only grilled shrimp, squid, and fish (the first two were served very slowly), and the only meat was grilled chicken skewers. In contrast, on the main island, we bought two large lobsters, two mantis shrimp as thick as a woman's arm, and even got two free squids, all for just over 700 RMB.

Located north of Bajau city, this hotel is a bit out of the way, but the views are absolutely stunning – perfect for watching both sunrise and sunset. The balcony offers sea views, and the rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable! The balcony itself is a highlight, with both pool and sea views. It's most convenient if you're driving or have a chartered car, as it's about a 15-minute drive to Bajau center. Nearby Sylvia Hill is a local favorite for sunset viewing, and it's truly breathtaking! When we went out to sea early the next morning, the hotel even prepared an incredibly generous breakfast box for us. The restaurant also boasts amazing 180-degree sea views and a fantastic location. For just over 600 a night, the value for money is exceptional. Highly recommend staying here if you have a car or chartered transport! Drone footage from the hotel balcony is absolutely incredible!!

The room was really spacious and even had a balcony! It's super close to the airport and just around the corner from the main street. Out of all the places we stayed during our two weeks in Indonesia, this was definitely our favorite hotel! They cleaned our room every day, and the front desk staff always greeted us with a smile. When everyone you meet is smiling, it's impossible to be in a bad mood, right?! Hahahaha, I didn't take any hotel photos, only pictures of the beautiful Komodo scenery.

Very cute hotel far away from the hussel and bussel of everything. While the distance might inconvenience some, that was exactly what we were looking for. As mentioned in the other comments, the hotel isn’t the easiest to get to as you have to go down a little goat path if you come in from the top of the mountain. Definitely recommend getting the shuttle offered by the hotel to pick you up from the airport as our taxi driver had a hard time finding it haha. Super friendly staff, ready to help no matter the issue, even carried our (and in my case very heavy) suitcases down the path. Food is average but prepared with care. Electricity and (hot) water is limited and internet is only available in the main area from 6-9pm but they extended that time for us as we were the only people there at that time. Cute little beach in front of the hotel though there is a lot of trash (not the hotel’s fault- visible across all the islands) Just 1 tip: BRING MOSQUITO SPRAY! 🤭

Place looked like the pictures but was a bit more dirty in the corners of the room but otherwise no problem. Staff was friendly and helpful. The place is a bit far from the airport however only 10min walk to the harbour. There was also a prayer place right across the street so it got very loud at 2am
