What an awesome experience! The hotel offered exemplary service before we even arrived. Due to special travel arrangements, we arrived late and the staff quick to arrange an in-room bento dinner for us before our arrival. When we got there, we were immediately blown away by the gorgeousness of the hotel.
Despite its age, everything was very clean and polished. I can see that great care had been taken to upkeep the hotel and it’s premises, which are extraordinarily beautiful. We couldn’t resist taking pictures even after check-out, and it took us an hour to finally reluctantly leave. Words cannot actually do the place justice, you must visit there yourself.
We were very impressed with how delicious the food was, and the attention to detail, including the placement of the food, the coordination of food color. My mouth is still watering as I recall how delicious it was. I had 10 helpings of their prime rib one day. Besides, I had a dietary restriction and the staff were really careful with that, to the extent of reminding me what dishes not to eat everyday at their breakfast and dinner buffet.
In addition to excellent food and service, the hotel went out of its way to be very eco-friendly. For every day that we did not need our room to be tidied, we earned points, which can be traded in for ice cream or other goodies.
Finally, the staff spoke perfect English. This is rare indeed, and it made everything so much easier and so much more enjoyable. Thanks for the experience!

His attachment to France can be seen everywhere. The herbal tea and pudding served as a welcome drink were very delicious and I understood the concept of this pension. The sweets have a rich flavor made from concentrated ingredients. This alone is enough to satisfy me. The wines are purchased from France, so you can enjoy hard-to-find wines at reasonable prices. It seems like they have a treasure trove of expensive wines that I don't think I'll ever be able to drink. The homemade bread and croissants imported from France are also of high quality. It's no wonder that people who match the owner's and sommelier's preferences become repeat customers.

We stayed 5 nights (late Feb) in a room with twin beds and an additional lounge/bed. Room was clean and very spacious with a couple of chairs and table to sit and look out at the mountain view (worth asking if this is available). Was great to look out in the morning to see what weather to expect. Bathroom had separate shower room with a bath tub, separate toilet room and then basin area. Onsen very good. Ski storage and drying room together in one big room - can lock skis, although no one worried about it. Owner of the hotel provides wonderful care for the guests offering advice on the area, timetables, restaurant recommendations, called ahead helping us with our next leg of the journey and even cooked (he is an accomplished chef) a degustation dinner for us and another couple - delicious!! Get your lift passes through the hotel for a good discount. We typically walked the 10min to the bus terminal when going to other mountains and put our shoes in an on mountain locker (200 or 300 yen) while skiing which made travelling around more comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was very plentiful with many options - always an egg dish, hot dishes, japanese breakfast, toast, fruit, yoghurt, coffee & tea and much more. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

It is a long-established pension, but it was very clean and comfortable. Dinner was a very delicious full course with soup, fish, meat, dessert, etc. Guests can enjoy homemade yogurt for breakfast. The dining room was large and there was enough space to sit next to each other, so I could enjoy my meal without worrying about corona infection. After dinner, relax in front of the fireplace with a drink. The bath is spacious and the shower has plenty of hot water. The private parking lot is large enough for peace of mind, and the slopes are within walking distance, so you don't have to wait in line for the shuttle bus in the village. Would definitely visit again.

Outstanding
GGuest UserI had earlier planned to stay at another hotel but on a waiting list by hotel Tokyu . A gentleman by The. Name of Yoshida wrote to me explaining very carefully all I needed to know about the hotel and that they now can house me . Very polite very helpful . They didn’t ask for a deposit which I’m not sure is the correct protocol but since they offered trust , I also decided to trust them and accept the offer . While there every one of the staff were there to help , and there was a half jap / English chap who also guided me with tips to where to visit et al. These made up for us being a little further off the centre of things . The bus shuttle for the ski slopes schedule by the resort was adequate although I would wish it to be more frequent . We walked most of the time to the nearby Happo village area for foods. In the first day snow was sparing , but the coming days that all change and what a pretty site . Getting meals was tough , u need to beeok a day ahead at least , and usually only two slots 1730 or 1930 . We adjusted ourselves . The hotel itself is well maintained, has its charm , and breakfast was excellent . I don’t understand the fuss on Google reviews saying they were all the same . It’s a buffet , of course it has to be . Anyway all in all despite being further away from centre , think it is still an excellent hotel with impeccable and hardworking staff making sure all went well . Thank you Tokyu
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sierra Resort, Hakuba when we visited in February. The hotel itself is beautiful, well maintained and offers a lot to its visitors. The hotel is set outside of the main town in it's own little secluded area. This can be a plus and minus - Positive because the resort is so beautiful and away from the hustle and bustle, negative as it can at times be difficult to access transport to and from town (restaurants, bars, ski fields, etc). The hotel offers a shuttle bus in the evenings to take you into town, although you need to book in there and back, which can be restrictive of your time at dinner, etc as you have to decide on a return time. The shuttle bus doesn't stop near all restaurants, so you could be walking in the dark/cold to your reservation and then waiting in the cold for the return bus. Keep this in mind - a lot of the time we found it more convenient to order a taxi, although these can be hard to come by and expensive! The Ski shuttle bus picks up/drops off at the hotel each day. Buses are busy and there are no racks for ski/board gear - you need to carry everything onto the bus with you, which can be very squishy as the buses get quite full. We found Tsugaike to be the closest and most convenient ski field to the hotel. The staff at the hotel were always very friendly and helpful. Language barriers existed, although staff would always ensure they had assisted you by the end of the conversation, you just have to allow a little more time in your schedule to organise and make your plans. This also allowed us time to learn some simple Japanese which assisted us when communicating with the staff. Sierra Hotel offers complimentary food at different times throughout the day, served in the main lobby area - curries, rice, soup, etc. This is so convenient when you get back from the ski fields and just want a small bite to eat before dinner. Hotel also offers complimentary wine, tea and ice creams. Breakfast - great selection of Japanese and Western food. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning. There were always new things to try each day - eg: different soups (pumpkin, corn), also beautiful views outside. Dinner - we had dinner at the hotel one night from the A La Carte menu. Also thoroughly enjoyed our meals (Pasta, calamari, soup, fries, etc). Rooms were big, very comfortable and warm with special heating. Beautiful views of the snow and areas around the hotel. Our favourite part of the resort was the beautiful public and private onsens made up of pure mineral water. The private onsens need to be booked in ahead of time which the hotel allows each morning - you will need to be quick to make a booking. We would definitely recommend Hotel Sierra Resort and would stay here again. Thank you to the staff for an enjoyable stay! :)
GGuest UserThis time I stayed in the newly renovated new wing of the hotel. The room was very comfortable, beautiful and hygienic. The view outside the room was very beautiful. The staff were also very enthusiastic. In addition, free drinks and noodles were provided after taking a bath. I will definitely choose it again next time. here
AAomensufeiThe old house converted into a hotel
The price is moderate. It is a bit far from the scenic spot, suitable for self-driving tour.
There is no good brunch nearby, Fortunately, the hotel provides a simple breakfast.
There is a big restaurant 2 minutes away by foot, It is only open at night, and it is a good Japanese restaurant.
Features hot stone facilities. The bathroom in the room is relatively simple, and the public bathing place has to go to the annex a few buildings away.
quiet and simple community

HhaymummyService and hygiene have always been of Japanese standard. The brother at the front desk is still driving in the snow and we go to the convenience store to buy things. Location, 5 minutes to Wulong Snow Resort, it was an excellent location. But what needs to be done is the big environment. Because I used to go to Niseko, Hokkaido, there are very convenient restaurants, shopping, and convenience stores nearby. But Baima Wulong is very barren here. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the nearest restaurant, which is very unsuitable. Of course, this hotel has nothing to do with itself
浩浩司 岩I stayed on a tour of a travel agency that is good at skiing called JamJam Tour. I think the hotel is mainly open to skiing and boarding customers in winter. In the summer, Trapix and club tourism groups are also accepted. This time, I stayed at the same inn with a tour of two large buses for both nights, but I didn't meet anyone in the hot springs or in the lobby, and I was only with them when I was eating. It was good that the hot springs were reserved and always put in. It's small, but there is an open-air bath, but there is no sauna. The room was a twin room, but there is a sofa in the back and it is large enough. Maybe in winter, the sofa can be made into a sofa bed and can be triple. I could see Kashima spear from the room, but there are many trees 々 around, so there is no good view nearby. Also, it is near the jumping platform in the back of the Hakuba villa, so you can't go to the convenience store by walking. I didn't expect a meal because it was a cheap tour, but it was delicious enough. The restaurant was served by foreign staff, but it was a pleasant response.
We got the delux room in the main building. The space was divided nicely to accommodate 4 people and having the living area with seating was nice and spacious. The good: English speaking front desk that is open 24 hours, Dry room for gear, coffee/tea available in main lobby, microwave and coin laundry available downstairs. The front desk will readily assist with arranging a taxi or luggage transport service. The hotel was easily recognized by taxi drivers so there was never a need to provide directions. The so-so: Our room didn’t have enough outlets so we kept unplugging the floor lamps when the overhead lights were too dark on their own; price was too high compared to other accommodations; Some staff appear to be hired for their English speaking abilities and not trained on knowledge about all the things hotels are asked to arrange. Overall a pleasant experience but expensive for what you get.
PPhil PGreat location! Views of Happo One and so close to bus terminal, bars, restaurants and easy walking distance to Nakiyama lifts. Rooms on Level 3 were spacious for twin accom. Bathroom small but that’s typical in Japan. Hotel clean and comfortable, and staff helpful but not fluent in English. Bed was firm and comfortable. Room heater excellent and drying/storage room was adequate but not brilliant or large. Breakfast was good but not a buffet - served to your table (no choices) at appointed time so if you’re late, it’s cold! All up, I’d say the positives outweigh the negatives with this hotel. I’d stay here again, especially if only coming to Hakuba for a few days due to excellent location
