On arrival, my reservation could not be located. This was resolved after a 20 minute wait. Was awoken at 06.00 am by the occupiers of the next room who were screaming and cursing and the child was obviously in distress. I reported this to front desk who informed security. In check out, I spoke with security who confirmed they had done a walk round the floor and had not heard any noises. I subsequently spoke with the hotel manager to confirm the circumstances. I further reported to him that I had been charged for parking when my reservation had included this. I requested a refund of this due to my inconvenience and he agreed (but told me the refund wasn’t for my inconvenience as the noise issue was out of his control but rather because he was a nice guy!!)

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? One afternoon we wanted to head over to Universal City Walk. Unfortunately, this

Truly enjoyed our stay at SpringHill Suites. Before our day starts, the breakfast buffet had so much selection, the gym was clean and conducive for a quick workout, then the rooms were very clean and tidy everyday, which surprised us every time we came home at night after long days of excursions at the parks…

Double trees always a nice hotel to stay at and the free cookies and check in or whenever you ask are always a delightful treat. For this day we found that there was really nothing around the hotel itself as far as other restaurant choices although it’s very close to universal and they have a shuttle bus which was convenient, we ended up moving to a location nearby that had many more restaurants around, the rooms were clean the pool areas. Nice the restaurants food was good although a little pricey if you would like to use the pool areas, I think this could be an excellent choice.

We were in town for a wedding and decided to stay in a “Central location” this was at the south end of all the “I-Drive” action. Near trolly stop 23. We checked in and were greeted with smiles and friendly face everywhere! The hotel was very busy as we arrived at peak check-in time and it didn’t impact the mood of the staff one bit! Our room was very nice, beds were not the most comfortable I’ve ever had but they were very good. Plenty of outlets and a small refrigerator, we had a pool view room and it was great! We ate in the restaurants a few times during our stay, we enjoyed the variety of the menus and the food was delicious!! The Steakhouse was quite expensive but the pool menu and David’s Club were very reasonably priced and the shop had great quick service breakfast options (and late night options). David’s has the buffet with omelet station and carving station for breakfast and separate Lunch and Dinner menus. David’s advertised as “Burgers and Bourbon”…a nice bourbon selection, centered around a few varieties of Michters. Not much in the way of “allocated” bourbon but a nice selection of others. The pool bar was nice, plenty of wait staff around the pool and a few bartenders at the bar most of the day, a completely different menu than anything inside the hotel, a nice light menu for outdoor fare in central Florida. Hilton offered limited transportation to and from Universal and Sea World. It was available but not an all day thing, you need to make reservations for it and it only has a few morning options and a few evening return options, but it is available. They do offer a daily pass for the trolly that runs up and down International Drive, basically from one outlet mall to the next (North to South). They have a bunch of stops all up and down I-Drive. The Spa staff was friendly and the prices were very reasonable for a resort like this one, the housekeeping staff was courteous and friendly! Overall, this Hilton experience was among the best we have had, we are Hilton Honors members and this will be one that we DEFINITELY return to! 9.9/10!!

It's an official Universal Orlando hotel, so it's close to Universal and has very good access. The hotel was recently opened, so it was new and clean!
The hotel house is very large, so it's a little difficult to get to the room. I dropped off my luggage early in the morning, went through the reception, got my birthday badge and room key, and entered the park early.
I came back around 8pm and left at 5am the next morning, so I didn't really stay there (lol) I think the walls were a little thin because I could hear people in the hallway, but I only wanted to sleep so it wasn't a problem. !

The phone at the front desk of the hotel is almost always unanswered. The minibar in American hotels does not provide any beverages. They only provide coffee machines and mineral water. There are no saucers, small spoons, and the kitchen cabinets are empty. I feel that my family is so poor that there is no one. The tableware 😓, the safe checkin is locked, I made a phone call, and went to the front desk face to face, and no one came after staying for three days. The hotel service in the United States cannot be compared with that in China, and the restaurant is very good!

The room is tidy and the bed is very comfortable. The restaurant on the ninth floor is very good in Japanese cuisine, sushi and sashimi, and the ingredients are very fresh. The restaurant on the first floor is very stylish. I will definitely come again in the future.

I was a bit concerned with construction still going on in the hotel when booking, however it did NOT affect our stay, at all. Noise is very minor, pool is huge, so you are able to stay away from it PLUS you are also able to use the pool at the sister Ritz property which is a 5 minute walk. The construction is supposed to be finished in November 🤞 Now more details about the hotel overall: ROOMS Beautiful and freshly renovated. We had a balcony and it was nice to step out to it to enjoy beautiful view of the lakes and for a breath of fresh air HOUSEKEEPING Excellent. Meticulously clean, turndown service perfect, no questions :) One thing to make it even better would be to put slippers in the room - I am pretty sure we could get them upon request though. BREAKFAST Excellent selection, with fresh omelette, fresh squeezed juice station where you can make your own juice, pancakes prepared to order, variety of fruit - very good! Price: $25 for continental only, $35 for full selection. As Ambassador members we got Continental breakfast complimentary with an option to upgrade to full bar for $7. This is fine, but if I were the manager I would make it fully complimentary to people staying at Marriott properties for 100+ night per year … SPECIAL SHOUT OUT AND THANK YOU TO KARIMA who took excellent care of us and provided warm and personalized service during both days we visited Citron for breakfast. SPA/GYM Shared space with ritz carlton, beautiful; as part of your resort fee package you get to visit their classes - they have yoga, stretching etc. However keep in mind that those are only available on certain days of the week :) It would be nice to have some alternative for off days, I would love to go to one of the classes but both my days fell on off days unfortunately. You can also get bikes for 1 hour per day for free. SPA area has their own pool and hot tub which are basically empty because you need to have a spa appointment in order to use them. SHUTTLES TO DISNEY are available but you need to book them 24 hours in advance, we missed that part and had to Uber 😅 POOL SERVICE was pretty good across JW and Ritz, with plentiful chairs, towels and friendly staff to assist to your wishes :) GABRIEL at JW pool provided great service and was very nice - thank you Gabriel! Ttracey grangerWe were a family of 5: 2 adults 3 teens booked for 2 nights. We got to the hotel late, 10:30 pm, the check in line was long so check in was around 11. We booked and received a suite, 3 queen bed, 1 bathroom, pool view. The room was cute and generally clean with the exception of some liquid splatters on the walls here and there. A key had been provided for each person in our group for the free hour entry into the parks however we learned that you also have to use the card key to turn on the lights in the room. There either wasn’t a fan in the bathroom or it wasn’t working and though there were plenty of towels there were only 4 washcloths (original booking was for 6 individuals). We parked our rental in the parking garage and though it wasn’t terrible, it is a bit of a walk to the elevators. If you don’t want to go off site for food the food there was okay (at least during dinner time, don’t know what they served for lunch/breakfast) and honestly reasonable priced with a range number of options. But there are plenty of options in the surrounding area. Any beverages and snacks of course are higher in price. The buses to the park were clean with ride being 5-10 minutes and we never really had to wait coming and going from the park. They cleaned the room when we went to the park however again didn’t provide enough washcloths. I called front desk about it however had to end up hunting down house keeping about an hour later to get one and even that was almost not successful. Overall the stay was okay and I guess you can expect to feel safe as I was told by my husband that a female security guard followed him to our room after he asked for directions. But again everything was good until we got home and realized our personal keys that we kept in the middle console of the rental and had both our home and car keys on had been stolen. Security did claim to check the room we had checked out of with of course no success and then afterwards it took some time for them to truly understand the situation, after being placed on hold a couple of times and then transferred to I’m assuming their supervisor who at first sounded irritated I was then told that there are no cameras in the parking garage. They did take down my contact information and description of the keys but also indicated that having “over 8,000 visitors” at the hotel a day that it may take some time to know if the keys are ever found. So in other words don’t leave ANYTHING important in your vehicle.

GGuest UserIt was our 1st visit to Orlando, Florida and with deep research over Google and other websites, we opted for this property and it stood beyond expectations. It was our 1st Marriott Bonvoy stay and truly it took care of us as their own family. Check-in was smooth and we reached before time and they adjusted us immediately. As we booked a family suite with kitchen, the room has everything required although we carried utensil with us, which returned back as it is. Thank you. The stay was comfortable and we walked nearby places to explore too. Just in 500mtrs walk, we found supermarket for our needs. Also the property has inhouse pizza restaurant however you can order your own too online. The pool was well taken care off and kids loved it. The property has onsite barbecue options in case you wish to use it. The coffee is available 24/7 and you could fill water from the water station too. We didn't used the parking however it's available at addled fee (reasonable). The property is ideally located from all attractions and free shuttle service is available at scheduled times. We used it as well and the timing was prompt. The breakfast is complimentary and it takes care of the morning needs for almost everyone. Although we couldn't extend our stay as the property was fully occupied, we had to move out to other property after our checkout because our flight got cancelled due to Hurricane Ian. But no complaints , as they tried their best to check availability and felt sorry that they couldnt accommodate us. They also have onsite laundry (self service) and kids zone which was exceptional. Last moment we booked another Marriott property in Celebrations but there is a huge difference between both properties and there was no match to TownePlace by Marriott. We will.definitely recommend it to all we know who plan their trip to Orlando.

GGuest UserHotel was located between both universal and Disney . Free shuttle bus however the shuttle bus is very busy. Hotel breakfast very basic and disappointing. Not many options. Bedrooms are modern decorated however some issues . Bed bugs and ants had to ask to change sheets . They didn’t change and when I asked for room to be cleaned I kept being ignored until eventually had to get senior staff involved . Ant’s definitely a problem in the hotel . Liked that they offered free full size bathroom products this was useful . AC is at one temp and can not be controlled so can get very cold in the room and bedding is thin.

GGuest UserThis hotel is in an absolutely fantastic location for Universal Studios - that’s without a doubt the key selling point. It’s next door to a DoubleTree Hilton which charges a lot more but is directly next door so with the Best Western you can stay just as close but for less. I had a problem with the air conditioning kicking in and out all night and the buttons wouldn’t fix it. I rang and reported it to reception the next morning, and when I returned I asked at reception and the person manning the desk didn’t know anything about it. I was worried. However I shouldn’t have been as when I got to the room it had been fixed by maintenance and remained on (phew) for the rest of my stay. The cleaners were great and serviced my room every day, leaving it lovely and fresh for when I returned from the theme park. The overall state of the hotel is a bit tired but this shouldn’t put you off booking - a hotel this close to Universal should mean you spend most of each day at Universal! If you’re planning to spend more time in the hotel, and don’t just need a comfy bed to stop over, then this may not be the hotel for you. However if you’re looking for a good price and a great location this is for you for sure! Just to note, there is a free shuttle to Universal it leaves once in the morning and returns about 5.30 (check most up to date times with the hotel). It’s free but quite small. Not a problem as Best Western is the first stop but it does pick up from a Hampton as well, and gets quite crowded. All in all, I’d give this hotel a strong 4/5!

GGuest UserWe happened to come across the Residence Inn as our flights were delayed and we needed to find new accommodation as our previous hotel was at capacity. So I did book this quite quickly and frantically however im so glad I found this hotel.
If you are looking to stay some where that is less crowded and without a million kids running up and down hallways then this is a good choice.
There is also a lovely pool area with spa to hangout for the day and laze around.
The breakfast is simple yet satisfying with both hot and cold options and you can even make Mickey Mouse waffles.
The only couple of very teeny tiny negative comments (which not all at the fault of the hotel ) is
1) this is not an ideal area If you don’t have a car unless you like walking. You will not be able to simply walk out get a coffe and comeback unless you are willing to walk at least 20 mins and cross major roads ….However you can Uber eats food drinks alcohol etc for as little as $2.00 USD so you don’t even have to leave if you don’t want to.
2) our air-conditioner did not work so the room became really humid I didn’t bother saying anything because we opened the windows and the cool air helped cool the room down
I would definitely stay here again if I had a car or just wanted to have a place to chill and never leave the hotel 😊

DDesilianaThe hotel location is very recomended for you who want to go universal studio or go to the premium outlet. Dont forget you have to booked a bus to go the universal studio the day before, inside a hotel there is outlet for you to booked the bus. If you want to rent a car there also a rent car outlet inside the hotel. I go to premium outlet , walk to 10 min only. If using uber it cost you about CAD 9. I just dont like the room hotel floor all using carpet. Thanks

GGuest UserMuch better than 1st time. Hotel is under remodel.. They just finished their pool and it looks great.. They're working on the roof. The rooms still need some work. But they are coming a long way. Price is right. There is a deposit which is I believe $50. You do get it back and roughly about 7 to 10 days depending on your credit card. It is not pet friendly unless you have a service dog. Hotel is right before the Orlando health Doctor Phillips. Rooms come with a microwave and a Mini refrigerator. They do serve a breakfast that you must eat out front. You cannot take it back to your room. All their handicapped rooms or on the 1st floor.

GGuest UserIt was an okay stay I rate it 3 stars because most of the place was not nice looking. Door had a chunk missing and the walls where broken and badly painted.
