The hotel is not in the city centre, but that's why we choose it ..... for the tranquility and the quite environment.
The establishment is impeccable, we pay around HK$8xx, and have to admit this is very good value (even considering not much facilities).
The restaurant team are awesome, very attentive, eagar to assist in a warm and welcoming manner. We went for breadfast daily, and from the second day, they remember our breakfast drink!
The spa, much room for improvement...... considering the price, really would not expect ”smelly” bath robe (the price is around 2 to 3 times the price one pay at a spa parlour locally).
During my stay, the hotel is under a planned renovation construction (we were told) - work is going on even over the weekends, that was very unfortunate. Especially we are looking for a quite hotel! I really think they should state at the booking portal and let people know!
The most disappointing part is, the reception team were recommending car service to us (for our return trip to Danang). The original price quote was US$92. We booked.
On the departure day, we were asked to pay, the bill was shown in VND (local currency) and I noticed there are service charge and tax applied. So I ask if the US$92 included the service charge and tax. The reception gentleman was slight agitated and say something like ”every body knows service charge and tax are applied to bills in Vietnam”.
We were then checking the bill and tried to figure out if the US$92 were inclusive of the service charge and tax. While we were doing that, the reception gentleman told us, yes, the US$92 were already including the the service charge and tax. We were a bit itimidated then, and not wanting to further ruin our holiday mood, so we paid and leave.
The car trip was very pleasant and the driver was very polite and attentive.
When we are home, we check the bill again, and find out, we paid around US$112 for the trip. (ie, the originally quote price US$92 is not inclusive of service and tax. More so, the reception gentleman that explained the price to us, was either uncompetent or dishonest!

Guest UserThe hotel is relatively new and well maintained. The only thing that I didn't like was the shower is not instant heat water heater. So you need to wait for the hot water and there's limited supply of hot water. Others are all very good. Breakfast is beyond my expectations for a small hotel, with diversified food choice. The staff are very helpful. They have drivers and cars that you can book. The driver is very friendly and speaks some English. We used the da nang to hue transfer and a day tour in Hue with airport drop off. Was very pleasent experience with the driver. The view on the terrace is also very good.

JenPI was treated like royalty from the moment I arrived for my 4 night stay. Requested a much earlier check in with no problem & no extra cost. Was offered a free upgrade to an incredible much larger apartment with a balcony overlooking the lagoon. Very comfortable bed & pillows.
The housekeeping staff cleaned every day & left fresh water & fruit. The breakfast selection is huge with an 'egg station' to have your eggs cooked just how you like. I ordered dinner to my room in the evening & the food & service was impeccable. The free Yoga & Tai Chi Classes are an extra bonus & I got the chance to kayak on the Lagoon for 2 hours which is also free. If I needed help with anything I just had to message & was replied to immediately. I also requested a later check out & that was done with no problem. The staff here are absolutely wonderful, if only all hotel staff were like this!
The only flaw at the Resort is the Bird Room. I didn't know birds would be in cages & unable to fly properly. This was upsetting & I can imagine may put some people off from booking. It doesn't make sense to cage birds when you are surrounded by them at the Resort. Apart from that aspect I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay & thank everyone who made it such a memorable experience.

Oksana_travelI stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is very good, and I can recommend it, but there are issues with the cleaning:
1) Broken vacuum cleaners that spread more dust than they pick up.
2) The cleaning staff bang vacuum cleaners against walls and glass.
3) Managers checking rooms after cleaning repeatedly slam doors, even though they can be closed silently. From inside the room, you can lower the door handle, and from the outside, you can tap your card. Alternatively, they could leave the door ajar if they're going in and out for checks.
Take those old, broken vacuum cleaners away from the cleaning staff! I've seen negative reviews mentioning dusty rooms. That's because the cleaning staff are simultaneously vacuuming with broken machines and scattering dust from them all over the room and corridor.
On the 20th floor, a vacuum cleaner had a broken lid latch. They've nailed it shut and secured the lid with an elastic band. When they lift the vacuum to move it, dust spills out because it's not in a bag, but just loose inside the vacuum. The vacuum cleaners themselves are also all dirty.
After the cleaning staff saw me photographing the vacuum cleaner, a young man brought another, non-broken vacuum and thoroughly vacuumed in front of me, including the seams. Before that, the female cleaner was vacuuming poorly, as if she didn't know how to use a vacuum – when you move the vacuum wand, the brush should be parallel to the floor, not at an angle.
However, both the female and male staff don't control the vacuum nozzle and hit it against walls and glass. I heard these loud banging noises every day for hours in the morning when the cleaning staff were cleaning on other floors above or below. And they start cleaning at 8-9 AM. Some guests might still be sleeping.
Behind the nightstand between the bed and the bathroom in my room (2004), there were candy wrappers and a lot of dust. I had to move the nightstand myself and ask for it to be vacuumed. In principle, it could be vacuumed without moving it, just by removing the large attachment, but the nightstand itself was very dusty on the back because it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Meanwhile, the other nightstand wasn't as dusty. Other corners were dusty because the cleaners either don't vacuum or don't remove the large attachment, which makes it impossible to vacuum corners.
I also found someone else's reading glasses with red and blue frames under the bed. The cleaning staff should thoroughly check the room to ensure guests haven't left anything behind. Surely the person was looking for their glasses.
Overall, the room itself was very clean; the only issues with the cleaning staff were regarding vacuum usage and dusting in the corners.

Virginia Lio🌿 A peaceful and unforgettable stay at Pilgrimage Village
I stayed here during my solo trip to Hue and this was by far my favorite hotel in Vietnam. The resort is quiet, spacious, and beautifully designed — a true retreat from the busy world.
The staff were warm and professional, especially Ngoc Ha, the manager, who handled everything with great care and flexibility. I felt truly welcomed.
My room was cozy and comfortable, and the swimming pool was absolutely relaxing. I enjoyed their “buy 2 get 1 free” cocktail offer while sitting by the pool — such a peaceful moment to just unwind.
Dinner was delicious with options for buffet or à la carte, and the restaurant team was very kind and attentive, which made me feel safe and cared for as a solo traveler.
Breakfast had many choices, including authentic Vietnamese drip coffee, which was a nice touch. The resort also has great facilities and feels like amazing value for what it offers.
And don’t miss their spa! I booked a 2.5-hour session and left completely refreshed. Quiet, clean, and very professionally done.
I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I visit Hue.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, comfort, and great service.

A haven for my soul !!!
I accidentally discovered Va Riverside Retreat, and it turned out to be a hidden haven along the peaceful Huong River. The scenery here is simply serene—watching the golden sunset reflected on the water and waking up to the sound of birds at dawn felt like stepping into another world. Besides relaxing in the refreshing pool, I also had the chance to try paddle boarding on the river. One of the most unique moments was listening to the mystical melodies of the Hầu Đồng ceremonies drifting across from Hon Chen Temple—a truly authentic touch of Vietnamese culture. The local breakfast was delicious, simple yet full of flavor, and made the mornings even more memorable. What stood out the most was the staff—they welcomed me like family, making me feel at home even though I was far away from mine.
If you’re looking for more than just a stay, but an experience that touches both your senses and soul, I highly recommend coming here. Discover it as I did, and perhaps you’ll enjoy it even more than I did.

Guest UserOur stay here in Hue was honestly fantastic, starting with the unbeatable location - you step outside and literally everything you need is right around the corner. The room itself was a major highlight. We absolutely loved the panoramic windows, and the blackout curtains were top-notch, letting us actually sleep in without the morning sun waking us up. The level of cleanliness was impeccable across the board.
The bed and pillows were decent and comfortable enough, but I do have one practical suggestion for the management: they really need to switch to proper fitted sheets. Using flat bottom sheets that constantly pull up and bunch together during the night is just annoying and takes away from the otherwise premium feel of the room.
The breakfast was a total win. The buffet is gorgeous, offering a massive and incredibly diverse spread of delicious options to kick off the day.
The only real curveball was the check-in experience. Instead of a warm, welcoming vibe, the front desk staff immediately hit us with a rigid list of ”rules and don'ts” in a surprisingly abrasive and almost rude tone. It definitely lacked that essential hospitality touch. Management really needs to coach their team on their delivery and customer service etiquette. But honestly, aside from that initial weird interaction, we had absolutely zero complaints. It’s a beautifully clean, well-located spot with a killer breakfast.

Guest UserThis was my first time staying at a Banyan Tree property and my first trip to Vietnam, so I was excited yet a little nervous. The experience turned out to be unexpectedly amazing, truly exceeding all my expectations. While this hotel isn't brand new, all the furniture and bathroom fixtures are impeccably maintained. Compared to other brand hotels I've stayed at recently, like the Westin in Phuket or even the Dusit Thani in the Maldives, Banyan Tree's brand standards are consistently stable and thorough. They offer twice-daily housekeeping, daily small gifts, and snacks, and on the last day, a bubble bath and romantic setup for two – all delightful surprises. Since our villa was on top of the hill, the buggy service was always prompt. Every staff member offered genuine, smiling service, incredibly patient, and even with limited English, there was none of that typical 'customer service' fake smile you often see in the hospitality industry. The spa truly deserves a special mention; I tried both the Banyan Tree and Angsana sister hotels' spas. The techniques were professional, the therapists put in great effort, and it was excellent value for money. I visited the spa four times during my seven-night, eight-day stay and still wanted more. Words can't express how highly I recommend it. I'm actually a very picky person, and a germaphobe, and over the past two decades, I've stayed at various five-star island resorts across several continents. This time, I'm truly grateful because it was a last-minute decision – I only booked and paid in September. After the trip, my initial apprehension turned into gratitude and satisfaction. I must say, Banyan Tree has won me over. I hope to try their properties in China this year.

Guest UserThis hotel is perfect for anyone looking to escape the city bustle. It's a 40-minute drive from Da Nang Airport, far from any towns, so everything you need is right on the property. The hotel isn't new, and some of the room features could use an update. However, the stunning natural views and its secluded location in a beautiful spot are a major plus for those who need to unwind. The grounds are expansive, extending from Angsana into Banyan Tree. The beach is exclusive to hotel guests, and there are plenty of sun loungers. In late June, the sea was very warm, sometimes even extremely so. I was quite surprised to see a lifeguard constantly on duty at the shore. There's also a large, comfortable lazy river pool, where the water is also very warm during the day. All sorts of entertainment are available. We went beach fishing with our child, made kites, and participated in an interesting hotel activity: bird watching. Breakfast isn't entirely geared towards Europeans, more for Vietnamese tastes, but you can always find something to eat, especially since the staff are incredibly responsive and attentive. Dinner and lunch are also available on-site. I enjoyed the beach restaurant, and the Italian restaurant's cuisine was particularly delightful and pleasing. The average price per person for dinner is 3000 rubles (dishes aren't cheap, but they are delicious). I'm especially grateful to Georgiy, the Russian-speaking manager. He helped with everything, big and small. He's very responsive and always ready to assist, even on his days off. His competence and attentiveness were truly impressive.

Had huge expectations from the hotel after reading reviews. The hospitality was fabulous ! The breakfast was excellent as well. Its very convenient as there are many shops and walking street nearby. However , the nightmare begins at night as there is a CLUB very close to the hotel. The music is so loud until 3am and barely could sleep. The noise from the traffic is loud. Choose a room without river view.
