The hotel is not in the city centre, but that's why we choose it ..... for the tranquility and the quite environment.
The establishment is impeccable, we pay around HK$8xx, and have to admit this is very good value (even considering not much facilities).
The restaurant team are awesome, very attentive, eagar to assist in a warm and welcoming manner. We went for breadfast daily, and from the second day, they remember our breakfast drink!
The spa, much room for improvement...... considering the price, really would not expect ”smelly” bath robe (the price is around 2 to 3 times the price one pay at a spa parlour locally).
During my stay, the hotel is under a planned renovation construction (we were told) - work is going on even over the weekends, that was very unfortunate. Especially we are looking for a quite hotel! I really think they should state at the booking portal and let people know!
The most disappointing part is, the reception team were recommending car service to us (for our return trip to Danang). The original price quote was US$92. We booked.
On the departure day, we were asked to pay, the bill was shown in VND (local currency) and I noticed there are service charge and tax applied. So I ask if the US$92 included the service charge and tax. The reception gentleman was slight agitated and say something like ”every body knows service charge and tax are applied to bills in Vietnam”.
We were then checking the bill and tried to figure out if the US$92 were inclusive of the service charge and tax. While we were doing that, the reception gentleman told us, yes, the US$92 were already including the the service charge and tax. We were a bit itimidated then, and not wanting to further ruin our holiday mood, so we paid and leave.
The car trip was very pleasant and the driver was very polite and attentive.
When we are home, we check the bill again, and find out, we paid around US$112 for the trip. (ie, the originally quote price US$92 is not inclusive of service and tax. More so, the reception gentleman that explained the price to us, was either uncompetent or dishonest!

Guest UserThe hotel is relatively new and well maintained. The only thing that I didn't like was the shower is not instant heat water heater. So you need to wait for the hot water and there's limited supply of hot water. Others are all very good. Breakfast is beyond my expectations for a small hotel, with diversified food choice. The staff are very helpful. They have drivers and cars that you can book. The driver is very friendly and speaks some English. We used the da nang to hue transfer and a day tour in Hue with airport drop off. Was very pleasent experience with the driver. The view on the terrace is also very good.

Guest UserThis is an older hotel with a lot of character, set amidst beautiful gardens. Rooms are very clean and spacious. The service is extremely attentive. It boasts three swimming pools with very clean water. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with lush tropical plants.
Breakfast is excellent, offering a wide variety of choices, with the fruit selection being particularly diverse and delicious.
However, there's one significant drawback: the room we were assigned this time backed onto a chicken coop. Roosters crowing late at night and in the early hours significantly disrupted our sleep. Additionally, the room's proximity to the main road at the back meant loud and startling truck horns at night. If you're fortunate enough to avoid rooms in these specific areas, you'll likely have a very enjoyable stay at this resort. However, if you're unlucky and get assigned to such a room, it will definitely impact your sleep.

Xiaoyi JiangI travel a lot last year and although most of them are business, I think fair to say I have stayed in lots of hotels. And I am more than happy to say Vedana is the best hotel I ever stayed.
Clean, peaceful, good food, crazy night view, these are the ”normal” things you can read online. I want to specifically call out their service.
I am a solo traveller and I was on motorbike trip between Da Nang and Hue. On my final day of the trip, I suppose to ride from Vedana to Da Nang but the rain was crazy and no sign of stopping at all. The hotel staff helped me out not only ordering a lalamove (to deliver me and my bike to rental shop in the most cost efficient way), also help me negotiate with the van driver for a much better price. In the end, I only paid very very minimum to get my motorbike returned and myself arrive at airport in time.
It is just incredible that how much they will help you.

YanyunThe value for money isn't great, and while breakfast was okay, the room's soundproofing was terrible. The two most annoying things were: 1. To visit the Imperial City, I had to check out early. I couldn't even get a 30-minute late checkout; the male front desk staff said I'd be charged a late fee if I checked out at 12:01, and his attitude was very poor. 2. There was a very friendly girl at the front desk who spoke Chinese, suggesting many Chinese tourists, but surprisingly, among all the national flags on the lobby's background wall, displayed like the UN, the Chinese flag was conspicuously missing. I wonder what grudge the hotel has against China; I don't believe it was an oversight. In any case, I will absolutely never stay at a hotel under this brand again. I've lived abroad for over a decade, and while I'm not overly sensitive politically, certain principles must be upheld.

ChococaI stayed for 3 nights. The hotel was within walking distance of the Imperial City and the night market area, but it was so hot that I ended up using Grab for most of my transportation.
The street in front of the hotel wasn't as lively as the backpacker district, but on weekends, it became a pedestrian-only street with lovely lights. Because of this, there was karaoke every night, which I could hear from my room.
The hotel itself is a bit older, but it was very clean. The room and bed were spacious, making for a comfortable stay.
The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fruits and vegetables, making it very healthy. The mangoes, in particular, were delicious and gave a great taste of Vietnam. The live kitchen had an egg station and a noodle bar. There was also a good variety of breads, catering to different international tastes, which was a nice touch.
The staff were all very kind, greeting me with a smiling 'Xin chào!' every time I passed them. Thanks to them, my impression of Hue was very positive.

Guest UserHaving stayed at a Banyan Tree resort in the past, I had high expectations of this resort and I have to say, it did not disappoint me in one bit. Firstly, I have to mention the exceptional service. There is not a single thing the staff are not prepared to do in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Being a Muslim traveller, we had some concerns regarding the halal aspect of the menu. But I'm glad to say that the chefs understood the requirements and accommodated us flawlessly. We stayed in the pool beach villa for my daughter's 27th birthday, we booked two side by side. The villa itself was sensational. Getting up in the morning, walking on your own patio to your private pool, a stone throw away from the sandy beach, it's literally heaven on earth. Again, I will go back to the service levels because this is what truly makes Banyan Tree the special brand that it is. Thank you so much for your hospitality and your caring. Special mention to Nhi, Hung and Tan for making it extra special.
The only downside is that it's slightly off the beaten track. A night out in Danang is a 2 hour round trip. But we spent the first 5 days of our holiday doing all the exploring and Banyan Tree Lang Co was the perfect wind down before heading home.
I highly recommend anyone looking for a luxury escape in Vietnam, pick this place!

Rdht605Excellent location and venue, albeit a thorough renovation might be timely. Still, an absolutely wonderful scenery and place! The service is top notch, no request they cannot solve quickly and with such kindness. The food is also very good. Very highly recommended for a serene, recharging stay!

When we got there, we welcomed so warmly by Han on the receptionist, a very good man who packed our breakfast the next morning because our flight was leaving so early. The staff was really welcoming, the rooms are clean, the pool is amazing and the food was great.

Had huge expectations from the hotel after reading reviews. The hospitality was fabulous ! The breakfast was excellent as well. Its very convenient as there are many shops and walking street nearby. However , the nightmare begins at night as there is a CLUB very close to the hotel. The music is so loud until 3am and barely could sleep. The noise from the traffic is loud. Choose a room without river view.
