This was a truly satisfying stay, and I was extremely pleased with the overall experience. The guesthouse boasts a fantastic design with a strong ******* aesthetic. The check-in lobby is grand and spacious, equipped with both an elevator and stairs for convenience. A huge thanks to the owner for upgrading our room – it was a wonderful surprise! There aren't many rooms on each floor, so we didn't have to worry about being disturbed. The room itself was incredibly spacious and impeccably clean, creating a very pleasant environment. It featured a smart home system with oxygen supply, and even a humidifier, covering all daily necessities. The comfort level was very high, and the comforter was thick and clean, keeping us warm. The large indoor windows and the balcony offered excellent views. Being away from the snack street also ensured a very quiet atmosphere. The owners were exceptionally kind and friendly. They provided complimentary pick-up and drop-off from the bus station, and also drove us for meals, stargazing, and to see the 'sunlit golden mountain.' Any issues could be resolved by simply going to the front desk or giving them a call – they were incredibly helpful. It was a fantastic living experience. Although we didn't get to see the 'sunlit golden mountain' this time, which was a bit of a shame, travel always has its little imperfections. I'll definitely book here again on my next visit to Meili. Finally, I wish the owners and their family great success and prosperity in their business!

Booking this hidden gem of a guesthouse was the best decision of my entire trip! The overall experience far exceeded my expectations and completely changed my perception of guesthouse stays. I absolutely have to write a detailed, heartfelt review to recommend it to everyone. I was initially drawn in by the beautiful online photos, but arriving in person, I found the real place to be even more stunning. The overall decor is elegant and cozy, with a fantastic sense of design. The common areas are adorned with plants, tea seating, and cozy nooks, creating an incredible ambiance. Every corner is picture-perfect, and the fatigue from traveling simply vanished the moment I walked in. What truly impressed me was the meticulous cleanliness. The entire place was spotless, the floors gleaming. The bedding was brand-new, made of pure cotton – soft, fluffy, and with a faint, pleasant scent, making it incredibly relaxing to lie down on. The bathroom featured a dry/wet separation, completely odorless. Toiletries, disposable slippers, and towels were all provided. Even the nooks, crannies, and edges of the vanity were wiped clean. It's clear the owner has extremely high standards for cleanliness, which made my stay feel incredibly safe and reassuring. The room amenities were comprehensive. Air conditioning and hot water were available and plentiful 24/7. The mattress and pillows were just the right firmness. The blackout curtains provided excellent light sealing, ensuring a quiet environment at night with no disruptive noise. Even as a light sleeper, I slept soundly until morning. Small details like audio-visual equipment, charging points, and storage were all thoughtfully provided – everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. The service from the owner and staff was impeccable. Before check-in, they proactively sent precise location details, parking tips, and tour routes. They even thoughtfully recommended local, lesser-known eateries and photo spots. Upon arrival, they enthusiastically helped with luggage, and the check-in process was quick and efficient. They were always available to answer questions, responded to messages promptly and patiently, and promptly addressed any minor issues that arose, never giving a perfunctory impression. It felt like interacting with friendly neighbors. The guesthouse boasts an excellent location, making it convenient for getting around. Dining and transportation options nearby are abundant. It's a quiet oasis amidst the bustling area, balancing convenience with tranquility. Compared to chain hotels, this place offers a warmth and human touch, without the cold commercial feel, and the value for money is outstanding. I've already saved it and added it to my 'revisit' list. I will definitely choose it again for future trips to this area. I sincerely recommend it to all travelers – you can book with your eyes closed, you won't regret it. A perfect score is truly deserved.

Facilities: all facilities are very new, very easy to use, related supplies are all available, too convenient; all kinds of disposable supplies, very safe to use; Hygienic: The room is very clean, refreshing and comfortable; Service: The boss is warm and thoughtful, easy to communicate and get along with; The location of the hotel is particularly convenient, very close to the passenger terminal and very close to the observation deck. This hotel is very good 👍 recommended! I will go to Feilai Temple in the future and will continue to book this one! By the way, the canteen opened along the side of Feilai Temple is slightly more expensive. There is a supermarket that is about 50 meters away in a small alley. It is much cheaper. For example, the water sold for 3 yuan along the street is 2 yuan in the alley.

They say you might not see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” in October, so I booked this place to avoid wasting money on a view that might not deliver. Turns out, we actually saw it! Super worth it!! The location is right next to where the bus drops you off, so it's a very easy walk, and close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the underfloor heating worked perfectly. There are only four or five rooms, and the view is absolutely stunning. The owner is very simple and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this for anyone hoping to catch the Golden Mountain but worried about a wasted 4-hour drive if they miss it. The accommodation quality is easily more than triple that of other scenic hotels at the same price point, and the courtyard itself can help ease any disappointment if you don't see the sunrise. Let's talk about the downsides: 1. Feilai Temple is currently under construction, so there are large vehicles at night. I personally wasn't bothered by the noise, but I can't guarantee others wouldn't be. This seems to be a common issue for hotels along this road. 2. The room was very clean and tidy, but I wasn't a fan of the air freshener scent. My partner didn't notice it, though. 3. There were some really large flies. I hope the owner can improve pest control. Although they'll probably freeze to death in a few days, seeing them definitely puts a damper on the mood.

We stayed here for three nights whilst exploring upper Yubeng and doing some of the hikes. The location is great with some good panoramic views of the mountains. Sunset and sunrise are both amazing from here! The service was good, friendly staff and kind people. The room is fine! We had a heater which helped a lot for the cold nights. We didn't like the disposable towels, such a waste! Also the room wasn't cleaned once in our three nights and we had to keep asking for toilet paper/towels ourselves. Apart from that everything was fine. Good vegetarian food too:)

I genuinely think this is the best value-for-money hotel in Feilai Temple! Absolutely worth it! The room was small but had everything I needed. I booked it last minute after deciding to arrive a day earlier. It was very warm, clean, and the facilities were new. The service was also excellent; both the front desk and the owner were very polite. I would have extended my stay if they weren't fully booked today.

I’m sharing my honest feedback in the hope the owners find this useful and can use this to improve. I am coming with good intentions and wish the owners the best! If you are just looking for somewhere to lay your head after a long day of hiking and are a good sleeper, this place will suit you fine. The beds are large and comfortable. The bed heater comes in very handy and the showers are hot. The wifi signal is good. The dogs and cats are cute. With regards to where to improve, my suggestions below: 1. It is quite hard to find the place - the name is slightly different on Amap compared to Trip.com and as it’s a small village the roads don’t exactly match up with the map. Some signage would really help as other hotels have done. When you’ve been hiking for 5 hours and are tired you need some clear direction! 2. The owners have quite a relaxed and casual attitude to hospitality and I think they could do more to make you feel welcome. It is more of a homestay than a hotel - the common area doubles as the owners living space, and while the owners go about their day (eating, playing on phone, de-fleaing their cats) it can on occasion feel like you are intruding upon their space. A little hospitality would go a long way - a smile or acknowledgment when you enter the room, the offer of a hot drink on arrival or a warm welcome after your long hike to the village for example. 3. I think the above is especially true for foreign guests- I can speak and read some Mandarin so was able to get by, but it would be difficult if you had no understanding of the language and the hosts are not particularly forthcoming with help or information. This stands out as everywhere else we have been in China hosts have been so hospitable and willing to help - translation apps are so useful here. Just a simple one pager of what you offer, the menu, kitchen hours etc translated into English is my suggestion! 4. There is absolutely no soundproofing in the room. You can hear every footstep, whisper and noise from the adjoining rooms - if you are a light sleeper you will wake up. I would really recommend that this is addressed for guests’ peace! 5. Install one non-squat toilet in the shared bathroom area, so guests who aren’t used to these can use another type of toilet! Unfortunately, there is still quite a bit of construction going on around but there’s nothing that the hosts can do about that - it is everywhere in the village. We weren’t lucky enough to experience good weather while we were there but I have no doubt the views would have been incredible!

The biggest pleasant surprise of my Yubeng trip was definitely this guesthouse. Opening the window revealed a breathtaking vista of snow-capped mountains and pristine forests; when shrouded in mist, it felt like a fairyland. Waking up to that view each morning was truly healing – the scenery is so stunning it left me speechless! What made it even better was the warm service, especially from the front desk staff. They were incredibly enthusiastic and attentive throughout, patiently helping us plan our hiking routes, reminding us of important precautions, and even proactively drying our soaking wet hiking shoes after our treks. The attention to detail showed so much warmth. Staying here offers both the tranquil beauty of nature and the thoughtful care of family. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Yubeng!

The location is fantastic, super easy to get around, and there are plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby. The place itself is spotless, and the common areas have a relaxed and comfortable vibe. The beds are clean and odor-free, and the washing facilities are comprehensive. The owner is incredibly warm and friendly, and the service is excellent. This place offers amazing value for money. It's my top choice for accommodation when traveling, and I'll definitely be back!

The hotel is right next to the bus station from ShangriLa. This is very convenient. Remember on the way return to ShangriLa. You can ask a bus driver if the bus to ShangriLa or not because the bus stops here for passengers and they will drive down the mountains to Deqin bus station in.
