Overall, it was a great stay. The hotel thoughtfully provided tips for altitude sickness in the room and prepared items and facilities to combat it, such as Coke, oxygen packs, and an oxygen supply system. The decor leans towards a Wabi-sabi style, and the buckwheat pillows were very comfortable to sleep on. You can watch the 'golden sun illuminating the mountain' from the 4th floor. Service: After booking this time, the hotel offered a ******* costume photoshoot experience. ******* clothes and headwear were available in the hotel lobby. After the shoot, we received 3 free original photos. This was a collaboration with NICO Travel Photography. The photographer was very professional 📷, snapped great shots 👍, was excellent at composition and finding the right light, and even guided our poses. We got the photos quickly, and then back at the hotel, a dedicated staff member helped us choose the best ones. The entire process was very pleasant, and we got some amazing 'life photos' – fantastic!

Fantastic, fabulous, and fascinating! This homestay in Benzilan is pure magic! The location is serene, the accommodation spotless, and the people—simply outstanding. The hosts treat you like family, always smiling and going the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. Honestly, leaving this place is the hardest part! It’s hands down my best stay in Yunnan. If you’re heading to Deqin for Meili Snow Mountain, this is a must-stay. Highly recommended!

Our night in Benzilan was made absolutely perfect thanks to the Xilin Yuan Nada Mountain Inn. We arrived in the evening, driving up the mountain road, and the further we went, the more tranquil it became. The inn's courtyard is beautifully maintained, and the room windows offer stunning views of the continuous mountain range, making you feel as though the entire world has quieted down. The owner is incredibly kind. Not only did he recommend some local delicacies, but he also offered to wash our clothes for us. This kind of thoughtful service truly makes you feel so welcome and warm. This is an inn that makes you want to return. Next time I'm in Benzilan, I'll definitely stay here again!

I booked the Yunshu, room F02, and I highly recommend this room type. The location is absolutely perfect, right above the Meili road sign. Personally, I think the view of the snow-capped mountains from the room is even better than from the Feilai Temple viewing platform downstairs. The floor-to-ceiling window next to the sofa in the room directly faces the Shennü Peak, and you can also see Kawagebo, though unfortunately, the weather wasn't good on the day I was there, so I missed out on that. The room also provides a tripod, which you can set up on the balcony for photos. The afternoon tea was also great; I absolutely loved the sour tamarind iced Americano. We also had dinner on the first floor (basement), and the food was delicious with generous portions. The staff were all very friendly and even gave us a special souvenir, a cute little cup, when we left. It's a shame we didn't get to see the 'golden mountains in the sun' due to the weather. I chose Snow Mountain Awakens Hotel this time, fulfilling my dream of ”lying down and watching the snow-capped mountains”! The huge floor-to-ceiling windows framed the snow-capped mountains like a painting. In the morning, I didn't have to jostle with crowds at the observation deck; I just opened my eyes and drew the curtains to witness the breathtaking moment of the golden sun illuminating the peaks. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't perfect, but the intermittently visible Meili Snow Mountain still left me speechless. 🛋️ As someone concerned about altitude sickness, the room was equipped with diffused oxygen and underfloor heating throughout, ensuring a very peaceful night's sleep without any of the usual discomfort at high altitudes. The smart room control system was also very convenient, and the full set of Bvlgari toiletries showed real thoughtfulness. 🥘 We had dinner directly at the hotel restaurant, and you really *have* to try their stir-fried yak meat!!! The meat was tender, every dish was incredibly generous in portion, and the restaurant also offered direct views of Meili Snow Mountain. 🎇 The hotel's special activities were also full of ritual. There's a fireworks show every night at 7:50 PM, followed by a documentary on Meili at 9:00 PM, offering an immersive understanding of the stories of the sacred mountains of Tibet. In the morning at 9:30 AM, there's a morning Sang offering, where a mixture of cypress branches, barley, tsampa, and other fragrant ingredients are burned, with the pure smoke offered to the deities to convey gratitude, purification, and prayers.

Cozy place with a warm hospitality. Sharing this for the benefit for other guests; However, do note that currently, the road up to yubeng village is undergoing maintenance hence we'd need to hike a brutal 16km up from ninong carpark. The distance from lower yubeng to upper yubeng is another 2.3km uphill. Fortunately, there are pick up cars which can pick you up from rest stop 2 to upper yubeng (which i've only found out from one of the kind staff when i arrived), which means you can take a pick up truck down to rest stop 2 if you would like to conserve energy for other hikes at the yubeng village. Please feel free to enquire with the friendly staff! Breakfast variety could also be improved instead of only 米线... Would be good if coffee could be served for breakfast too...

A truly satisfying stay with warm service throughout. Upon check-in, we were thoughtfully brought hot milk and a basket of snacks, which was a lovely touch. The location is superb; our 180-degree view room offered stunning views of Meili Snow Mountain as soon as we opened the curtains. The butler was incredibly responsive, answering all our questions and providing a satisfactory solution even when we just casually mentioned a minor dining issue. I hope the hotel continues to thrive. (However, I'd still recommend avoiding having full meals at the hotel. The chef seems to enjoy being creative, and our menu—sweet and sour chicken, sesame oil, ginger, tomato, and egg soup, zucchini with sliced pork, and garlic oil lettuce—was so much that five of us couldn't finish it.)

I had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect—just about 20 minutes from the busy town center, which makes it wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Every morning, I woke up to an amazing mountain view that instantly set the tone for a relaxing day. The property itself is stunning, especially the vineyard, which adds so much charm. I loved the free wine tasting sessions, and the hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly made the experience feel personal. The food was excellent, with every meal prepared thoughtfully and bursting with flavor. For those who love a bit of adventure, the ATV facilities are a fantastic addition. We also enjoyed grape plucking right in the vineyard—such a unique and fun activity! Overall, this place is a perfect blend of tranquility, great service, and memorable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with a touch of adventure. One small issue I had was that the air-conditioner was blowing warm air, but after I informed the team, they fixed it within a short time. Great service and quick response — really appreciated it!

I stayed here for 2 nights and had an amazing experience. The room provides a great view of the mountains with floor to ceiling windows and everything in the room, including the bed, chairs, clothes rack and bathroom, are well-maintained and clean. The room provides a sense of luxury and cleanliness during your getaway to this village. The location is excellent, as you are one of the first, if not the first accommodation facing the mountains, so the view is excellent. It is in a great location for exploring upper yubeng and the glacier lake. What made our stay unforgettable was the amazing service we received by the owner and staff whilst we stayed here. The lady provided us with everything we needed to know during our stay in yubeng, including sunrise times, and answered any and every question we had about yubeng as a whole. They provided an atmosphere that was very welcoming and it really does feel like I was invited to stay at their home. They provided free water and free laundry service, as well as free use of hiking poles for our hikes. The breakfast included was excellent and was different for each day we stayed, and they provide you with a free lunch pack to take on your hike, which was a nice gesture which we appreciated. Additionally, everyone here speaks both mandarin and cantonese, so if you're travelling from Guangdong or Hong Kong and would like to feel at home, this is the perfect place to be. Overall, this was an amazing accommodation to stay at due to the amazing service, location and facilities and the owner and her family really do treat you like family. I would highly recommend staying here, and if I ever come back to yubeng, I will definitely stay here again!

Right in the middle of Upper Yubeng Village, the location is fantastic for easy access to the lakeside and the Nish Line. They serve all three meals, which are super delicious and generously portioned. The staff are incredibly warm and helpful, and most importantly, it offers amazing value for money. Trust me, you can't go wrong choosing this place! 👍
