2-Star Hotels in Otaru

I really love this winkel village! It's just a short walk to Asarigawaonsen Ski Resort for skiing. We can enjoy BBQs even in winter and the private outdoor onsen right outside the room is a huge bonus for my family. Definitely planning to return! Great value for the money. Note: We took a taxi from Otaru Station to Winkel Village and it cost around 5,000 yen. The price was reasonable too.

Stayed at Sho Inn for 1 night in Otaru. It’s a little out of the way from the Otaru station if you do not drive, but they offer shuttle service to the Otaru Canal and Otaru station when you check out! The host Hideshi was incredibly kind, even going the extra mile to bring my neck pillow, which I had accidentally left in the accommodation after check out, to the Otaru station at my preferred time that evening. It was a gesture testament of the great hospitality of the Japanese. Would definitely recommend this place especially if you’re a solo traveller / prefer your own private space instead of going to those hostels with double deckered beds and curtains!

The address of the Youth Hostel is quite good. JR Station walks to the canal for about 5-10 minutes. It is also quite close to the canal. Welcome drinks are also sent. I will choose this Youth Hostel next time.

家族旅行、夫婦と成人した息子娘の4人でお世話になりました。 小樽の隠れ家、ネーミングにふさわしい場所で、我が家はレンタカーだったのでおお‼️と思う感じでした。到着後、徒歩で徒歩で堺町通りへ。第一倉庫でビールをいただきタクシーで宿へ、1000円ちょいくらい。宿は4人では十分過ぎる広さ。楽しくすごしました。しいていえば、玄関のカギがかけずらかったかな。ありがとうございました。

It's about a 10-minute walk from Otaru Station, so it's easy to access, but there are bars and snacks nearby, so you can hear people talking and making noise even at night. The owner will be very kind and polite to explain the equipment. One thing you need to be careful about is that you don't have a bath towel, so you need to bring it with you. There is WiFi, but the connection was bad. The room was very large so it was very easy to spend. Thank you very much.

The location is great, and the hotel is clean. Somehow the home appliances are very difficult to use, I had cold shower there.

The room is large and very beautiful! It was really good to support wide 々. Check-in without face-to-face, but it was very easy to understand how. However, it was troublesome to translate all the contact emails for foreign tourists because they were in English. Immediately from Otaru sightseeing spot! However, it is really difficult to reach while pulling the carry on a messy slope! It's hard without Carrie! I recommend a taxi.
