AAnonymous UserPros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Villa was very well kept, with excellent views of the ocean. Pleasantly surprised by complimentary puddings and drinks. Manual grinder and coffee beans were a nice touch.
Cons: Unable to drive directly to the villa due to safety policy. This made loading/unloading luggage very inconvenient. The walk to the carpark required negotiating a slippery gravel slope, which was even more dangerous in low-light conditions. Recommend to improve this with proper stairs or paved pathway.
AAshley Wong889I love this room so much. The location is perfect, near the JR Station. The room is big enough for us to open two suitcases fully. One thing I very much like is the laundry pods, the smell is very fragrant!I wanna know about the brand of the laundry pods.
GGreen_newThis B&B is fantastic, clean, upscale, and has everything you need. The host is Chinese and the communication was great. Since there weren't any other guests, we rented the entire room for our family, which felt like a little escape from Japan. The bus stop is right outside, making it a convenient option for those wanting a rural Japanese experience.
It all depends on what you want. If you want a spacious vacation experience, this is the place to go. There's a dining room, kitchen, living room... For the same price, you'll get more convenient transportation at a hotel, but the smaller rooms in Japanese hotels are undeniable...
KKVaiIt’s around 13 minutes walk from JR Otaru Station, if you have luggage, just get a taxi to go there, only take around 5 minutes. This hotel is just too cute, a vintage vibe, lovely welcome drinks in classical lobby. My room is for single person, small but it’s fine. Japanese breakfast is amazing. You can have a canal view while you’re having breakfast. They provide free onsen or paid private onsen (2500 yen for 50 minutes). It’s a good stay.
SSyazwan MokhtarI had an amazing time at this hotel. You will need to take 15 minutes taxi ride to reach here from Otaru station. It's right by the beach. Room is super spacious and comforting. There's kitchen and dining area. It was snowing so the balcony is filled with snow but the view is just so amazing. The staffs are very helpful. You can check in early with a small fee. Breakfast was simple. Complete amenities.
GGuest UserThe room was small but super clean and cleverly set up with cool high-tech features. The lighting was cozy and made the space feel really comfortable. Breakfast was tasty, but dinner was absolutely exceptional—definitely a highlight of the stay. The location is great too, right next to the river, which is perfect for a peaceful morning walk. The staff at check-in were super friendly and helpful. Overall, a really pleasant experience!
SsweetknellneuThis guesthouse seems to be run by Chinese owners, which is nice. My room was right by the entrance. After checking in at the front desk, I couldn't find it until I turned around... it felt a bit like sleeping in a guardhouse. The soundproofing isn't great either. Because of its peculiar location, it gets very noisy in the mornings. And the room next door seems to be a staff office, which also generates a lot of noise. However, the room was warm and clean, perfect for a night's sleep, and the price was excellent. The only downside is that it didn't have a private bathroom. The common areas were clean and there was even coffee available, which was a pleasant touch.
FFahimnazeriI chose this guesthouse for its proximity to the train station and great value for the money, and I'm so glad I did! Even though it's a bit far from Sapporo city, the short 2-minute walk to the train station made getting around a breeze. The unit had everything I needed, including a washing machine and cooking essentials, which really made my stay comfortable. I definitely plan to book this guesthouse again for my next winter trip!
GGuest UserAdvantages: The natural environment is good, the surrounding green waters and green mountains, the air is fresh, and the stars can be seen at night.
Disadvantages: far from the city, there is a large hotel around the hotel that can provide catering services. There is no hair dryer in the room, no pot for boiling water (the hair dryer is shared at the front desk, and there is a water dispenser for boiling water in the corridor). There is no table in the room, it is not convenient to put things. The room type provided is different from the description of Trip.com (no sofa).
GGuest UserPro: Nice looking apartment, spacious for family of 4. Carpark lot was provided for the guest. Easy to check-in Walking distance to the otaru canal
Cons: There was urine stench inside the toilet. I had to clean the toilet seat and around it unfortunately the smell still remained.
Secondly, we can smell cigarette at the living room in the morning as we believed that there was a guest smoking g from upstairs or downstairs.
