2-Star Hotels in Amsterdam

Ii stayed here for 3 nights and had a great experience. The hostel was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location was very convenient. Good value for money and I would recommend it to other travelers.

The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to the train station and all the main attractions. Both the hotel and the room were spotless and didn't have any strange smells, which was great. The only minor downside was that the music from nearby bars could be a bit loud at night.

This is a large international chain hotel with excellent facilities, good hygiene, a top-notch environment, and standardized service. The hotel is located across the water from Central Station, and there's a free ferry service available 24/7. The pier and the view of the water are beautiful, and crossing the sea every day adds a unique charm to the experience.

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Amsterdam, just a few meters from Central Station. You'll find plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby. I really enjoyed the canal view, and the room was clean. It's a great option, I'd definitely stay again!

The location is superb, just a 6-minute walk from the train station. In the evenings, it's a ten-minute walk to ***. There are plenty of restaurants nearby; the entire street is practically lined with eateries. Overall, the room was clean. However, I found it quite peculiar that in the Netherlands, house taxes are levied based on a property's width, which explains why most buildings are long and narrow. The only drawback was that when I needed to store my luggage before checking out, the storage room was located downstairs, requiring me to carry my bags down a very narrow and steep staircase, one by one.

Everything was okay except, 1. In the bathroom the normal water shower didn't work ( the normal water handle to be rotated was stuck) 2. In the shower hot water was too hot as it couldn't be mixed with cold water. 3. Wish there was someone the desk for early check in. 4. The girl at the counter doesn't care much about the job, my room was 6 which is on the 2nd floor but she said 4th floor.

I was a bit worried after booking this hotel due to the bad reviews I saw but honestly my experience was absolutely fine. The room and bed was clean. It was quiet and the location was excellent. I was able to walk to everything but there’s a metro right outside too. The bed was comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful

The location is spectacular, and the room itself was fine. The downsides: As I'd seen in other comments, the stairs are very steep. The room they gave me didn't have a double bed; it was two small beds pushed together, which was a bit uncomfortable for a couple. Also, the noise from outside is very loud. I was able to sleep, but if you're someone who struggles to fall asleep, I wouldn't recommend it because you can hear everything, and there are kids screaming outside at all hours of the night. The hotel reception was good.

The location is good, quite close to Amsterdam station and the city center. To enter the hotel, you have to go to the reception of the hotel next door and have them open the door for you, which is a bit of a hassle, but the location is good and the room is just up the stairs, so overall it is convenient. The toilet and shower are shared outside the room, but there is a sink in the room.

Friendly staff, clean comfy bed and fantastic central location to explore the canals and get around the city. Yes the stairs are tight and steep, however, after doing a local tour we found out this is common in Amsterdam, so we felt this added to the charm and authentic experience. Only really two downsides: a lack of blockout curtain or blind, so we had to figure something out ourselves in order to get a good nights rest and no tea / coffee making facilities. Maybe this could be rectified by having a communal tea / coffee area for guest use. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay!
