calywenaSo close but not so far from the old town or maybe the attractions which is good, if you’re staying inside around the grand palace, it may get noisy so this place is really in a good place so location is very strategic 😘 From the train station (Midi Station), 2 stops away and you can walk to the hotel easily 🫶🏻 This hotel is kinda old so it gives off the old vibes but you got what you need and breakfast is good 😄 everybody is so welcoming ~ if you’re in a budget and still want a good hotel to stay, here is the place 👍🏻 thank you 🫰🏻

Yong PhilipNicely designed and allocated small hotel. Rooms are pretty and photogenic without losing the practical aspects of accommodation. Breakfast was great without feeling over crowded like most hotel of this scale. Staffs were very helpful and attentive. Location wise is a little let down but then again is not the hotel problem. It is about a 10-20 mins walk to nearby attractions but this 10-15 mins is through a pretty rough looking neighbour.

Gracie3Location is generally good and a just few steps to Metro from where you could connect to Brussels Midi in around 20 mins. Near shops/small restaurants. Around 15-20 mins away from Grand Place which is my favourite historical attraction in Brussels, surrounded by many eating places and shops.
The lounge smells so nice, inviting.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Clean, fresh-smelling simple room/toilet. Felt like Japanese themed. Good water pressure. Water may spill out of the cubicle as it is half open. You need to move to the left of the shower cubicle to ensure water wont splash outside.
Nespresso machine provided for coffee lovers like me. 4 pods free then buy the rest that you’d need for a fair price, I think. The table is quite small but they provided an extra stool.
Has a properly working air-conditioning system. Green-coloured wall panels, quite relaxing to the eyes. The space is adequate. Bed is quite comfortable. Ensure to put the “Do not disturb sign” as you may be awakened by staff cleaning the other rooms which happened after the first night. Windows couldnt be opened. Had a bit of sneezing during day 2 but room was serviced which helped a lot. A tablet was provided where you could request for extra amenities. It was very useful.
Was quite pleased to have stayed here. Will recommend.

Guest UserLovely boutique hotel in a perfect location steps away from Grand Place, clean, comfortable, nice staff. Quirky little decor details made it special. Great for a short break.

Booked the most basic room there was, as I was there for the F1 weekend, and will not be in the room except at night for resting. The location is nestled nicely between Brussels North Station and the shopping area/Grand Place, so most places that I wanted to go were walkable. I didn't interact with many service staff except when I checked in and out. Shower pressure was poor; it could have been better, considering the water pressure was quite strong. In terms of cleanliness, you could feel the grime on the carpet when walking barefoot. There was mould all over the pillars and walls of the room and toilet, and a musky smell coming from the cupboard. There is also no air-con in the room, when I say no air-con, I don't mean it is spoilt, there simply isn't one, so expect the room to be stuffy, especially on hotter months. I was lucky as the temperature at night was around 16C, so I used the portable heater as a ventilator fan.

ZhuyuxixiThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right near Brussels' Grand Place – literally a two-minute walk away. There are tons of restaurants and shops nearby, making it super convenient. The room itself was surprisingly spacious, which is a rare find in Europe, and the facilities were great. Having a kettle was a huge plus for us. We stayed for two nights, and the steak restaurant directly across from the hotel entrance was amazing – delicious and not expensive, so it was incredibly convenient to grab a meal right outside. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money and I highly recommend it!

RachelBrianWe booked this hotel for 4 nights during our trip to Brussels. When we arrived early, the lady at reception was very kind and allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated after travelling.
Later that evening, after spending the day exploring Brussels, we returned to the hotel very late and exhausted. That’s when we noticed there was an old blood stain on the bedsheets. The bed was also extremely itchy, and it felt like something was biting us during the night, although we couldn’t find any visible bugs.
The next morning, we had to leave very early to catch a train to Luxembourg, and again returned late that evening. We informed the receptionist about the stained sheets, but unfortunately he was very rude and dismissive. He told us our complaint was “unacceptable” because we reported it late in the evening and should have mentioned it in the morning instead. In our opinion, he could have simply passed the issue on to the morning staff so it could be handled properly.
What made things worse was that housekeeping made the bed the next day but did not replace the sheets at all the blood stain was still there.
Our trip itself was amazing, but sadly, about a week later, both my girlfriend and I were diagnosed with Lyme disease after experiencing bites during our stay. We cannot say for certain where it came from, but our experience in the hotel room definitely raised concerns.
Very disappointing experience, especially considering the poor handling of a hygiene-related complaint.

nursewandererI arrived early and was fortunately allowed to check in ahead of time. The check-in process was fine overall, and although the hotel felt a bit like a maze, I was given directions to my room. The lift was very small and quite old, so I chose not to use it again afterward.
The hotel interior was beautiful and matched the Moroccan-inspired vibe shown online. Even the hallway had a pleasant smell, which added to the atmosphere. However, my room was located in the basement and required going down a few small stairs. It was a bit dark and honestly felt slightly unsettling at times. The lighting inside the room was also quite dim.
The room appeared clean, although there was a woody smell and the linens seemed a little damp, or at least smelled that way. On the positive side, the toilet was clean and had all the expected amenities, and the shower was excellent with hot water warming up quickly.
I also appreciated being allowed to leave my bag after checkout, although I was simply told to leave it in the corner. The staff and owner were friendly throughout my stay, and I was even offered to use the toilet when I returned later to collect my luggage, which was thoughtful.
The highlight of the hotel is definitely its excellent location, with close proximity to both the Grand Place and the train station.

Plus:
The room is really big. So is the bed. It is so big that makes me think as if it is king size bed to house politicians or prime minister from the 80s, 90s.
There is heating both in the room and in the shower
There is air con set in the room( but I didn't try to see if it works)
This hotel is located less than 10 mins walk from Brussels north station
Minus
The room look really old. May be 90s, if not 80s.
There is no carpet on the floor. It is really clean but it is really cold to step on. Bring your own slippers.
The room is dim. And some lights were spoilt.
Even if was told it is a non smoking room, the room has lingering smoking smell. Someone smoked in this room before. I told the front desk, he said he will check but when I return from the city , the smell is there still.
The bathroom has some odd smell. May b smell of roaches, or roaches in the pipes.
The shower curtain smell of mould and damp cloth/ damp laundry.
The heating stop around 2am. May b there is max amount of heating one room could use. Make sure you time your heating usage carefully.
The wall is really thin. You can hear when someone is around the lift, going towards their room or what next door is up to.
I can hear everything happening outside, on the street, from police car n siren rushing up and down, to people wondering on the street, their conversation. I don't feel safe here. I can't relax and sleep.
I don't like the paper cup given together with coffee and the place to brush teeth. May be the hotel suffer too often from being stolen . But that make the hotel rating dropping from 1star hotel to guest house.
The toilet spoilt in the middle of the night and you can hear water flowing all night. Need to maneuver with the old school toilet pull button .
I appreciate the effort they maintain it but personally I don't like it. unless you have really early bus or train to catch, and is on a shoe string budget then it is your choice.
