Beautiful hotel with a wine cellar downstairs, conveniently located 12 minutes' walk from the train station. However, it's a 20-minute taxi ride to the city center. On the downside: it was cold! There was no heating in the room, and we froze at night! (It was 10 degrees Celsius outside, so naturally, it was cold inside too). Our room faced the road, and the noise insulation was terrible! We could hear everything from the street and the corridor! There was a cigarette smell in the room! It seemed like someone had been smoking, and despite airing it out, the smell wouldn't go away! We asked to change rooms but were refused, told there were no other rooms available! Very unpleasant! We did extend our stay by 6 hours for half the price, which was a plus. Pros: The room had everything advertised, including a bathrobe – though only one, even though I booked for two people. The shower was broken; both showerheads (the rain shower too) seemed clogged, and water came out from the side on both, making it very inconvenient to shower. There were only two pillows; four would have been better. Other pros: Decent breakfast with coffee from a machine. The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are clean and cozy. There's an ironing board and iron in the hallway. The beds are comfortable.

Everything was great – a nice, beautiful room with AC. We unfortunately fell ill, and the staff helped us call an ambulance and guided them to our room. In the morning, they even cooked rice for the sick person. Excellent service, thank you!

There is no natural light in the room, so it is dark. For the 3 days I stayed, the floors had not been cleaned. And the owner keeps coming in and out several times in the day, to make sure lights are turned off even if you are in the room. The owner is easily available for any questions. I appreciate the location which has good restaurants and bakeries around. It is mangeable to walk to the different tourist attractions, around 30 minutes to one hour walk. Laundering services are offered against fees per type of clothes but they do not wash underwear. There is a big entrance an table outside in the patio which is pleasant.

Hello everyone from the Caucasus! I stayed at the hotel for 4 days in mid-April. The location is great – all attractions are within walking distance, and it's easy to access the hotel by car. The rooms match the description; good bed linen, and the bathroom has gel, shampoo, and soap. However, there's a slight, specific odor in the bathroom, which I didn't notice in the room itself. My room was directly opposite the staircase, and the window opened into the hallway. Upstairs, there's a viewing platform with access to the roof (photo 3), where a glass door was open, providing plenty of fresh air. I could hear my neighbors clearly, but it wasn't too disruptive. I'd like to highlight the excellent work of the staff: - The reception staff were attentive and friendly. - The housekeeping staff do a fantastic job cleaning all areas. - The breakfast attendant was also very caring.

I was traveling alone. I arrived from Bukhara by overnight train using Yndex Go. The building was at the end of a dark street. Even though it was late at night, around 7:30 pm, I was touched by the welcoming atmosphere. They asked what time I wanted breakfast, so I requested 8 am. It took courage to go out at that time, but I walked to Registan Square. I could see the blue mosque building against the sky and headed towards it. The breathtaking full view of the illuminated mosque was beautiful. The walk back to the hotel was a bit dark, but not a problem. It's a good location for visiting several mausoleums on foot early every morning. When I ate in the courtyard, small children came out, which was adorable. The mother and grandfather couldn't speak the language, but they were very kind.

Location of the address is inaccurate. Taxis tend to stop at opposite the road. Signage is very small. Need to pay attention to see the blue signage. I like to quietness and quaintness of this hotel, but bathroom facilities wise, it not fulfilling the basic needs of a traveller because of the shower facility. Otherwise, Environment is good, i like especially the outdoor seating space at ground floor. The hot water in the bathroom is very inconsistent. Water flow is very low from the shower head. Sometimes water get very hot and almost burnt my skin many times. Bathroom is very cramp very difficult to get even a proper shower. The staff did their best they can to clean up the place, fix the shower head and offer good service. But the facilities of the shower room needs proper maintenance and servicing, inconsistent hot water supply is frustrating.

Great hotel with a delicious and filling breakfast. The front desk staff are always fantastic at answering any questions, from where to go and how to get there, to where to have dinner – they know everything! We really enjoyed our stay, thank you! ☀️

Hotel Samarkand Ali offers a comfortable and authentic stay in the historic city of Samarkand. The location is convenient, with easy access to major attractions such as Registan Square and Shah-i-Zinda. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a long day of sightseeing. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always willing to assist with directions or local recommendations. Breakfast is simple but enjoyable, featuring a selection of fresh bread, fruits, and traditional dishes. Overall, the hotel provides great value for money and a pleasant experience for travelers.

This place feels more like a small guesthouse than a regular hotel. There is no hotel sign yet, and the building itself is still partially unfinished, so arriving for the first time can be a little confusing. But the location is already properly listed on both Yandex Maps and Google Maps, making it still quite easy to find. It is also only around 1.2 km from Registan Square, so walking there is very manageable. The staff were extremely kind and responsive throughout the stay. They spoke English well and were easy to contact, which was especially helpful since I arrived around midnight. Despite the late arrival, the check-in process was smooth and stress-free. I booked a double room, which did not have a private bathroom and instead used a shared one. The room itself was spacious and clean, although the bed was a bit firm. The hotel also has a shared kitchen, which was very useful during the stay. Overall, a comfortable stay with very kind staff, especially for travelers looking for a more budget-friendly option.

I didn't take pic of the room as it is basic but spacious enough. The hotel is strategically located in between various sightseeing sites. For travellers who opt for tram and bus, you choose the right location because opposite the hotel just accross the road, there is a tramvay stop and bus stop. Tramvay goes to and for the main train station if you are departing for Tashkent or Bukhara. While bus goes around the city. Take bus 22 to go around the city area such as Registan centre. Take bus 31 to and for airport. Really convenient, affordable, and I highly recommend it.
