Adelaide Hotels with Pools

Book luxury room, it is new upgraded I think. Managed well, sad thing they don’t have their own parking, they can park for you 55$ or on your own 25$ per night, parking is 5 minutes walking. 24 hrs gym, and it is really good, full new equipments for all kinds.

After a disastrous meal the night before my wife and I decided to eat in house at the Pullman Hotel restaurant, SALT. The table service was excellent and we were both well respected as customers. Food quality was magnificent. I had a Braised Beef Short Rib that was perfectly cooked and my wife had the prawns. The prawns were bursting with flavour and they were cooked perfectly. Well done to the crew at SALT.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have thoroughly enjoyed all my previous stays but on my most recent stay I found that standards had severely declined in multiple respects. Upon arrival there were no staff at the driveway to assist to unload the luggage as there are usually. Upon entering the hotel lobby, I found all reception desks unattended. After waiting a few minutes, a staff eventually arrived. As an Accor platinum member, I have always been upgraded to a suite at this hotel on all my previous stays. I asked about the availability of a suite upgrade for this stay but was informed by the staff that there were none available. I accepted that because I understand that upgrades are subject to availability. However, when I checked the availability of suites for my stay dates immediately after check-in, I found that there were multiple suites available. So the staff had lied to me. I discussed the matter with Heath Varcoe, the Guest Experience Manager. Heath said that upgrades for Accor platinum members were only to the next room category and also dependent on factors other than availability, without elaborating on what those other factors were. I feel that as an Accor platinum member who has stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, the hotel should do their best to offer a suite upgrade if possible, as they have on all my previous stays. I asked Heath if I could get the contact details of a staff in the reservations team so I could check with them when planning future stays regarding the likelihood of a suite upgrade being available. Heath said he would check and get back to me before I checked out, but I have never heard from him, despite asking the staff on check out to follow up with Heath. It has now been a few months. I was assigned to a small room which had an awkward ‘open plan’ design with a bathtub placed awkwardly in the middle of the room. The sliding door to the bathroom was difficult to open and close and did not actually afford much privacy as you could still hear everything going on in the bathroom when it was closed. Also, it seems the hotel has replaced the Dyson hairdryers with el-cheapo brand ones which look like they are from a $2 store. They do not fit with the image of Sofitel as a luxury hotel. There was also no portable speaker in the room as there usually is. At the breakfast buffet at Garçon Bleu I found that there were no chicken sausages as there had been on all my previous stays, only pork ones. Because I do not eat pork, I raised this with the staff and was informed that they had run out but they would have them the next day. But the next day when I went back there were still no chicken sausages. So I decided to visit Club Millesime for breakfast instead, and strangely found that they did actually have chicken sausages there. But they were not the full-size ones that were available previously, rather, they were small, cocktail-size ones. I hope they bring the full-size ones back, because

Do NOT GO to the restaurant, Koomo, on the 10th floor for dinner. The worst service we have had in any Crowne Plaza, or in any restaurant in Adelaide, and the most incompetent management to fix a very trivial issue. Last night my wife and I had booked a table for 6 people - two clients and two colleagues from Sydney and Perth.  The restaurant was about half full when we arrived. There were only 2 waitresses working in the restaurant, and it took us more than half an hour to be given menus, and a wine order to be taken.  It took another 20 minutes, after asking many times, for our food order to be taken. Two of our guests ordered a la carte from the menu,  and the other four wanted to try the ”tasting menu” - more expensive than the al la carte menu, with various preset courses. This is where things really started to go wrong. The tasting menu consisted of a choice between beef and chicken. Three people wanted beef and the other person wanted chicken.We were told by the waitress that the kitchen would not cook only one chicken for one person, and that two people would have to have this - in other words the four people could be served either all beef, or 2 chicken + 2 beef, but not 1 chicken and 3 beef. We really thought the waitress was joking, but realised she was serious. We asked her, very politely, if she could have a word with the kitchen and try to arrange this ”difficult” request. Some 15 minutes later the waitress returned and told us that it was not possible and the kitchen was not prepared to cook only one portion of chicken - it must be two portions and somebody else in our group wanting beef should cancel his beef and eat chicken instead. We asked to see the manager to see if he could sort this out, and very clearly told the waitress that if we could not get the food we wanted from the menu, then we would leave and go to another restaurant. No manager came to see us, but the waitress returned and told us that she had discussed with the manager and that the kitchen still refused to cook only one portion of chicken. We were not impressed. We paid the bill for the wine,  put on our coats and left the restaurant. As we were leaving someone from management (hotel or restaurant?) came to us and asked if we could reconsider and stay, and he would ”try” and convince the kitchen. Too late - our first experience of trying the Koomo restaurant had already been spoiled - poor service from the beginning and no feeling whatsoever for handling customers, and not any attempt to fix the very minor point of what we wanted to order by the management, until we were actually leaving.  I do not blame the waitress - she was caught in the middle with no support from the kitchen staff or the management. This is absolutely a management issue - one of making sure that all staff are trying their best to give good service to their customers, especially if the restaurant is selling itself as a high end one. I had an splendid stay at hotel indigo at Adelaide market. The room was comfortable. In a good size and central location. There were plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. Very convenient. I would visit again when I come back to Adelaide.

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary this year by visiting Adelaide. Stamford Plaza was our main base as we travelled throughout the region experiencing all of the arts, culture, history, Architecture, food and wine of the region. Our stay at Stamford Plaza was pleasant and clean with all the amenities needed in a central location. To raise the bar though it was the service we received at Stamford Plaza from Jacqui aka Jax that made it extra special. From her warm welcome, recommended attractions and hot spots to the extra special touches including bottle of wine to help us celebrate. Our memories of our stay in Adelaide were greatly enhanced due to Jax and the Stamford Hotel. Thank you!

Well reviewed hotel, which we found disappointing. Firstly, on arrival (we arrived around 11am), at check-in we were told that our room wasn't ready so the receptionist after reminding us that check-in was at 3pm, stored away our luggage and promised to text us when the room was ready, we went for a walk, after having lunch, about 2.5 hours later, we went back and the room still wasn't ready, after an hours waiting in the reception area and watching guests checking in without any problem my wife (again) asked when our room was ready, her reply was that the room had been ready for some time and she thought that we were relaxing, so she didn't want to disturb us ( no text either) - really! Our stay was bed with breakfast, breakfast menu we thought was prescriptive, we had a choice of tea/coffee or orange juice couldn't have both as it was extra, throughout the breakfasts, chef found it impossible to fry an egg without charring it. The pool which is shown in the picture is small, get your fitness bunny in and that's it, then again we found it filthy, looking on the side wall there was a 2” (50mm) black, thick tide mark all around the inside of the pool and 'bits' on the floor so it seems cleanliness isn't top of the list, which comes to our room, nice sized and comfortable, but why the cleaner couldn't clean our room when he was either next door or the room facing was puzzling even though we put our tag on our door. A thing we found with regard to the reviews of this hotel I found that quite a few of these were people from Adelaide who not only gave this hotel 5 stars, but only ever did one review - hmm? The hotel is situated about a 10/15 minute walk from the centre of town and appeared to be a popular place to stay amongst the business fraternity

We stayed here last night as we were going to The 10cc concert. Arrival was swift and easy and the room was already available. Our room was a junior suite facing North Terrace, it was clean and quiet. We enjoyed 2 complimentary drinks from the bar. They have refurbished the hotel but I think the bar looks a touch bland and not welcoming. I would have thought that there would have been sanitiser available on all levels by the lifts and in the room also. The shampoo, soap etc no longer comes as individual packs but huge bottles and being still in Covid times I thought this a bit off putting. Breakfast was ok nothing special and luckily we had ours included or it would have cost us $42.00 per person and it was not worth that much. The pre-made pancakes were freezing cold. There was a good range of cereals and the fruit plates were nice but had defrosted and tinned fruit also. I found all the supposedly hot foods not hot but cool venturing on cold and they need to do something about the baked beans as they were nasty. We had a slight hiccup on leaving as we were almost charged for two glasses of red wine which we quickly told the receptionist we never had. She amended that quickly so all good.

The hotel does not have its own parking lot, which is surprising. The breakfast does not meet the five-star standard. There is no free water in the room, only a filtered water dispenser on the floor. Everything else is good.
