As for other attractions, you need to drive. It seems a bit inconvenient, but you can reach Taichung Port in about 5 minutes. At first glance, the reception hall has a low-key luxury and star-rated hotel style. There is a reception hall and restaurant on the first floor. The hotel floor is not high and only four floors. Zhendajin Tulip Hotel, I think the good place is that the refrigerator drinks are free to use, the brewing drinks are also very complete, I did not expect there to be welcome fruit! !

I booked this hotel as it stated that there are parking lots. When I came to check in, staff only said that there were not available and directed me to the near by parking where I have to pay fee. Staff who are at the counter check in were not so friendly, unlike the staff who are at the breakfast entrance and in front of the elevator area, they were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and we got the view where we can see the main train station.

The hotel is located quite a distance away from the TRA station and shopping malls but bus stops are within walking distance. Buses to Nantou is located right beside the hotel, suitable for tourists making a trip to Sun Moon Lake or Qingjing Farm etc. Breakfast is not bad with some variety. There is also a vending machine with food and drinks for convenience and free coffee/tea available 24/7. Coin laundry is also available but doesn't have a timer.

Would like to highlight an issue we encountered with regards to our deposit and certain charges that were made to us but which we had not incurred. When we were checking out, we asked to have a look at our statement of charges as we understood that any additional charges would be offset by the deposit placed with the hotel. We had dinner at ”The Prime -Grill and Lounge” on one of the nights and just wanted to check if the charges were right. The statement showed 3 separate bills that were not incurred by us and were all purchases of alcohol, which we found strange. When we brought this up with the front desk, the staff did not seem surprised at all with the error or sought to verify the same anywhere nor were we given any apology for the mistake. It was as though she already knew that those 3 charges were unanauthorised transactions and said that the hotel would rectify the issue with the bank in respect of our deposit. The front desk was also very adamant to not let us speak to her manager about the issue. We just wanted to highlight the above because we would usually just trust the hotel to refund the right amount of deposit without checking, especially when using credit card to pay the same. But it may be worth checking when it comes to this hotel as based on the reaction which we got from the front desk, it seems that such mistakes whether intentional or not have happened before. We also hope that the hotel would do some sort of investigation into how issues like this could happen.

Booked through Ctrip's new user discount, the VIP king room is priced at 3061 per night on weekdays. The hotel is located on Taiwan Avenue, which is a traffic artery in Taichung City. It is very convenient. It is about 10 minutes' drive from Fengjia Tourist Night Market. The room is decorated in a classic style. The bed is moderately soft and hard, and I find it comfortable and easy to sleep in. The swimming pool saunas are open, and reservations are required before using the saunas. The breakfast menu is rich, including Taichung's special fried noodles with Dongquan chili sauce. The freshly squeezed juice is delicious. My boyfriend who lives with me also likes the breakfast dishes. Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taichung is considered a five-star hotel with a high CP value in Taiwan. Although the building and equipment have a sense of age, they feel that they have been carefully maintained. I will visit again next time I come to Taichung!

Location: It located infront local train Taichung not hsr taichung. But it is very easy to access using local train from hsr taichung/Xinwuri to local train taichung. A lot of convenience store nearby and two vegetarian shops located near the hotel the other one just at a corridor beside the hotel. Amenities: give some tea and coffee. Water heater provides.
