The room is warm and clean, the service is thoughtful and meticulous, the housekeeper service is in place, the front desk responds quickly, and Wanda Plaza is just downstairs. It is very convenient. The hotel itself is located out in the far Northeast of the city, in a quiet location, but easily accessible by the fast roads. It is opposite a shopping mall with everything you need such as coffee shop, fast food etc. Conveniece store also just across the street. Check-in was easy and straight-forward and the hotel is clean and modern. The room was well-appointed with everything I needed and the best thing was the amazing bed, which was super-comfortable! Breakfast is excellent and has both Western and Chinese buffet options. Plenty of choice here! Service was fantastic for this stay. The second day we had a power blackout for an hour or so because of engineers across the street. The staff dealt with it very well and made sure I was looked after. Swimming pool is good too. Recommend.

This hotel is next to Jinguo Temple, and you can go directly to Jinguo Temple from the back door of the hotel. It is very close to Taiyuan Ancient County, Mengshan Giant Buddha and other attractions. The hotel itself is a large garden, built in 1957, nearly 70 years old, lush trees, tall and lush, with historical pavilions, small bridges and flowing water, a small building dotted with them, the environment is very beautiful and quiet. During the National Day, the whole park was full of flags, and the melodious ”I Love My Motherland” echoed everywhere. The vehicles entering and leaving were quiet and orderly, and the overall atmosphere was safe, low-key and heavy. The hotel room is very large, there is a strong old cadre style, the carpets and bedding are very clean, the home has a sense of age, but the maintenance is very good, the design is reasonable, and it looks warm and friendly. There is a lot of bottled water in the room, enough to use, and the quality of toiletries is also very good. The best thing is the TV in the room. A remote control can be opened and you can watch each station directly. Unlike most hotels' TVs, several remote control, it takes a long time to open it or your apps, members, etc. It's not practical and convenient to be fancy. The service of the hotel is very good. The security guards, lobby managers, service staff, etc. are well-trained and warm and thoughtful. There is a battery car to pick up and drop off in Jinguo. There are welcome staff at the entrance of the lobby. The hotel restaurant is not as expensive as other five-star hotels, but very affordable. The taste is also very good. When I don't want to go to the restaurant to eat, there is also a meal delivery service. This kind of national team hotel quality is really unexpected, coupled with the simple enthusiasm of Shanxi people, it can be said that it is a shining business card of Shanxi tourism.

The only five-star hotel in Taiyuan's North District. Although the facilities are not the newest, the sanitary conditions are good. The rooms facing the road are also very quiet. The sound of firecrackers during the Chinese New Year is not too obvious. In the summer, you can take a walk in the lawn area behind the hotel. There is a Dazhanggui Restaurant next to it. It is three kilometers away from Wanda Plaza and is convenient for shopping and dining. The room attendant Gai Xiaodang and Fu Honghong gave me millet porridge and the restaurant waiter Mile gave me a small gift. I was very satisfied with the whole stay. Recommended!

Nice hotel stay. However, I want to complain about this meal! Went for dinner in the evening. A discount of 20 yuan per person brings the price down to 88 yuan. There is barbecue, drinks, hot dishes, cooked noodles, etc. When it comes to barbecue, it's just a grilled dragon fish, with bones and flesh attached. Speaking of hot dishes, no hot dish can make people even slightly satisfied. It said mutton soup, but it said mutton soup, but there was no mutton soup. It only asked you to order mutton soup, and you ordered a little mutton soup and a bunch of vermicelli. Okay, I'll put less vermicelli next time, but it works. There is only a small amount of haggis in a bowl of soup, and the haggis is so fat that it makes people sigh. Eat a cake. There are only one or two varieties of ready-made cakes. If you eat one at random, it will be tasteless. Finally? ! There is a small hot pot, let's cook some vegetables and eat them. The enoki mushrooms are a bit dry. By the way, the drinks are all bottled and freshly squeezed? No. I will never eat in this hotel again in my life. In the morning, I went to have breakfast without any expectations and visit the old place. Ah! Much better than last night, a little richer. The hot dishes are steaming hot. A little bit of expectation. There are also more types of cakes, which are pretty good. As a result, I ate so much that I always wondered if I forgot to add salt, including cold dishes. I lost my appetite at noon. What’s funny is that there is coffee in the evening and only milk and soy milk in the morning

In the past when I go to Taiyuan I always stayed at Pullmans next to FuLi Xinhualing area. I decided to give this hotel a try due to its location and convenience. Location is very convenient, calling a cab is easy, Starbucks next door, shopping centers all round with food courts, Walmart is 10 minutes walk away. Hotel got a pool and gym, I used it and it is not bad at all. They kept the pool and the gym pretty clean. The rooms are also kept clean. Be mindful that the rooms are not design for privacy. If you are staying with another person in the room the bathroom + shower has clear glasses, they have a see through shades covering the glasses but you can still see everything inside. The rooms seems to be smoke free but the hall ways are always filled with smoke smell. They really do not enforce no indoor smoking rule here. It is a hit and miss on the non-smoking room. I see some guest smoking in their rooms with door open. At last the service. The front desk staff seems very cordial and nice. However on the day we are checking out they informed us that one of the towels we used has dye on it which they can not wash out, that came out to a whopping 100 yuan to replace the towel. Really? 100 yuan, I can get a dozen white towels in Walmart. Also, the claim they couldn't clean it was shown to me on a front desk staff's personal phone. Have you ever heard of bleach before? Seriously, you can not get a white towel cleaned? Is this hotel in the hospitality business or linen retail business? Since I was in a hurry to catch a train I didn't want to argue over something as petty as 100 yuan. I paid the fees and left. Next time I am in Taiyuan again I probably will go back to Pullman hotel. Smoke smell is not a problem and they never give me a hard time on something as petty as a towel.

The location of the hotel is super good! Food, drink and entertainment are all within walking distance. As an InterContinental member, this is the best service I have ever had in China.
