We will eat directly below when we arrive. It is cheap and good quality, which is very convenient. I said twice when checking in that I didn’t want the room at the end of the corridor, but I was given 2 rooms at the end of the corridor on different floors (one with a large bed and one with a standard room). 3. We booked on 2 platforms, and the room types were different. We were given 2 floors. When checking in, we said that we should try to get 2 rooms that were closer, but we were given 2 floors. Later, because I was determined not to stay in the room at the end of the corridor, another front desk helped us move to the same floor. After chatting with other front desk staff, I learned that there were different room types next to each other. I hope the hotel can strengthen the business training of employees!

In the past when I go to Taiyuan I always stayed at Pullmans next to FuLi Xinhualing area. I decided to give this hotel a try due to its location and convenience. Location is very convenient, calling a cab is easy, Starbucks next door, shopping centers all round with food courts, Walmart is 10 minutes walk away. Hotel got a pool and gym, I used it and it is not bad at all. They kept the pool and the gym pretty clean. The rooms are also kept clean. Be mindful that the rooms are not design for privacy. If you are staying with another person in the room the bathroom + shower has clear glasses, they have a see through shades covering the glasses but you can still see everything inside. The rooms seems to be smoke free but the hall ways are always filled with smoke smell. They really do not enforce no indoor smoking rule here. It is a hit and miss on the non-smoking room. I see some guest smoking in their rooms with door open. At last the service. The front desk staff seems very cordial and nice. However on the day we are checking out they informed us that one of the towels we used has dye on it which they can not wash out, that came out to a whopping 100 yuan to replace the towel. Really? 100 yuan, I can get a dozen white towels in Walmart. Also, the claim they couldn't clean it was shown to me on a front desk staff's personal phone. Have you ever heard of bleach before? Seriously, you can not get a white towel cleaned? Is this hotel in the hospitality business or linen retail business? Since I was in a hurry to catch a train I didn't want to argue over something as petty as 100 yuan. I paid the fees and left. Next time I am in Taiyuan again I probably will go back to Pullman hotel. Smoke smell is not a problem and they never give me a hard time on something as petty as a towel.

A few hours before check-in, the hotel called to inquire about check-in requirements. The lady was very smart to hear that I was traveling with the elderly and needed a quiet location, so she specially noted that we had a high-rise room. When we arrived at the lobby, there was a waiting employee to greet us. After check-in, the young man took the initiative to help us carry our luggage to the room. During the period, he saw that I was traveling with the elderly and specially took care of our executive lounge trea**ent. My elderly family was very happy! The boss of Courtyard, please give him a chicken leg hahahahaha At the beginning of this trip, I hesitated about the newly opened JW Marriott. Thinking that it had only been open for a month, I was afraid that there would be a decoration smell that the elderly could not adapt to, so I chose Courtyard. Now I am very glad about this decision hahahaha. Although it was only a short two-night stay, I will choose Courtyard in Taiyuan in the future (especially when I stayed at Datong Yungang Hotel later. Compared with Courtyard, Brother Wang Bin’s service awareness is amazing!
