The service from the staff was great. I was very satisfied with the cold tea, snacks, cold water before bed, food, and cleanliness of the room. However, I was concerned about the fact that I didn't know who had used my slippers, the group next door was so noisy that they even blew a conch horn during meals, the stairs were steep, and the bathroom sink was small.

I didn't like it when they cleared away the empty plates too quickly while I was eating!
I understand that it can't be helped since it's an inn, but I wish the rooms had tables and chairs too!
The bathroom was slippery and scary!
I wish the fridge in the room had canned beer and canned chuhai!
I usually sleep in bed, so sleeping on the tatami mat and futon was painful!
The wet towels given with the meal were aromatherapy towels, but I don't think they needed any scent since it was before the meal!

Excellent stay at the coziest little town in Japan. I fully recommend going for the half board option and taking the most out of the fantastic dinner option.

This place was gorgeous. First thing first, I left the same day from Tokyo and managed to break my phone on my way there so I got lost and missed the last bus from the nearest town. I was able to call the Ryokan personnel and one of the employees (whose name I forgot) drove to there around 11pm and picked me up ♥ That in itself was incredibly sweet. The only (and when I say ''only''!!!) thing that was a bit...meh...Is that during my stay, the town was empty. Like, 3-4 people, I was so confused. But the town is incredibly beautiful, the hikes in the surrounding area are amazing, I could have spent hours laying on the ground in the temple area to listen to the sounds of water...The food included in my reservation was...to die for. Honestly, what I ate there (the dinner was my favorite) was the best food I ate in my life. The room I stayed in was so clean and stunning, the yukata was comfortable and the tea was delicious! The staff there was so friendly, I forgot their names but I would like to go back there next time I visit Japan for sure :) Next time though I will make sure to come back when there are more people :) So I can make more memories of this great place!

First of all, all employees are friendly. However, if you ask a question or make a request, it will happily answer. The toilet was washlet and comfortable. The food uses local products, is ingenious and delicious, and the amount is satisfying. The fireplace in the lobby and the charcoal that warmed the futon also left an impression. Only because it's a Japanese-style room, I went to bed late because of the lively conversations of the family next door. In the middle of the Dorogawa hot spring town, I was able to enjoy a unique cafe and Kajika Falls. I want to go again.
