This lodge is located very near to Anantha Padmanabha swamy mandir and nearby there are two good veg restaurants too ie Hotel Annapurna and Hotel Udupi Veg. We reached this hotel on March 25th 2024 at 7.30AM and we got 3 bed AC room immediately. Room was very clean and neat . Also all basic facilities were available. The owner Mr. Venkatesh is very kind and he extended an excellent hospitality to us. I recommend to stay there whenever you want to visit Anathapadmanambha swamy temple/Trivendrum. Nearby there is a travel agent who provides Auto/Taxi in a very competitive price

The front desk staff member I encountered was exceptionally rude and unprofessional. When I inquired about why the extra bed provided during this stay did not come with a bed frame as it had during my previous stay just five nights ago, his response was dismissive and unhelpful. He said, ”You should ask the housekeeping, not me.” via telephone. If this is the standard of hospitality your hotel upholds, I see no reason to return. Furthermore, the subsequent explanation provided by the same staff member was equally unacceptable. He stated, ”We said extra bed, not frame,” and informed me that the extra bed would be placed on the floor. This was only communicated after we had settled into our room, not at check-in. It appears that your hotel has a limited number of bed frames for extra beds and had run out, despite my booking being made a month in advance. This situation could have been handled much more professionally. If the lack of bed frames had been communicated at check-in with a simple, ”We apologise, but we have run out of bed frames,” it would have been understandable. However, the rude attitude and lack of basic courtesy from your front desk staff are inexcusable. Proper communication and a respectful demeanour are fundamental in the hospitality industry, and this experience has left me extremely disappointed.

The hotel is old and some facilities are aging, but the pattern is definitely one of the best hotels in the past. The layout of the garden-style hotel is definitely high in the city center. It is more than one grade higher than the only Hilton Hotel in Kerala. The room is spacious, there is a foyer in the English layout, and the big bed room is made. The feeling of the suite. Check-out can be extended until 8 o'clock in the evening, which may be related to the off-season. The service is absolutely convincing, and the dining is also delicious, comparing the authentic Indian cuisine.

This was my first visit to tvm and ginger hotels tvm has stayed above expectations in all aspects. The staff here are amazing. I enquired about the place before hand and after i arrived here at the hotel. I found this to be exactly what they have promised me. Me. Ms. Shalimol and mr vipin had been really understanding and i am overwhelmed by their hospitality. Next time i visit tvm for my work. Without a doubt i will choose this property over others available.

We stayed at this hotel with respect to reviews found at Google. Excellent hotel with excellent location located at the city center,extremely clean & comfortable . Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staffs , they makes our trip more interesting with their advices & tips about the city ,supermarket ,shops, Would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! The KTDC Grand Chaitram, Thiruvananthapuram is a government hotel which provides quality services at affordable tariffs. The hotel is located in the centraI Trivandrum which is the older part of the city on the main road. The Trivendrum Central Railway Station is right accross the road and Thampanoor Bus stand is adjacent to the hotel. Yet the road is remarkably congestion-free and quite. You won't hear street noise in your room. This part of the city is very well connected to all other parts of the city. The drive to hotel from airport took around 45 minutes. Please remember that Uber & Ola are available in three or four large cities of the state. The checkin was fast and we had to wait for around 15 minutes before we were ushered into our room. We stayed from 30th May to 1st June in superior room at fourth floor . It contains a sitting room and a bed room. The rooms are spacious and have all amenities. The laundry service is fast and reasonably priced. Though there is definitely a huge language barrier, the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and house keeping is good. A small private parking is available. The food quality and the buffet breakfast spread are average. A quicker response to service requests is desired. The location is top notch. Most of the tourist place like Napier Museum, Zoo, Aquarium, Art Gallery, Kanakakunnu Palace, Science and Technology Museum, Planetarium etc. are within 5 km. The temple of Padmanabhanswami is around 1 km away. If you want to eat out try Aryaas Park (veg) 50 m and Azad Hotel 500 m away. One can go to Pothy Textile 500 m away for shopping clothes.
