Elmdene

The Elmdene continues to amaze with the highest of standards in all areas, the rooms are wonderful, the bathrooms a delight and the Breakfast is Belly busting. The hosts are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble, they go behind the extra mile to accommodate their guests. Please may they long continue.

We had a wonderful stay at the Elmdene! Kim and Trevor are brilliant hosts, exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless and extremely comfortable. Kim’s scones are delicious, and breakfast was great too. Plenty of car parking, easy walk to the seafront through the grounds of the abbey.

Trevor and Kim are very welcoming. The hotel is well positioned for town. It appears newly decorated and is spotlessly clean. Our room was a great size with a very comfortable leather couch on which to enjoy our drinks( either from honesty bar or our own stored in the in room fridge) whilst reading a book! Breakfast was very good with a wide choice. I can’t imagine you would do any better in Torquay than stay here. Also plenty of parking space.

We can truly say that Elmdene is the most beautiful. Delightful, tasteful and wonderful hotel we have ever stayed at in the whole of the uk, and we do travel a lot. There is not one thing that can be faulted.. Kim and Trevor are such a lovely warm friendly couple and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is immaculate, our room was so elegant the decor was gorgeous. the bed and linen were so comfortable, and the comfy chairs to sit and enjoy watching the tv were smashing. The shower was great and powerful. Everything was just perfect.. and then to put icing on the cake the breakfast was super delicious and so much choice. This is our third visit and we know there will be many more… a huge thank you to Trevor and Kim for making our holiday week so fabulous……

Another lovely stay at the Elmdene with great hosts, Kim and Trevor. We are always made very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Everything is immaculate and the breakfasts are amazing. Kim always spoils us with her lovely cream teas!! Plenty of car parking available. We call the Elmdene "our second home"

Extremely clean and tidy, excellent facilities everything you would need and more. Decor was beautiful such a large bedroom with a separate mini lounge, so cute. Great choice for breakfast and cooked to perfection. Love the little touches like the tasty homemade scones, the chocolates and fresh milk in the fridge along with bottled water. Our hosts Kim and Trevor are so friendly and helpful, keep up a great job. You are clearly great at what you do. Thanks from Claire and Scott.

What an amazing hotel , definitely worth its 5 star rating The hotel is spotless throughout and decorated to a high standard. Everything you could want and need is in your room .The hosts Kim and Trevor go above and beyond in all they do. Came back one evening to find freshly baked scones ,cream and jam in our room , they were delicious. Breakfast has so many choices , I think my husband worked his way through the menu during our week's stay and everything was delicious, great portion sizes you never leave hungry. We didn't want to leave and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Torquay now we've found The Elmdene . Worth every penny

Elmdene is well situated for the Riviera Conference centre and the sea front, within easy walking distance. The rooms are equipped to a level far better than four star and it is clear that a great deal of thought has been given to what you may need. Cleanliness is at the same high standard. Many a hotel could lean from the Elmdene. Kim and Trevor clearly work hard to make your stay everything you would wish and they even greet every guest by their first name. I always like a good breakfast to start the day when I am away from home and the quality of the food is excellent and you won’t go hungry. I would love to keep this little gem of a guest house a personal secret but that would be too selfish and Kim & Trevor definitely deserve high praise for their excellence.

This is our 2nd visit to The Elmdene and we will definitely be back again. We wouldnt look for anywhere else in Torquay. It is a beautiful guesthouse, the rooms are decorated and furnished to a very high standard, everything is good quality. The guesthouse is spotless and very comfortable. The breakfasts are lovely with lots of choice.   It is in a safe area, with lots of green space around, near to the train station. The seafront is a pleasant 10 minute walk away. Kim and Trevor are fantastic hosts, you feel at home as soon as you arrive. They are so welcoming and friendly. Thank you both for your hospitality, looking forward to another visit soon.
