I originally wanted to stop by and stay there. I looked at the map and saw that it was on the road to Zermatt. I never thought it was in the mountains. It took us more than ten kilometers of climbing to get there. The surrounding environment of the hotel is good, and you can see the snowy mountains of the Alps from the balcony. The boss is also very enthusiastic. If you want to go there to play and ski, it is a good choice.

Ein tolles Hotel in in absoluter ruhiger Lage. Rundum ein toller Ausblick über die Bergwelt. Ein Traum zum entspannen. Chef und Personal einfach unendlich nett und zuvorkommend. Zimmer mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Wir waren mit den Motorrädern unterwegs und man hat uns direkt eine Garage zum einstellen zur Verfügung gestellt. Frühstücks mit einem Buffet sehr reichlich. Restaurant im Hotel auch sehr leckes essen. Wir kommen wieder

Very nice little hotel. Owner and staff more than welcoming. Very clean rooms and we who had half board really enjoyed ourselves. Breakfast also great. And all this in a magnificent region.

The service and the food were great... The rooms are well and comfortably furnished. Everything really worked. The beer from Appenzell made us feel even more at home. Mr. Zenhäuser uses all products from the region and Switzerland!

Höchst mittelmässiges Restaurant ohne wirkliche Highlights auf der Karte. Dazu ein leicht gestresst wirkender Service. Wir mussten dreimal nachfragen, bis alle Kinder eine Portion Ketchup & Mayo erhielten. Die unfreundliche Chefin musste dazu genau vor unserem Tisch mit drei kleinen Kindern, während wir am Essen waren, eine Rauchpause abhalten. Absolutes No-Go!

wir waren im Januar 2022 zum Essen dort und schwer enttäuscht. Das Service-Personal machte was es sollte, aber lustlos und ohne Engagement. Das Steak war lauwarm mit einem gefroreren Stück Kräuterbutter obendrauf, garniert mit labbrigen Salaten sowie einem bereits gärenden Peperoni-Salat. Auf einen entsprechenden, wohlgemeinten Ratschlag, mal den Peperoni-Salat zu checken hiess es, der werde halt mit Essig angemacht und drum so sauer.... ja danke, als gelernter Koch kenne ich den Unterschied zwischen gärenden Speisen und Essig sehr wohl.... nie wieder.

Hier kocht der Chef persönlich regionale Gerichte auf hohem Niveau. Tolles Frühstücksbuffet, sogar Räucherlachs und Bündnerfleisch werden zur ohnehin schon reichlichen Auswahl angeboten. Nettes und aufmerksames Servierpersonal steigern den Wohlfühleffekt. Der neue Wellnessbereich ist sehr ansprechend und die renovierten, ruhigen Zimmer mit toller Aussicht auf die Berge machen Lust auf ein Wiederkommen. Das Alles zu einem tollen Preis-Leistungsverhältniss.
