Hotels near Hondo, Wakayama

I chose it because there is a large hot spring bath. It is close to Wakayama Station and there is a station behind the hotel, so it is convenient because you can enter and exit even in the early morning. Above all, it was good to be able to heal the fatigue in the hot spring. It was small and there were few washrooms, but there were no other users and I was able to relax in a state of occupying one person. The room was clean and even in the double room, there was a space to spread the luggage, so I was able to spend a comfortable time. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

This is a well-facilitated hotel with very friendly and helpful room services delivered by the polite staff members. The hotel lobby is very clean with rich color of heritage and indigenous cultures. The nearby shopping and dining restaurants provide delicious and tasteful food. I would like to consume the hotel services again when returning to this wonderful town.

Close to JR Wakayama station, whilst not on the most exciting side, there's still plenty of food options for dinner. The hotel is what you would expect from the Toyoko Inn chain if you've ever stayed with them before: efficient check in, good service, small but clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast is the usual basic Japanese fare with toast as a Western option, with limited seating. They strangely seemed to be lacking knives, so other hotel guests as well as myself were using forks, spoons and chopsticks to try and spread the jam on the toast! A well priced hotel which gives me the basics I need for a good night's rest.

Simple hotel but super convenient, close to JR train station and there are many eateries nearby. The hotel even includes a complimentary buffet breakfast, nothing fancy but just a nice touch to start your day. Room is proper and clean. Note that the train station nearby is JR Wakayama station and not Wakayama-shi (Wakayama city) station on the private train line. I made a mistake myself and had to get here by another train ride. This is a very pleasant town. If you have time, take the JR line to Kishi station (貴志駅) to see its famous cat manager Tama.

It's a little far from JR Wakayama station. A little. I thought it was just a walk, but it didn't take long enough. The exterior of the red brick is a little tired, but the semi-double room has been beautifully renewed. Bathroom is old. There are old places here and there. The employees were also in a good mood. That's all there is for a luxury hotel, so... There is no problem with the amenities, and the con in the hotel The vinyl is a little lonely, but it's the bare minimum. Because I arrived in Wakayama around 12 o'clock, I planned to store my luggage first after lunch. It takes about three to five minutes to walk from Wakayama City Station to the hotel. The female receptionist was very good and polite. There is no need to store my luggage in the lobby. You can check in as early as 1 pm. The next morning, the breakfast period is from 6:30 to 9:00. We arrived at the restaurant at 08:38 and most of the food had already been collected. The two aunts were making hot spicy rice balls themselves and waiting for the ingredients. The food is simple, but it feels so warm and delicious. Please note that in winter there is only heating supply, so you can open the window zzz at night, and everything else is fine.

It's very close to the station, and it's very convenient to travel. The room rate is so cheap and includes breakfast, what else do you need a bicycle? There is also a lady who can speak Chinese in the hotel, which is super good👍🏻

Directly connected to Wakayama Station. Because it was in front of the station, there was a CVS and so on. It was on the upper floor of ”Kino Wakayama” in the station building and dinner was done there. The building was clean and the bath was very comfortable with a view of the Kino River. There was also a menu with breakfast and it was delicious. However, it was a few dissatisfaction points that made the evaluation ”normal”. It is mainly a part of hospitality, not hard. First of all, I was guided to breakfast at check-in. Because it was a Bon Festival time, there was a paste that the breakfast time was early in the elevator, but it was guided at the front desk at the usual time. Under the corona, the locker of the bath was pulled out, but when the locker without the key was opened and asked the front desk whether it was possible to use it, it was answered that it did not get the point. When I used it for family ３ people and asked the front desk for breakfast tickets without a number of people and confirmed that it was okay and went to the breakfast venue, I was told that ”the breakfast ticket is not enough １ pieces”. I thought that the front desk was on the upper floor and it was surprising to go up to the upper floor once when I checked out. As a concept of the whole Candeo Hotels, it is called ”unique ４ stars”, but it has somehow lacking impression that it does not become ５ stars. It seems that there is a chain hotel nationwide, but what about ... It is a hotel that does not come to the top of the choice.

This ryokan is located in front of the Osaka Bay in the small bourgeoisie of Kada, 100 mts from the very beautiful sanctuary of Awashima-Jinja and 400 mts from the shipper for Tomogashima. A ship is made available by ryokan to travel to Kada station (Nankai line) to go and come to Wakayama city. The Japanese style rooms (tatamis on the ground, futons and hyper moulded couettes) are very spacious with a loggia with a XLL view of the sea and the Tomogashima and Jinoshima islands, especially for the sea side rooms. The dinner and breakfast, as well as the Japanese as it is due in a ryokan (traditional Japanese hostel), are a real pleasure for eyes and papillae. The service is courteous and careful, the charm of the atmosphere slightly over the year of the places operates. And of course, the onsen (Japanese public bath with hot source) indispensable for any person staying in the hotel is great with impressive view of the sea !!! It is a budget, but the situation, quality of service, the map proposed and the sense of investment is justified.

Standard Japanese business hotel, albeit with an onsen and newer than most. Breakfast is adequate, with western coffee on offer. Location is not central, but within 10-15 minutes walking distance to Shimo-Isaka station, restaurants, and a supermarket. Not exactly geared towards non-Japanese travelers, since the staff hardly speaks English and the hotel information given is only in Japanese. Extremely satisfied with it considering the affordable room rate.
