Heart of Wildwood Motel

Terrible. This was our 3rd consecutive year staying here. Paid over $4,300 for the week for my family. Roof top pool was closed again. Main pool was green & filthy. I was told several times that it was fine which was obviously a lie. After complaining about the pool numerous times we were finally told that there was a problem several weeks ago with a pipe bursting that affected the entire town. Funny thing is every other hotel pool in town was blue and clear except this one. The third much smaller pool they have was blue but, very cold. I was told that pool was blue because it was a "fiber optic" pool. What? They just kept lying about it all week until the health department actually came out and closed the pool. They even went so far as to post a sign overtop of the health department closure sign to try to hide it! After that they finally had a professional pool company come out to fix it. Within 1 day the water was blue and clean again. Unfortunately that was the day we were leaving. The owners need to start putting some money back into this place. It's falling apart. Even the staff complains about the conditions. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Direct TV was not working. Rooms are not clean. Shower drain was almost completely clogged. Even the air filter for the AC was filthy and clogged. When we checked in the AC in our room had been turned off and the windows were partially open. It was like 82 degrees in our room. Even the refrigerator was turned to low and was not even cool. There doesn't seem to be any thought put into the overall condition of the property or the guests satisfaction and comfort, just profits. The location of this hotel is amazing but, I just can't overlook these failures anymore. We've had many issues in the 3 years we've been coming here but, this year was the final straw. The amount of money it costs to stay here is just no longer worth all the issues and problems. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else that hopefully values your business.

We stayed in late July with our friends who had two different room styles. I just love Building 2. The place was kept immaculately clean and housekeeping and all staff i met were so accommodating and friendly. I had daily maid service and the two Thai students were so amazing. We had Building 2 pool and pool across the road which was nice to switch things up a bit for the kids. BBQ grills by the pool and we just sat swam and barbecued. This is our new favorite spot right at the boardwalk.

Stayed at this hotel over the weekend and it was great. Exceeded our expectations and loved the location . It was steps away from the boardwalk and beach. The rooftop view was AMAZING !! The owner Anjita was extremely nice and went out of her way to make us feel like family.

Clean accommodations, very friendly staff! Love the high top balcony with view of boardwalk and ocean!!! My new Favorite Place! Easy booking and they really try to accommodate your needs. Great functional kitchenette. Woke up to see the ocean even though not oceanfront! Bonus!

What a lovely stay for our 1st time in Wildwood. Location was perfect even in the off season we found wonderful holiday activities. We loved the convenience to Cape May as well. This is something I would normally not book, but so glad we did. Room was clean and the staff was exceptional, especially the receptionist. They even gave us a little gift as we were celebrating a birthday.

This motel was not as advertised. The floor plan didn't reflect what was actually in the room. Shower was dirty, showerhead was loose, soap from the previous guest was still on top of the shower, the window leaked because of Tropical Storm Ophelia, and the toilet leaked. Speaking of Tropical Storm Ophelia, we tried to cancel because of not feeling safe going down because of the storm but was told we couldn't cancel without a refund so we went down. Luckily the storm wasn't as bad as we thought. Plus we were getting down there late and was told someone will be in the office until 10pm but we got there before 10pm and nobody was there. Had to call the number and wait in the wind for 10 minutes. We were also going to pay in cash when we got there but to find out that they ran my card without my permission to train someone. I will not stay at this so called Motel ever again!

I spent $796 to book two nights at this hotel from 8/23 to 8/25. My entire family got bit by bed bugs all over our bodies. We reported it to the hotel front desk, who gave us a cream for the bug bites. The beds were filthy and small. After checking out, we had to see a doctor because of the extreme itching and redness from the bed bug bites. Management doesn't want to deal with this issue. We had to wash and dry everything once we got home to ensure we didn't bring bugs home. This is a horrible hotel like nothing I’ve ever had to deal with before.

Hotel wouldn’t let me cancel and also told me I wouldn’t get charged for the booking or the cancellation fee. Booking price ended up going through and I couldn’t get my money back. This place was horrible and did not help me with anything.

I would like to thank the young lady at the front desk that made it possible for my family vacation to be saved. She was so helpful and went above and beyond for us. Long story short we had to relocate to this hotel due to the original hotel I had chosen ended up being inhabitable. We enjoyed our stay here and the vicinity was fairly clean. Our room was clean and Acs worked pretty good. With this being a last minute switch of hotels for us, it worked out great. The location is right on the boardwalk. We did end up losing power but that wasn’t the hotels fault it and it came back up within a hour.. although still scary.
