Mercure Hotel Wuerzburg am Mainufer

We spent 2 nights in this very nice hotel, which was easy to reach by public transport (tram from central station + short walk). The hotel was also just a short (5min) walk away from the old bridge and the historical center of Wurzburg. We were given a very nice corner room, which had extra space, including a sitting area. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet. The view from our room was not that great (overlooking some courtyard area) and we could not see the river, but if we would have been on the river side we probably would have heard more of the traffic. Staff at the hotel were all very friendly, helpful and professional. Also the breakfast was pretty nice with a good selection of hot and cold foods and drinks, including some local specialties. We would certainly consider staying here again, if we can get a room for a reasonable price.

The best affordable hotel experience in Germany. Clean and tidy, good service, the room is big, and there is almost no noise when living opposite the elevator. The capsule coffee machine was also clean, and water and coffee were provided.

Clean, good location, quiet, rooms are modern, mattrass is ok But overpriced for what the room is, long check in despite the fact that we checked in online before, pillows of bad quality, not friendly staff. For the room price one would expect better amenities in the room, like a water boiler

Wurzburg City Center
LuVi Portland, Portland, OR, >400 reviews, usually mis-identified by Tripadvisor: The parking situation is important in this cobbled city with limited spots close to this hotel. Had we any idea of the difficulty, we would have planned far in advance or, more likely, selected a different property. Hotel staff work very hard, and the result is a very clean, well run hotel, with everything you need, given that it is three-star lodging. In other words, you can expect a small shower stall (but strong, hot water), only the necessary towels, and one extra large, fluffy pillow. For the hotel's size size, breakfast is decent, and there is unlimited coffee which does not compensate for there being no coffee in the guest room. Six of us traveled together, and the breakfast area is not set up for room to spare at busy hours. At the front desk, staff worked hard to answer questions, indicating directions on their maps, and making worthwhile suggestions. This is not a fancy hotel. But were we to come here again without a vehicle, we would stay here again. With a vehicle, we would speak with the hotel first to assure that they would have a spot for us.
Moxy Wuerzburg

What a great little hotel! I stayed here for 5 nights in October. My room was good for a single person. It might be a tighter fit for 2. My room was tiny. The bed was quite comfortable, considering others I've slept on in Germany. The pillows were pretty good. a full length mirror, a TV, and a wire rack to hang clothes. I was OK with it because I didn't want to hang out in my room. No coffee maker, no refrigerator. My room was very quiet. The bathroom is one of those that has a shower in the corner. Not a separate shower. The floor gets wet no matter how you hard you try. The curtain just isn't big enough. Another annoyance. The bathroom light was on automatic, so if you rose in the middle of the night to use it (jet lag anyone)? the light turns on automatically super bright, like those at a football stadium. It's hard to resume sleep after that. Breakfast was included and it was a pretty good selection. The usual Euro fare, meats, cheese, etc. lots of bread, eggs, bacon, and a wide selection of cereals. There is a bar there, though small and they will cook a decent burger or quick food upon request. The Hotel is very new and clean. A younger crowd stays there, but it's not uncomfortable if you're older. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. They spoke English well and I heard other languages also. It is within walking distance of the Old Town although its a longer walk so be prepared. Lots of restaurants and other things to do and see are also within walking distance. Wurzburg is a beautiful city and you could do a lot worse than the Moxy.

We selected this hotel because it is near the uniclinical clinic. It is only 15 minutes walking distance. A parking place in front of the house and a super bus connection to the city. We will certainly come back to this hotel.
