The whole hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious and new, and it is about a 5-minute walk from JR Echigo Yuzawa Station.
The enthusiasm of the staff is just right.
All the meals use local ingredients, and there are various introduction pictures drawn by the staff.
It happened to be my mother's birthday during my stay, and the hotel wrote a greeting card and gave her a bottle of sake.
The hot springs will be exchanged between men and women according to the time. I personally think that the scenery of the men's hot springs at night is better.
The staff will remember the last name of every guest who stays in, which may be the advantage of a small hotel. I had a good chat with a Japanese sister while taking a hot spring bath. When I met her in the corridor the next day, I also chatted. When I checked out, the staff asked if I was friends with Ms. XX. There was such a small episode.

Very nice place to stay! Quiet during the spring/summer period due to the area being more popular in winter. Very near Echigo Yuzawa Station within 5min walk. Was welcomed into the hotel nicely with complimentary matcha and snack. Upon check in there was even a cute Gachapon game in which you could win one of their special Niigata/Yuzawa stuff! I won a small pack of Niigata rice.
Room was clean and spacious with a comfy futon bed. The public baths were so nice and well maintained! The staff here are very friendly and attentive. If you did not reserve their special dinner/breakfast set, you can still do say with 2 days advanced order over the front desk. I also love that they provide free shuttle to the station at check out upon request! Definitely staying here again if ever back in the area 🫶🏼
