Copenhagen was once chosen by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme as the "most livable city in the world"

Copenhagen (Danish: København; English: Copenhagen) is the capital, largest city, and largest port of the Kingdom of Denmark, as well as the political, economic, cultural, and transportation center of Denmark, and a world-renowned international metropolis. Copenhagen is located in the eastern part of Zealand Island, Denmark, facing Malmö, the third largest city in Sweden, across the Øresund Strait. Copenhagen was once chosen by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme as the "most livable city in the world", and was given the evaluation of "best design city". Copenhagen is also one of the happiest cities in the world. Most of Denmark's important food, shipbuilding, machinery, electronics and other industries are concentrated here, and many important international conferences are held here. Copenhagen is both a traditional trade and shipping center and an emerging manufacturing city. One third of the country's factories are built in the Greater Copenhagen area. Copenhagen is beautiful and tidy. The emerging large industrial enterprises in the city and the ancient buildings from the Middle Ages reflect each other, making it both a modern city and a city with ancient charm. It is a world-renowned historical and cultural city. The Danish symbol, the Little Mermaid statue, quietly contemplates by the sea. The fairy-tale-like ancient castles and palaces are located in this city, old and magical, art and modern.

The Little Mermaid

Came to Copenhagen to explore and catch the ferry to Oslo ! I wanted a cheaper place to stay than the centre of Copenhagen so I stayed at the hotel cabinn metro on the outskirts of the city, I had a great time the hotel was affordable and the staff friendly ,nice clean room too! The hotel was situated yards from an amazing shopping mall with numerous bars , restaurants and shops and also a train and subway station with regular trains into Copenhagen itself which took 10 minutes. I had a few touristy things I wanted to do while visiting and was only here a few days… I walked along the waterside and seen the little mermaid a bronze statue by Edvard Eriksen depicting a mermaid becoming human , it was busy with tourists in the day so I would recommend going earlier to avoid the crowds ! Another place I would recommend visiting was the national museum of Denmark it’s prob one of the best museums I’ve been too , especially the exhibit named the RAID ! where you join the vikings on an adventurous journey with denmarks largest collection of treasures from the Viking age , it was awesome ! Lastly I wanted a view of Copenhagen so I scaled the rundetaarn a 17th century round tower with great views over the city ! costs about £3 can get very busy again even out of season but definitely worth a look …..
