My one night stay was very pleasant. The air conditioning worked very well. The environment of the selina was festive and the staff was friendly. The ascetic was really interesting.
Victoria Hotel and Suites Panama

This hotel is located on a quiet street within the center of El Cangrejo. A good laundry is next door, with Rey's large grocery, dining, and other stores within a walkable half mile. The 9 floor building offers a small roof top pool with a view, a clean gym with cardio equipment and dumbbells on the 8th floor, parking garage on the 3rd floor, restaurant on the 2nd floor, and attractive 1st floor lobby with a 24/7 front desk. I found the English speaking front desk staff extremely professional, friendly, and helpful in a variety of contacts and matters. The maids, though lacking English, were equally good staff. Mask wearing was required and prevalent throughout the building, as well as outside on the sidewalks and businesses. Booking.com gave me a free upgrade to an executive room that actually consisted of 2 large rooms and an unusually huge bathroom. My 8th floor room offered an open city view, wall sized windows, and good ambient light. It was modern, clean, bug free, comfortably furnished, and reasonably supplied with bed pillows, bath toiletries, iron, board, coffee maker, and small fridge. The AC and TV worked well, with some English channels being included in the cable lineup. Besides aging furniture, this hotel has problems lowering the rating from what could and should be a 5 star place. First, my connecting room door (not requested) offered little sound proofing from the adjacent loud family. Second, the rolling bed was a stupid inconvenience every evening when leaning back to watch TV. Third, my room had at least 6 maintenance issues - all small but a sign of neglect. Fourth, the bathroom lacked a hair dryer which any nice hotel should have. Fifth, and most significantly, was the poor wifi that plagued my room for the entire 6 night stay. It was weak at best and would lose signal multiple times throughout the day for minutes at a time. No place in the room worked better, and the service tec did nothing to solve the problem. In fact, he advised that the router was 2 rooms down, disappeared, and never returned. Perhaps some rooms do better than others, but this critical amenity's failure for my stay would prevent me from returning. This is a nice hotel in a good location with a great staff, but its poor wifi alone should cause pause for anyone really needing reliable service. For more money, the Best Western Plus is definitely a better prospect; and for comparable money, smaller windows, and a lesser view, the nearby Coral Suites offers nice rooms with a kitchen and consistently higher review ratings.

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights in December and we booked our rooms using booking.com. As a travel agent I know that direct bookings are always better but the rate found on booking.com was much better. When we got there, the reception staff (Clarence I believe his name was) did not want to honor our room, stating that even though there was no way our room description said ”bay view” because those rooms arent offered on booking. com so I pulled up my reservation and showed him exactly what the description of the room we paid for was, a Sea view. He was very argumentative and his lack of professionalism was even noticeable on the way he dressed. I really didnt even think he was the receptionist, I though he was maybe doing some repair or something behind the desk. After a few minutes back and forth, we finally got our sea view room which to my surprise it was very clean and spacious. The decor was nice and modern, it looks like they invested money on updating the rooms and hallways but the hotel itself needs a lot of work. This hotel was built in the 60s and it shows! the a/c units look rusty and moldy on the outside, the restaurant decor looks so old and the pool deck, although nice, it could use a little TLC. Overall it was an ok stay, I wouldnt stay there again despite its good location.
Best Western El Dorado Panama Hotel

This hotel I have recommended to a friend of mine. I am happy my friend was satisfied. I think the price is good and the area. If you want to save money and still be in the city I believe this place is good for the price. It is very clean They have a friday next door. It is very close by from Albrook and Dorado Mall It is very easy to get an uber or taxi. You can even walks to coffee stores and some restaurant.
Aloft Panama

Enjoyed our stay at the Aloft Panama! The hotel offers a great value for the price. The hotel is clean and the beds and rooms are comfortable. The location was great as well. The Multiplaza Mall is within walking distance “less than a mile away”. An Uber to Casco Viejo was less than $5. You also have direct indoor access to the Sheraton Grand next door, which has a 24 hour Pasteleria. Would definitely stay again.

The Room - The queen-sized bed was luxurious, the pillows were comfortable, the rain shower in the bathroom was refreshing, the air conditioning was cold. The room also had a large closet with drawers, a TV with remote, a desk and two chairs, and the room was VERY clean. The WIFI was free, strong and very useful to me! They also have an in-room safe for your valuables, a pool and their own parking garage but I did not use them. The Metro Stop at Via Argentina is close by. I had a beautiful view of the city from my 5th floor window where I could enjoy the rain storms and the city lights at night. The Staff and Surroundings - I felt VERY safe! The staff answered questions, ordered taxis for me (until my Uber App started working) and was welcoming and accommodating. Cesar Ramirez especially (I believe he is the front desk manager) spoke English and was so very helpful to me!! EXCELLENT STAFF - EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! They also spent time with a taxi driver helping him to understand that I wanted him to take me one place, wait for me to finish, then take me to my final destination--the trip was a success! The mini market next door is super convenient (with American items and pricing). The Tsugoi Restaurant next door was a treat for me. Sushi and Yakisoba! YUM!! If you want all the amenities of a 5-star resort, you might not find them in the room: an alarm clock (you have one on your cell phone), complimentary shampoo and conditioner (just buy or bring your own), a coffee maker (I think the mini market next door has some--it's Panama, go on a coffee adventure and try some of the best coffee in the world)

1) First 3 nights, pool was closed for renovation. Reception said ”No pool available”. Only this, I thought, the pool was completely closed. On the forth day, I saw, guests were swimming. I asked the reception. ”Yes, you can swim”. Why the reception could not inform us only 3 days closed? 2) No towel after cleaning. Also first 3 nights. I thought that the clean team forgot to leave it, but it was not forgetting, but not ready. Towels were delivered around 19:00 first 3 nights. I called the reception every night and they said ”We inform the responsible staff” and waited for hours. Why reception didn't answer ”Towels will be delivered around 19:00 today” or advised us for delay delivering in advance? Then I didn't have to call the reception every day. Anyway, I had to wait to take shower till 19:00. Outside was 30degrees, and I wanted to take a shower immediately. 3) Weak WIFI. WIFI at Reception was with 96 Mbps, however, room at the door was 14 Mbps and at bed, no signal anymore. At desk also 2 Mbps or no signal. It's impossible to watch streaming like Netflix or web meeting. Also no smart TV. 4) My room card key was invalided every day. I had to go to the reception after back to the hotel (Elevator works with valid room card key). If no guests are at the reception, it takes soon, but one day, big group was there, and I had to wait more than 10min or more. I had a take away food, and it was no more warm when I was back to the room. 5) They asked me an advance payment even flex rate booking. They need cash? 6) No refrigerator in a room.

The location is average, with parking spaces and a swimming pool. The air conditioner in the room is a window unit, and the cooling effect is average. The shower water is quite big. It is also convenient to eat around. There is a Chinese supermarket opposite that allows shopping.
