Shanghai Villas

The front desk staff were friendly and kind. My room had a window facing a wall of the building next door, which isn't pleasant for a one-week stay but I wasn't there too often. The cleaning staff were also friendly and attentive and the room was cleaned daily. The big and soft butterscotch cat is a great addition to any hotel and the cafe out front is very popular. The setting overall is lovely. I didn't eat at the hotel but there are several cafes and restaurants nearby and the neighbourhood is great for exploring on foot or by bicycle.

As a hotel transformed from a historic old house, the tonality of the hotel building itself and the courtyard scenery of the building are very beautiful! The room with a large balcony on the second floor is so retro and gorgeous when I open the door. It feels more beautiful than the one I stayed in Europe. The room is very large, the bathroom is also very large and beautiful, and it is very comfortable to take a bath. The scenery looking out of the balcony, at some moments, I really have the illusion that I am the owner here. It is very quiet and comfortable both during the day and at night. Of course, there will be some problems caused by the old house, such as the air conditioner in the old house is a bit loud in the summer, but apart from this, I think the flaws do not outweigh the merits, and staying here will be an amazing experience!

I can't leave Shanghai, so I can only go to the suburbs with my friends on weekends. The swimming pool of this B&B is nice and relatively large, and the room is clean. It's just that the alley is a bit small and difficult to find. I stayed in three room types. The parent-child room is good and worth recommending. The tatami room is too small.

The first hotel we stayed in was Disney-themed, and we were full of expectations, but the room smelled a little damp. After staying for one night, I couldn't wait to change a hotel the next day. After searching on my phone, I accidentally saw the red house across the river. I immediately contacted the housekeeper of Xianshe. I thought about it and came to check it out first. After all, it was not far away, and I was afraid of stepping on the pit again. I contacted the housekeeper by phone. He was very enthusiastic. I added WeChat, sent the location, and walked over. The morning aunt (this aunt, we were super satisfied with the breakfast for the next two days. The aunt prepared all kinds of nutritious breakfasts suitable for two little babies. I really like it) Aunt took me to see the guest room. As soon as I entered the room, it was very refreshing. There was no dampness in the air in the south. We stayed in Suite 8 on the first floor. It was very nice and spacious. There was a living room and 2 bedrooms. The children had a place to play. It was very suitable and had enough light. I decisively contacted the housekeeper to book 2 nights. During the stay, the breakfast was very good and the service was very thoughtful. Although we encountered some minor accidents, they were responded to and resolved in a timely manner. We were also given a small compensation plan before checking out. It was very considerate and a Disney Treasure B&B worth recommending.

I can dare say that it’s better than 5-star hotels—they are very present, attentive, patient, enthusiastic and helpful. As someone who barely speaks mandarin and travelling to China for the first time, they really took the effort and time to connect and made sure that we were not lost or confused. For the first time in a long time, I feel like the service staff genuinely care about their guests. The place itself is comfortable—hot water to shower, aircon that works well to fight the heat, daily housekeeping and basic amenities provided. Location is perfect if you are planning to visit Disneyland. To the main city, it’s not that close, but bearable and affordable by taxi. Convenient stores and supermarket is about half an hour by walk. But you can always order in food and drinks on their local app (you can ask the staff to help you if you’re unsure)… there are plenty of options. Some vegetarian too. And if you are ever feeling lonely, there are two residential cats in the main lobby area to keep you company. 🙂 Overall, I would recommend this place to people who are planning to visit Shanghai Disneyland. It’s a gem! Cute architecture too.

I booked two rooms online. When I checked in, I was told that the room was leaking and upgraded the room type: Jiujuyi. The location is not together, driving past is a small white building, the two rooms on the second floor are sloping roofs, and there is a Japanese room in the middle.
