We’re a family of 4, staying 9 nights at the Pullman Tamachi in 2 adjoining rooms. Our experience of the hotel and in particular staff was exceptional. We were generously granted early check in and a very late check out (possibly helped by my Diamond All.Accor status) which made our day of arrival and departure that more easy to manage. Thank you Jakapun (Director of rooms) The rooms were generous in size, very well appointed and laid out. The breakfast in the main restaurant was great with a nice variety of options. Staff were attentive and food was replenished as needed. The location was perfect for us, metres from the main train line linking the busiest stations, yet far way from the hustle to offer a much-needed sanctuary, highlighted by the roof top garden, terrace and executive lounge. Biggest praise goes to the staff of the executive lounge, led by Jordan and Masa and their great support staff. I have yet to see staff anywhere in the world offer the levels of service they all provided during our stay. From asking questions about what we like and had in mind, to offering options, making reservations and sending frequent emails with listed itinerary and instructions, they made our experience in Tokyo a memorable one for my family. Their attention to detail, enthusiasm and pleasure in hearing we had a great day based on their recommendations, made the difference. The hotel is very fortunate to have staff like you all. My family and I truly thank you for your exceptional service and memorable holiday experience. Looking forward to returning in the near future.

The location of the hotel is good, it's near the metro and JR, the Ameyoko market is also nearby so it's very convenient. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is delicious, however, if you intent to stay for many days the main course may get a little boring since the options are the same each day. One of the downsides of the hotel is that there are not a lot of light bulbs in the room, making the room dim.

Aman Tokyo

Hotel near Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi,Tokyo 3.1% of visitors choose this area
An exclusive sanctuary high above Japans cosmopolitan capital Aman Tokyo is Amans first urban concept hotel situated adjacent to the Otemachi Forest. Offering birds eye views of the Imperial Palace Gardens and surrounding Tokyo landmarks the hotel features a serene Aman Spa and a peaceful inner garden. Surrounded by engawa a wooden feature dividing the inside and out the soaring lobby rises nearly 30 metres. Aman Tokyo is a monument to the modern-day Japanese capital - a place where urban dynamism is tempered with serenity. Perched above the Tokyo skyline the private dining room and boardroom are perfect for both on- and off-duty occasions.

GGuest User 2023.07.07
Aman Tokyo sets a new standard for exceptional hard products. Despite a mishap on our first night when we returned from dinner to find our room uncleaned, the front desk manager promptly apologized and offered complimentary drinks. The head of housekeeping also personally apologized at breakfast and showered us with thoughtful gestures like a fruit platter and free laundry. Subsequently, our stay was faultless. Aman Tokyo also boasts stunning design and architecture and a strategic location near Otemachi station, Tokyo station, the Imperial Palace, and Ginza. Its awe-inspiring atrium leaves a lasting impression. The generously sized rooms, starting at 70 square meters, feature high ceilings throughout, with unforgettable views of the imperial gardens from the bed. Even the retractable TV showcases its thoughtful design, providing guests with an unobstructed view of the Tokyo skyline. The hotel's farewell was equally remarkable. Providing a complimentary hotel car transfer to Tokyo station, while being escorted by another staff member who went the extra mile to purchase our tickets, carry our luggage to the platform, store our luggage on the train and brought us to our seats. Undoubtedly, this luxury at Aman Tokyo comes at a price. However, delivers the sought-after wow factor for which its rates command. After all, Tokyo is one of the most expensive cities in the world. From the grand lobby to the inviting pool and spacious rooms, the hotel impresses on many levels. Managing expectations is, however, key. It would be unrealistic to expect the usual Aman-type of service commonly associated with their other properties whose room counts are a lot smaller. While the initial mishap was regrettable, the subsequent personalized attention and meticulous service surpassed expectations for a city hotel with 80 rooms. Whether this was due to the initial mishap or reflective of their usual standards remains unknown, warranting another stay on my next visit to Tokyo.

GGuest User 2023.04.23
We wanted a hotel right next to Tokyo Station as we were traveling by Shinkansen, and it doesn't get much closer than this. Like many modern hotels in Tokyo located in office towers, the actual lobby isn't on the ground level. This was a little annoying but it is what it is. Our room was spacious as expected, with views of Nihonbashi and the east side. Plenty of room to open up our big suitcases. The chaise longue next to the windows was a comfortable place to spend time on. The bathroom had a large wet room, equipped with a rainshower next to the bath tub. The glass wall meant that one could be in the bathroom and look out not only at the room, but at the rest of Tokyo if curtains were drawn. My main complaint was the shortage of TV channels with English or non-Japanese broadcast. We stayed in local Japanese hotels where they offered more international programming, so why didn't Shangri-La?! Service was otherwise fine, with check-out available via the Shangri-La app on one's mobile phone.

This review will be hard to write, it's a very nice hotel but I also find it hard to recommend to tourists. Room: The Tokyo Tower view room is very pretty at night. The bed is comfy. I don't like having the closet on the opposite end of the sleeping area though, I find that very inconvenient when packing/getting ready. And for a hotel that opened in 2016, that TV is tiny and needs to be larger. The Aesop products are nice, and come in big bottles with pumps (which I prefer over tiny bottles). They also have the coolest slippers! Service: Concierge helped me reserve dinner, and had confirmation letter ready at check-in. Check-in/out was fast and easy. They offer free HH in lounge, I was pleasantly surprised to find live performance! Food offering during HH is pretty basic, but that's ok because I'd rather be eating in the city anyways. Evening turndown service could be enhanced a bit, may need to borrow a page from your colleagues at Grand Hyatt ;) Location: This is the one thing that truly sucks about this place for tourists. Toranomon Hills is a very business-heavy area, a ghost town after 6 p.m. There's no department stores, no shopping, only two convenience stores nearby, barely any dining options after 9 p.m. To do anything you'll need to get on a subway/taxi from hotel. The walk to the subway station is frankly a little longer than I like, but it's indoor underground which is nice for cold and rainy days. Overall, I would recommend a stay here if you're on a work trip and your office is in the area. Or you just have to check this place off your bucket list because of its design or the room with Tokyo Tower view. As a typical tourist in Tokyo who values convenience and accessibility to restaurants and shopping, I probably won't be back. It's a shame because this place has so much potential if it was in a better area, but I guess you can't have it all!

GGuest UserService at Section L Hamamatsucho was adequate, friendly but not overly attentive. While the decor is on the simple side, the functionality makes up for it. The rooms are apartments rather than hotel rooms, which means they come with kitchenettes and even washers and dryers – a big plus for longer stays or those who like to prepare their own meals. Location-wise, Section L shines. It's a short walk from Daimon Station, putting you on the train network for easy access to all of Tokyo. Plus, the iconic Tokyo Tower is practically next door! This makes it a great choice for sightseeing adventures. Pros: Excellent Location: Close to Daimon Station and Tokyo Tower, perfect for exploring Tokyo. Apartments, not Rooms: Kitchenettes and laundry facilities provide flexibility, especially for extended stays. Practical Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with cable, and basic toiletries are all included. Cons: Simple Decor: Don't expect luxury finishes, but the space is clean and functional. Limited Service: Staff is friendly but service is basic, with no on-site restaurant or spa amenities. Overall, Section L Hamamatsucho is a good option for budget-minded travelers who prioritize location and functionality over extensive hotel services. If you're looking for a comfortable base to explore Tokyo and appreciate having laundry facilities and a kitchenette, this could be a great fit.

GGuest UserStaying in a hotel is a common accommodation option for both tourism and business trips. I believe that there are many benefits to staying in a hotel. Firstly, hotels provide a safe and comfortable living environment. Hotels usually have professional security personnel and safety facilities that can guarantee the safety of guests. In addition, hotel rooms are usually beautifully decorated, well-equipped, with comfortable beds, and guests can get enough rest and relaxation here. Secondly, hotels provide convenient services. Hotels usually have a 24-hour front desk service, and guests can contact hotel staff at any time for assistance. Hotels also offer a variety of services, such as dining, laundry, and car calling, making it convenient for guests' daily life. Lastly, staying in a hotel is also a social experience. In a hotel, guests can meet people from different places and backgrounds, exchange travel, business, and other experiences and insights, and enrich their social circles. In conclusion, staying in a hotel is a comfortable, convenient, and safe accommodation option suitable for various travel needs.

CCarcassonneGood location, about 5 to 8 minutes walk from Shinjuku gionnmae station. You can also walk (10 to 15 mins) to all the Shinjuku must go to places: golden gai, Omoide Yokocho, Ikebukuro. The hotel itself is nice and clean, and the staff was nice. It's definitely not a 5 star big hotel but it works well for short trips and it's still decently priced (for Tokyo hotel standards).

AAnonymous UserStaff were great and very friendly! They even prepared a little gift for us. :) Hotel was located really near a train station and was convenient to get around Tokyo. However the room smells really musky and odd… Even after using the air purifier and the room spray, the smell still persisted. More maintenance needs to be done for the room. Seems like the stench has been embedded into the carpet and walls…

GGuest UserVisited Tokyo for many years, this time I wanted to try out new area therefore we choose this hotel at Azabujuban. We have the room at the lowest floor, front desk said hotel room was 100% occupied therefore no chance to change. I do really like the balcony but don’t understand why there is no chair for sitting, seems that it is not designed for guests use. At around 4:45am, we were awaken by the emergency alarm. The red signal was loudly on together with a broadcasting informing us to escape immediately because of a fire. All the guests went downstairs to the street, (actually not so many, I guess within 20), after about 10 minutes we were told that we can go back to the room as there was no fire. Upon arrival at the room, shocked again by the emergency alarm, red signal was loudly on again and broadcast saying that there was no fire… after all, may be the hotel think it is normal to had false alarm in middle of the night therefore not any follow up apologize. Area is quiet and cozy, there is no shopping mall around, restaurants can be found easily anywhere. Pricewise, the hotel service level is much lower than my expectations.

GGuest UserUpon arrival, check in was a breeze. You scan your QR Code then speak to a representative on the provided iPad via Skype. Once the agent confirm you, you get your key codes for your room. The rooms provided everything we needed (Family of 4. My husband, 18 yr old son, 12 yr old daughter, and myself.) Refridge w/ freezer portion, sink, pots/ pans/ dishes/ utensils, stove top, kettle, microwave and Toaster oven. A table, couch, and Murphy bed which is pretty awesome, and 2 twin beds put together (it’s the equivalent size of a king. My daughter fell asleep on it, and all three of us was able sleep comfortably.) I appreciate the toilet room and the shower / bath room being separated. There is also a washer/ dryer machine in one. Room also comes w/ tv, safe, drawers, under the bed storage (this is where we kept our backpacks and purchases.) Lots of plugs. (They do not have 3 prong plugs, only 2.) Although it’s a “Studio” like room, the lighting is efficient (there are lights over the bed area, kitchen, dining area. This is great if you wake up 3-4a and don’t want to bother the others sleeping lol.) AC gets cold. You are very close to 7-11 and family mart. (Both about a 5 min walk.) My only complaint is, we all only had 1 pillow each lol. They give you an option to purchase additional towels if you need, but not pillows. This is not a big deal if you have less than 4 people OR only need 1 pillow lol. Overall, I will definitely be back for future trips. Minn in Kappabashi was a perfect fit for my family and made our trip comfortable. :)

LLilyllkVery friendly and helpful staffs. I stayed for 7 nights and everything in the room was perfectly fine to suit my needs, room wasn’t big but wise sized and cozy enough for me as a solo traveler. Excellent location easy accessible to all sightseeing spots, MRT stations are couple minutes away. Kabukicho is 5 mins walk, large amount of shops and restaurants nearby. A convenient store on G/F and you can grab food and drink easily. The only demerit is, it’s too close to Kabukicho and there’re bars right next to the hotel thus it’s always busy and crowded, you might have to pay more attention at night when walking back to hotel.

GGuest UserEverything is fine. Before that, they lived in hotels. The aLATO apartments even found a closet and kitchen. In general everything is clean and clean. But there are scratches from the TV that appear to have been dragged without breaking from the floor.
