GGuest UserI was very satisfied with my stay at Orange Hotel Crystal. I stayed here for several days this time. First, the facilities are new. The lobby is spacious and comfortable when you walk in. The restaurant is large, and the breakfast is plentiful. If you order takeout, a robot can deliver it to your room, which is very convenient. The hotel staff were very friendly; they offered welcome fruit and always greeted me. Housekeeping refilled water and drinks daily, and I could even make pour-over coffee in the room. The Crystal's tea was also delicious. The hotel's location is a bit far from Yong'anli subway station, about a ten-minute walk. There's a school downstairs, so if the window is open, you can hear the school's music bell, which is a minor drawback.

FFuxiaohuahuaThe hotel's location is superb, making it very convenient to visit the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. The decor has a lot of character, the service is attentive, and the room views are excellent. The complimentary minibar is well-stocked. Breakfast is semi-buffet style, leaning a bit Western. While the variety isn't huge, the quality is decent. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Beijing to see the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.

BBellawangbeilaThis hotel is located in the contemporary Moma community, offering a prime location that's incredibly convenient for exploring the eastern part of the area. The room size is excellent, and they were accommodating in moving me to a brighter room after I requested it. The hotel offers many hidden perks, like vouchers for a really good swimming pool and gym experience. There were also welcoming amenities (sour plum soup packets) and seasonal snacks (Qingtuan for the Qingming Festival). The room came with a humidifier, but it still felt a bit dry. Thankfully, water was delivered to the room whenever requested. The front desk is a bit hard to find, but that's probably due to its location within the community, making it less ostentatious. For parking, remember to park on B2 and follow the signs to the Manlan Hotel entrance. Collect your parking voucher from the hotel 15 minutes before you leave.

GGuest UserThis is my second time here, and it offers great value for money. Although I didn't get a room upgrade this time, the room was still sufficient and even had a fresh air system. The basic facilities and room layout were similar to my last visit. This time, I tried the breakfast, which was quite rich, offering egg tarts, fried rice, fried noodles, side dishes, soy milk, coffee, and more.

XXiaoyangkuaipaooThe Shangri-La quality is consistently excellent, and my experience at JEN Beijing New World Hotel exceeded expectations. It's in a prime location, making getting around and shopping super convenient. The view from the scenic room was stunning, overlooking the CCTV building and China Zun. The room itself was comfortable and refined, with thoughtful details (free minibar, turndown sweet treats). The '3 on 3' buffet restaurant is popular and serves great food. The huge gym and pool are a dream for fitness enthusiasts. The service was warm and attentive. The only minor downsides were that some room types are a bit small and parking is a little pricey. Overall, these are minor flaws that don't detract from the experience. Highly recommend!

SSiau YongThe hotel upgraded us to apartments in a condominium nearby. The apartments are very spacious, well equipped, secured, and clean. The location is a distance away to the city centre, but with private transport, there's no issue. Nearby the hotel there're some shops, and a row of eateries with local food and local prices. The reception desk staff especially Sunny, Tina and Rebecca are warm, helpful, and responsive. Compliments to their excellent service. The only negative point is the breakfast which is outsourced to an adjacent cafe - the variety should be improved. We took the breakfast only once, and make our own in the apartments for the rest of the stay.

ZZhongtoubuzhongFor our Chinese New Year trip to Beijing, I spent a long time looking at hotels and finally chose Artyzen Habitat near Dongzhimen. Our main reason for picking Artyzen Habitat was that we're a family of four (two adults, two kids), and after a long search, most family rooms were either too expensive, unavailable, or too far from the city's attractions. The Habitat Twin Room at Artyzen is very spacious, with two 1.4-meter beds, a small living area, a kitchenette with a dining table, and even a microwave oven, induction hob, and cutlery. It's really convenient if you want to cook for yourself. This room type is perfectly adequate for two adults and two children. The hotel's location is also super convenient. It's very close to Sanlitun, Yonghe Temple, and Ditan Park, and it's only a 20-30 minute ride to other city attractions. The subway station isn't too far either, making getting around quite easy. Opening the room window, we could even see a frozen lake in the MOMA community – a first for our Southern kids! 😄 The hotel service was pretty standard, nothing particularly special, but all our basic needs were met. They also have delivery robots, so you don't need to go downstairs to pick up your takeout, which is quite handy. On the second basement level, there's a gym with a good variety of equipment. Next to the gym is a laundry room. The hotel's amenities are quite comprehensive, making it very suitable for family trips or extended business stays.

GGuest UserQuietly nestled within the Second Ring Road! It's right next to Metro Lines 7 and 14, offering convenient access to attractions like Guomao and the Forbidden City. Plus, there are plenty of time-honored restaurants nearby. The hotel lobby features beautifully carved screens that exude an antique charm. The rooms are spacious and clean, and housekeeping is meticulous, showing great attention to detail. This hotel is perfect for both business and leisure travelers, offering excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Beijing!

EEmmakmcThe hotel felt very safe which was nice as a solo female traveler, although my experience in China as a whole has felt safe. I like that you can only access your floor if you have a room key for the given floor. Also, the large open concept makes all doors to rooms visible from any given point which also makes it feel safe. Doormen to open all doors in the lobby area which is really nice and they bring your luggage to the room. The hotel slippers are the BEST I’ve ever used, not like regular hotel slippers. Ai soft and comfortable. One thing I didn’t like was the large deposit (around $300USD) they needed for the room upon arrival, but it was fine. I’m just not used to that in China. The only downside is that some things need updating…you can tell the hotel is pretty old and with time, a hotel room can only feel so clean. Overall it was as clean as possible given it looks like it’s been a while since they have renovated. Still super clean I’m just picky! I would definitely stay here again. If you want a true “Chinese feel” while staying in Beijing this won’t be the place, but as someone living in China wanting a different feel, it was great. It felt as though I was in Europe somewhere. The concierge spoke English and were always helpful and attentive. The power outlets are older but they provided adapters. The bedside adapter was great, but the other ones in the common area and bathroom i would not use again. I plugged in my smart ring charger in the bathroom and it shorted and shocked me when touching the opposite end of the charger away from the outlet. My hand felt tingly for a few minutes but went away and I was fine. Overall my experience was very positive. I think if they did some minor renovations to modernize a bit, this hotel would be perfect.

YYuyeyoumingAfter looking at three or four hotels, I decided to stay at the Grand Millennium Beijing for my trip to Beijing, mainly because of its proximity to the subway, making it convenient for getting around. The hotel itself is quite grand, and while the service is very traditional, it gets the job done. I contacted the hotel in advance and asked the front desk to book a room on the highest floor within the same price range, with a view of the CCTV Tower. They managed to arrange all of this, which I was very pleased with. However, the hotel is a bit old-fashioned; if you order takeout, there's no robot or staff to deliver it, so you have to go down and pick it up yourself. The room itself is quite spacious and also has a traditional feel. One quirky thing is the power outlets: one nightstand has an outlet, but the other doesn't. This made it impossible to charge my phone while lying in bed, so I had to go to the supermarket the next day to buy an extension cord. Also, the power outlets are quite old-fashioned, not the new national standard, and many of them are loose. The bathroom has two showerheads, a main one and a side one. I assume the side one is for people sitting down, but one thing they might not have considered is where to put clean clothes for changing. If you put them inside, they'll get wet during the shower. If you put them outside, isn't it a bit awkward to walk out naked? The breakfast buffet at the hotel is quite good, with a wide variety of dishes. The mini hash browns, in particular, taste exactly like the ones sold at McDonald's and KFC. Finally, I want to especially thank the bespectacled housekeeper on the 24th floor. Her service was excellent, she was very polite, and the room was cleaned impeccably. She left a particularly good and warm impression. I didn't take many photos of the hotel, so consider these for reference. Also, the Hema Supermarket is about 600-700 meters west of the hotel, which is convenient for buying things.
