Victoria Hotel & Residence
"Rooms were very clean and modern. Breakfast was good. Not enough free parking"
Villars Palace
"Waiting staff is treated poorly and yelled at. Chefs turnover is high. Parking is empty. The palace is beautiful... but the hierarchy deserves to be fired. A palace is run with discipline, order and respect, not only for the customers but also for the staff."
Villars Lodge
"We recently stayed at Villars Lodge with a large group of friends and were absolutely delighted with our experience. The establishment's restaurant wowed us with its delicious cuisine and impeccable service. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the spa, where we were able to relax while enjoying breathtaking views of the magnificent surrounding landscapes. In summary, Villars Lodge is a high quality property that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable stay!"
Viu Hotel Villars
"The room is quite new and clean. The front desk is very polite and greets everyone when they come in and out, which makes people feel at home! It is very convenient to eat, drink, play and have fun! The front desk Xiaofu has a good service attitude"
Chalet la Griotte
"Beautiful environment, very like the retro style, the restaurant is available."
Chalet RoyAlp Hotel and Spa
"The hotel is elegant with lovely rooms but my visit was ruined by 2 things. 1) my IPad was unable to connect to the guest internet and no one was able to help. I was told it was ‘illegal’ for the hotels IT person to help me. Someone also mentioned there have Benn problems with Mac laptops and IPads because of some security issues. I spent hours trying to sort it out as I needed the IPad for writing…my iPhone worked but wasn’t up to editing docs. I would not recommend using this hotel if you rely on your IPad until they figure out what the problem is. Note it worked fine at the man in conference hotel (Villars Palace) and every other hotel on my trip. 2) even worse was that at the first breakfast buffet several of us got sick ( we suspect sausages) with a debilitating tummy upset that meant frequent trips to bathrooms during conference and ruined a subsequent hiking holiday. I had to go to pharmacy doc and it still isn’t ok. Sorry to be so negative as I usually give very positive reviews."
Hotel du Nord
"The hotel is located in the centre of the town, looked nice on the website, so after walking about 25km on the Via Francegina (our first day's walking), we were looking forward to relaxing there. We got there at 4.45 in the late afternoon. We had already advised in advance it would be a late arrival due to our trek. We were advised check-in was up to 7pm in the evening. So relieved we got there, we decided to go for a drink, before checking in, freshening up etc. We had just ordered drinks in the nearby bar, when I got a phone call from the receptionist, who had seen us outside the hotel, (as we discussed what to do), to say that we had to check in immediately. I explained we would be there shortly and she advised us, on no uncertain times, that we must check in immediately. So we left our drinks and did so. We tried to explain our relief at walking the 25km and to celebrate it by having a drink, but she was having none of it, and no apology for the drinks we had to leave behind. She snapped 'passports'. I tried to explain that we understood check-in was until 7 and hence we didn't know of the urgency. She simply said, that she was in the hotel all day on her own and she had to get transport home. I again reminded her that check -in was until 7 and she said 'not today'. I calmly advised again that we were not advised of the earlier check-in, and she simply snapped again about payment, with a very cross face and with no eye-contact, There was no chance to ask questions about facilities in the hotel or elsewhere. She was closing up and not only the reception but the hotel itself would not be manned for the rest of the night. We had to have a code to enter the hotel and if we forgot it, we would have to ring a number. She was cross, rude and totally unprofessional . Never have I experienced such rudeness in the hospitality sector. The room was adequate and clean but over-priced for what was provided. The carpets in the central hallways were stained and required a vacuum. The hotel is classed as a hotel, but apart from the fact that it provides breakfast in the morning, I question how it gets that category. Breakfast was a buffet and had a minimalist selection. No other services whatsoever. The only redeeming feature was that the girl assisting with the breakfast, of Sri-Lankan origin, had a lovely smile and was helpful. I noted from other reviews, that other clients had similar 'cool' experiences. A friendly welcome would have made all the difference, despite it being overpriced. I would NOT recommend staying here."
Alpe Fleurie Residence
"Charming and typical small chalet hotel. Great central location in the village. Rooms clean and simple. The reception staff, Caroline and Ana are superb, nothing is too much trouble and the information they provide is excellent."
Le Bristol A28
"Super-located apartment with wonderful view! Quickly at the hillside and if you don't want to run, take the train or bus that keeps before the house. Although the apartment has come somewhat in the years but clean. Kitchen line is enough"
