"We stayed in the hotel for one night, as part of a cycle tour through Puglia. The hotel room was decent and staff were friendly. The issue i had was that i left a kindle in the room when i checked out. I notified my tour guide who contacted the hotel immediately. The hotel claimed that an external company cleans the room and they could not get hold of them. After a day the hotel said they renumerate my loss. Having been back home for nearly 2 months, the hotel is not answering any of my communications. "

"We visited Altamura on the way from Matera to Bari and Hotel San Nicola was really good find. Historic hotel with awesome rooms. Lot of space in regular twin room. Good international breakfast and wifi connection. Town it self is nice and friendly, a bit crowdy at night but around hotel is everything nice and quiet. Suggesting also the restaurant on the side of the hotel. If moving by car the finding of hotel can be tricky, but there can be found good help from reception to park your car or find a good place for it. Really good service in any point if the staying."

"Better than a hotel. Kind, friendly, helpful owners, very attentive to the needs of guests. My wife and I spent two days in Altamura, welcomed by Angelo and Anna like old friends. Large, comfortable, brand new rooms equipped with every comfort, in short, nothing was missing compared to a good hotel. Rich breakfast, sweet and savory, all made by the owner on the spot. In short, "Stupor Mundi" could not have been called anything else. Highly recommended without hesitation."
