Diana Palace Hotel Zakynthos
"The food provided by the hotel even surpassed that of the local restaurants"
Hotel Palmyra
"Many of the advertising photos show the hotel before the refurb. It’s now a classy joint with a good breakfast which is what many of the old reviews complained about. A hidden gem at the price. Large car park if you have a hire car. Here are the new pool photos. Mike, Scotland."
Windmill Bay Hotel
"We came back from windmill bay today after spending 10 nights. We went for the bed and breakfast option. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly young woman who gave us a glass of champagne. We went to our room and the air conditioning was great, the balcony view was great as you could see the pool and the sea. Going to sleep there is good as the bed is comfy, there is aircon which keeps you cool and there is an electronic blind you can put down to block the sun from the balcony doors. However annoyingly we were still woken up by the sun because it came in through the bathroom window (which has no blinds or curtains) shined through the glass door, onto the huge mirror and reflected onto the bed. My biggest gripe by far was the wasps, I have never seen so many in one place. The first 3 mornings at breakfast I must of seen between 5-15 of them congregated where the fresh fruit and juice was. I hate wasps and it got to the point where I couldn't eat comfortably because they would fly around me and eventually crawl onto my food despite my best efforts to waft them away. This happened every single morning and the breakfast was average so for a few days I actually ended up skipping breakfast despite paying for it because I knew I was just going to be swarming wasps away. I didn't see hardly any in anywhere else in Argassi so the hotel clearly has a wasp problem. Also the spare sun beds to the right of the hotel on the grass were infested with them flying through the grass so we avoided that side. The prices are slightly more expensive than the town, it can be quite difficult to cross the road to get to Argassi as it's on a bend and the paths are narrow. So to summarise, the hotel is nice but has a wasp problem near the food and grass areas so be mindful of this before booking."
Mirabelle Hotel
"Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. My room (for one) is huge!!! Two double beds, a sofa bed, wardrobe, a shower room, a balcony, (tv), air conditioning, and a fully fitted kitchenette - even has a bottle opener. Is very clean, as it’s cleaned every day, clean towels every other day. The breakfast is good. A decent selection of food. Pool area is clean, crystal clear and cool water. Short walk - 3/5 minutes to town where you can find gift shops, café shops, bakeries, bars, restaurants and spa treatments. As well as lots of day tour operators. A narrow beach - it shelves a long way out , making it ideal for families. Also buses to other towns and beaches & the tourist train. Avoid the taxis, very expensive. Local buses are 1.60€, train 7€ return. I would highly recommend this hotel."
Argassi Beach Hotel
"I stayed only for a couple of nights and i have to say that I was nicely surprised. The room was renovated and the view was simply amazing! Breakfast was good enough for me. The only thing this hotel lacks is a parking space. So if you have a car you will have to looking for parking outside otherwise it's nearly perfect!"
Katerina Palace Hotel
"Have stopped in the main hotel and the rooms are lovely, clean and tidy, this time stayed in Studio 2 and our room was disgusting, the bed was broken, the mattress was like a sea saw, no slats at the bottom and the ones at the top were broken, told reception they didn’t seem that bothered even though I informed them that I had spinal surgery a few months before and I have a spinal shunt in my back. They told us they had no other rooms and that maintenance would come and sort it, that night we had to us the sofa cushions to prop up the top end of the bed in order to sleep on it. Next morning had to report the shower not working and asked again about maintenance and they told us it would be done while we were out, got back nothing had been done so asked again and was told “the wood shops were closed” so had another night of no sleep, next day they sorted both out. Our fire alarm in the room would go off randomly and we told a Scottish guy on the desk that night and his attitude was disgusting. Asked for the manager the next morning and was told they didn’t come to the hotel until the next day. We were only there for a week so we ended up leaving it as we just wanted to relax. Pool The sun bed wars were a joke and half the beds were broken, the floor was like an ice rink when wet and the pool became really murky by the afternoon as there is no where to shower your sun lotion off before getting into the pool. The kids pool had an orange/green scum mark around so we didn’t take our grandson in there. The steps down to the bottom pool were filthy and were overgrown with bushes making it hard to use them and they were slippier than the pool area. I never once seen anyone checking the PH levels and at night a man walked round the pool with a white bucket throwing white powder into the water without checking any levels. How TUI can post them as 3 stars is beyond me"
Iniohos Zante Hotel & Suites
"The hotel is located in the outskirts of the beach (small and dirty but well-prepared ) the structure and the rooms are very beautiful . Discrete size phone (for women) in the bathrooms . Parking included in the outskirts of the reception . Double pool with comfortable and level furniture. Not recommended HEADly consume meals inside. We had a all inclusive that we tried to avoid. The luch box ( 1 toast with pig and cheese , a small apple , a whole tomato and a whole peanut , half a litre of water at room temperature ) is unacceptable ."
Ionian Hill Hotel
"Very good, I like it very much. The hotel scenery is very beautiful, especially dining in the restaurant in the morning and evening, it is so beautiful"
Agoulos Beach Hotel
"We spent a week here in august we had a lovely time, this is a family run hotel and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the room was a bit dated but was cleaned every day fresh towels and bed made everyday, the pool gardens were nice and relaxing and the food and service at the pool bar were spot on "
