"Absolutely incredible experience, the staff are lovely, welcoming and helpful. The facilities are second to none and the food is unlike any I have ever tasted, incredibly flavoursome and such a variety! The balance is phenomenal, between views of the killamanjaro, the Forrest, monkeys, tranquility yet homely! The owners are a delight, very wholesome and all round lovely friendly people! Our only disappointment is we didn’t stay longer! Could not recommend enough and will definitely be returning!"

"The hotel environment is very nice, but it's a 50-minute drive from the airport, which is a bit far. The service was excellent; Alex, who cleaned my room, deserves praise. The downside is the poor facilities. Since the tap water isn't safe for brushing teeth or drinking, couldn't they at least provide two bottles of mineral water in the room? The hairdryer was unreliable and terribly broken. There was also no electric kettle. I hope these improvements will be made."

Bear in mind that it’s not the most easily accessible of the lodges, and you’ll need your own 4WD to reach it, or arrange your pick-up with the lodge (easily done as the staff is most flexible and accommodating). This is a part of its unique appeal though, and once you are there, there are plenty of activities to engage in, or simply soak it all in at the terrace of your bungalow. Apart from the fabulous surroundings, the lodge itself is lovely, rooms very comfortable, the food tasty, and the staff amazing - courteous, sympathetic, attentive and charming team that will do their best to make your stay very enjoyable indeed."
