"Just returned from fabulous relaxing week in Sardinia at Hotel Airone . Idyllic location , fabulous hotel food and drinks . Staff were amazing from reception team of Cinzia , Priscilla and Laura - all putting up with our poor levels of Italian .. through to Restaurant team managed by Mikel and Emiliano ( a strong resemblance to Jason Statham ) and last but not least Christina . A real family feel to enjoy and relax amongst the gardens and surrounding area . Keep an eye out too for Nelson Diaz - he drives for the hotel - but has another life as a brilliant singer . NB Check his You Tube . Can’t speak highly enough of hotel , staff and location but can assure you - you won’t be disappointed should you stay here ! Tutto e bellissimo !"

"This place was the the best hotel we’ve stayed in Sardinia. It feels like a resort with a rustic aesthetic. Breakfast was amazing- lots of healthy options with a variety of yoghurt, ham, cheese, pastries, cereals, fruits. Every corner of this estate is very photogenic. There are also some massive boulders behind the houses which allowed us to explore. Highly recommend to spend full 20 hours here to relax, chill, recharge. Hope to come back again in the future!"

"I have been to italy many many times but frankly this is not how a 4* hotel should look like. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, thats why i give 1*. What was not ok: - horrible horrible mosquitoes infestation everywhere - reception area, rooms, dinning room area. There is no escape, I got bitten over 25 times, the whole group was. - room are spacious but very very outdated, it honestly doesn't look like a 4* hotel room. For comparison Double Tree by Hilton is also a 4* hotel. - there was a beach nearby but the hotel didnt have chairs and umbrellas so we had to pay €35 per day to use 2 chairs and 1 umbrella. - The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, there is one small supermarket to buy groceries and nothing else, not even a restaurant. The nearby village is around 1h 15 min walk away and you got to walk on the road. - The breakfast was repetitive - always the same 3 types of salami, 1 cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. - Dinner was always 2 types of pasta, 1 type of fish and 1 type of meat with some veggies. Again most 4 * hotels have buffet type dinner. - There was no lunch, you cant even pay for it because they dont make lunch there. - Wifi only in the common areas and only in the rooms close to the reception. - Pool was always closed between 1 and 3 and on Friday it was always closed for maintenance. Please avoid at all costs, not worth the money and definitely not how a 4* hotel should look like."

"Stayed in the hotel with my partner for 10 days from 3 to 13 September. Welcomed in English by the wonderful quadrilingual (at least) receptionist. Then lift to chiamo tre (third floor)and a wonderful room overlooking the pool. First thing to note: everything works and is well tended in this hotel, and they have things mended quickly. The staff are universally excellent, kind and patient, and the bar staff have a huge variety of drink on offer which they deliver expertly to you, as well as a limited amount of food. Cannigione is a lovely place where they even put up with my poor attempts at Italian. I find it hard not to drift off into hyperbole about this hotel. I just hope to go back there - if I am lucky enough to bother Peakes Travel Elite for another booking!"
