Hotels near Waterfall number One, Aswan

It is relatively remote here, and the sanitary conditions of the village are average. Maybe they will improve in the future. However, when I checked in, the surrounding environment was not satisfactory. There were many mosquitoes. Maybe their rooms will be disinfected before checking in, but When I felt that the scent of the room prepared for me was too strong, I changed it to a room without scent. I found that there were at least dozens of mosquitoes in it. I swatted 20 of them. The mosquito coils brought by the service staff did not work. In short, It would be more convenient if you only have a short stay from the airport. If you come here from the city, it is not a good choice. The staff in the store are warm and friendly. The boss's transportation quotation to the Abu Simbel Temple is consistent with my actual understanding. Some deviations.

Amazing service from the staff. We were welcomed with cold fresh drinks and hot towels walking into the hotel lobby. Bags were taken to the room and we were able to tour the hotel prior to checking in. Once checked in Woel Farook made sure our stay was pleasant. He gave us a great view of the Nile. Also Mahmoud at the pool and bar took care of us every day there. The kids loved him as he entertained the 2 year old and 10 month old. The pool service is excellent. Can’t wait to go back. I definitely recommend staying at Movenpick.

The Hotel just went through a name change back in October 2019 as per management. We stayed in one of the three rooms near the pool area, which made it very convenient to access the terrace, pool, and appreciate the overview of the Nile. The facilities are very nice and well kept. The room was very spacious with a couple of things to be improved, The shower drain required unclogged since it almost over flooded and the AC was inoperative, thankfully temps in March respect at night and it wasn't required, and also noise was a problem at night since people are allowed in the pool area till the late hours. The staff was very hospitable and helped us plan a trip to Luxor with stop in a few temples.

This small hotel is in a small village. I went in February. It was dry and cold. The air conditioner could be cooled. The wind in the door was very strong. The panoramic room had a balcony on one side and it was colder. Sara at the front desk is more professional and can ask her if she needs to ask, but she goes to work at 10 am. The one in charge of the bar was very unreliable. The pot of hot water for us was unwashed. The pot of milk was released. The water soaked was all paste. The food and hygiene were completely untrustworthy. And sold us two bottles of water. We didn't order it, he took it directly to us. So we thought it was breakfast, and finally showed us the price list and asked us for money. I said you didn't tell us, he said you didn't ask. Aswan's first stop impression is therefore very poor!

This hotel is located in downtown Aswan close to everything. We were in one of their suite rooms that had 2 rooms inside with a bathroom with a huge jacuzzi. The staff was friendly. Check in was easy and the breakfast was excellent. We had the amazing view of the nile river and the city. Will surely stay here again when we come to Aswan

Our first impression was great. Beautiful lobby & wonderful staff. We were sent across the driveway to rooms on the Nile. The view was great, but the constant honking of horns due to the road being very close, was not so great. The Wifi worked very well. There was a lot of storage in the room. And room service was excellent & food was delicious. We even got a box lunch for breakfast the next morning & it was stuffed full of good things. The furniture was very old but that is not an issue if all else is well. However, the beds were the hardest I have ever slept on, with high pillows that felt like a full bag of flour. And then there was the dirt. I am not known for my house-keeping skills, but this dropped below my standards. Dirt on the bathroom door made me want to not touch it. The walls had dirt & stains on them. Some things were broken & holes were just left in the walls. The curtains were not clean. I felt dirty every time I touched something. The bedding seemed to be clean, though. Thankfully, we were only there for 1 night, so we let it go, as it was booked for us by tour company. we would not stay there again, despite all of the good things.

Wonderful experience! This place is the best place to stay when you are in Aswan if you like peace and quite and beautiful views. The location is magical right in front of Philae temple, You reach the hotel by taxi boat (check in and check out are free drive) You are far from the city center please keep this in mind! But for us this was perfect. we wanted a place to relax in a nice quiet environment to end our holiday in busy Egypt. THE STAFF All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was great! The welcome hibiscus drink was a nice extra touch! THE HOTEL GROUNDS The hotel is situated on a private island in front of Philae temple. The buildings are build in a traditional way with respect for nature. We really loved the use of natural materials it gives an extra connection with the environment. The Vegetable garden is a beautoful oasis. they grow their own food to use in the restaurant. We also loved the cats and dogs (Rita and Anton) They have a private beach with river access and also kayaks. THE RESTAURANT The restaurant location is breathtaking, right in front of Philae temple. Its not only a beautiful place, the food is amazing to! And you can tell because of the large groups who visit the restaurant for lunch when they end their visit in the temple. We had lunch and diner in the restaurant and it was perfect! Very fresh and delicious and a lot of choice on the menu. Breakfast is also very good. At night you can watch the lightshow on the temple. THE ROOM The room is very basic but good. It is small but for us perfect. The bed is comfortable and the balcony beautiful with nile views and even the temple complex! The bathroom was very basic, the room floated while showering. There is no wifi in the room but that is absolute not a problem for us. TRANSFERS The taxi boat transfers were very good. we had no problems with our transportation to the city and the airport. They even arranged a boat for us at 3u30 in the morning because we had an early flight to Cairo. They also made us a breakfast box to take on the plane! It is necessary to book Ben Ben's boat 30 minutes in advance to arrive at the hotel! Pay special attention! The whole service is very good. There is a welcome drink and they will help you carry your luggage in the room. The overall service is perfect. It's just that if you want to call and ask for something, you have to wait for a while! Their dinner meals are delicious! Very relaxing and highly recommended!
