B&B Vecchia Darsena
"This was one of the most disappointing and concerning stays we have experienced. Upon arrival, there was a strong smell of gas in the kitchen, which immediately raised safety concerns and required us to ventilate the space. Later that evening (around 18:00), on Labour Day when all restaurants and delivery services were closed, we attempted to prepare food. The gas worked for approximately two minutes and then stopped completely. We contacted the owner multiple times by phone that evening. During the initial call, he assured us he would come within 30 minutes to resolve the issue. We trusted this and waited, but he never arrived. Despite repeated attempts to reach him, no assistance was provided. As a result, we were left without any way to prepare food, and since it was a public holiday, we had no alternatives. We went to bed without eating. The following day, the original gas cylinder (a larger orange one) was replaced with a significantly smaller blue cylinder. After this replacement, everything worked normally. This directly contradicts the claim that the original cylinder was full and functioning. It is particularly concerning that the situation was later described as “guest misuse.” This does not reflect reality. We use gas systems regularly and had no difficulty operating the replacement cylinder once it was installed. Additionally, the “breakfast included” consisted of one croissant, a few biscuits, small juice packs, and bottled water — which does not meet reasonable expectations for a paid breakfast. It is also worth noting that the property is presented as a hotel/B&B, while in our experience it appeared to be a converted commercial space adapted for accommodation, which does not align with typical expectations for this type of listing. Overall, this experience involved a potential gas safety issue, repeated unanswered requests for assistance, being left without food on a national holiday, and a version of events that does not match what actually occurred. We hope the property takes this feedback seriously and improves both safety standards and communication with future guests."
Casepicarmo Guest House
"The rooms are clean and with few fabrics, excellent for those like me who have allergy problems, cleaning is daily but not on Sundays the change of linen even if I expected it is not daily but weekly in case of an extra change you would have to pay but the host when we asked for a change of shower towels after 3 days did not ask us anything he was very kind important thing if you open the window the air conditioning turns off and if you do not close it it does not start again."
Guest House Golfo Xifonio
"I am not used to put the reviews, travel often for pleasure and work, and I don't feel a hard person to satisfy. I admit I have wrong in counting the days of stay. In the morning I had to leave the building, I was called with a strong tone because my baggage was still in the room, and he made me feel like a thief. Only when I also raised the tones of my voice and explained the unintended fact by explaining that I would have stayed (naturally) one day more the holder became kind, soft as a dog."
