The Benchmark Inn

"The property is lovely and Augusta is a quaint, quiet town, on the Ohio River. We wanted a weekend getaway. Augusta Guest House’s website says it has contactless entry. I had trouble understanding that the door code and the room code were the same code. I also did not understand that Parkview Room 1 was on the second level. This created some confusion for us. No staff were present. The Parkview Room is tiny. The toilet is in a closet space and the shower is in an elongated closet space. This will be problematic for older people or anyone with mobility issues. Soap is provided but not shampoo. The room itself is clean and well decorated. The website advertises a continental breakfast. Yikes! There is a Keurig machine that is attached to a drip coffee maker that literally has hard dried mold in the coffee basket. The breakfast consisted of Nature Valley Oatmeal Bars in a basket. Again, no staff were present. This property has so much potential that did not seem realized during our visit."

"It was a great experience! I was able to book last minute due to an emergency and there was no hassle at all. I wish i could've stayed longer to enjoy the pool, but at least I got to experience the continental breakfast!"
