EeEThe owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home, not just like we were staying at a hotel. He told us to approach him for anything we needed. Before check-in, he prepared a pot of traditional Moroccan mint tea for us to enjoy before heading to our room. After a three-day journey, we were exhausted, so we asked him to recommend a nearby spa and massage. We tried the Moroccan scrub and it was incredibly relaxing! He also helped us arrange a taxi to the airport for the next day. The breakfast was delicious 😋, and the homemade yogurt at the riad was exceptionally good 👍. The room was spacious and the bed super comfortable. But the absolute highlight is the stunning rooftop terrace with a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of Fes. The cats nearby are also adorable and love to be petted! If you're coming to Fes, you absolutely must check out this riad. It offers fantastic value for money!

The stairwell is relatively narrow, and the waiter will help carry the luggage upstairs. The room hygiene, especially the bathroom, is more general and the stains are obvious. The mattress and quilt are very comfortable and sleep well. The breakfast looks very rich, you know, it is actually bread, jam, juice mint tea. The owner and staff love to interact.

Tucked away in the labyrinth alleys of the Medina, Riad Algila transports one into a world of tranquility & elegance. The riad's meticulously adorned courtyard with gentle tricking of water from the fountain, swaying green trees and intricate tile work serves as a peaceful sanctuary from the bustling city outside.
Our 2 day stay was nothing short of enchanting. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, adorned with traditional Moroccan decor with modern amenities, provided a luxurious retreat after a day of exploration. The staff always attentive with insightful recommendations, made all the difference to our stay.
Riad Algila truly embodies the essence of Moroccan hospitality offering a respite of calm and beauty amidst the vibrant tapestry of Fes.

Facilities: The rooms are quite large for a riad, living up to their suite designation. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are bright. The common areas are truly stunning in Fès, worth a visit and photo opportunity, considering this 700-year-old building is truly breathtaking. However, since it's recently renovated, there's no need to worry about aging. The furniture and other amenities are made of exquisite materials, even featuring mother-of-pearl inlay. I stayed on a hot day, and the air conditioning in my deluxe room wasn't working properly, so I was upgraded to a family suite (all other room types were fully booked, demonstrating its popularity).
Cleanliness: Clean and tidy, meeting five-star standards in the rooms, common areas, and restaurant.
Ambience: The pictures show how beautiful the common areas are, with the mosaic walls, courtyard, greenery, and chairs all showcasing their craftsmanship. The hotel is located in the heart of the old city, about a 15-minute walk from the parking lot. The hotel is also easy to find, as it's surrounded by alleyways. Remember to look for the hotel sign on the walls.
Service: Overall, the service was excellent. The hotel staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was plentiful, and dining on the terrace offered unique views of the old city. However, the luggage transfer staff were not hotel employees, so you had to pay a separate fee (they worked hard to earn their fees, so paying them was fine; just contact the hotel in advance).
Overall, highly recommended!

A private and beautiful hotel outside the Medina, Hotel Sahrai is a good choice for travellers looking to reside outside the hustle and bustle of the old city. The amenities provided were top class though the breakfast selection and dinner quality could be improved upon. The hotel sits on top of a hill and the rooftop provides a beautiful view of the old medina and Jewish quarters. This is a good choice if you have a lot of luggage as cars are not allowed to drop you in Riads inside the Medina.

Great stay overall. The location is perfect, right inside the medina. The room was very clean and the air conditioning worked very well. Breakfast was rich and very tasty.
The only small issue was that the hot water was a bit limited, so showers need to be quick, but the water temperature was good.
What really impressed us was how kind the host was. We had to leave early on our second day and could not stay for breakfast, so he prepared a takeaway breakfast for us. It was packed very carefully and was perfect for the road. We were very touched by this kindness.
Highly recommended!

This Marriott is really old. The facilities are very dated, and the heating system for the air conditioning is poor. The room has that smell of old things. The bedding is decent, and the cleanliness is okay. However, paying 1700 [currency] for the oldest Marriott is really not worth it; you'd be better off staying at some newly renovated budget hotels.
The staff are all very enthusiastic, but they don't offer assistance with booking taxis within the hotel. You have to walk out of the entire complex yourself, which is very inconvenient. The bar at night is good, and the drinks are well-made. Breakfast has enough variety; I guess it's considered top-tier for Morocco. I can't give it a high rating, but it's better than staying in a guesthouse.
The pool looks genuinely luxurious and is very photogenic. It would probably be very comfortable for swimming in the summer.

The contact person is so nice that helped us arrange city tour and transport to another city. Even though we had to leave at 8, which was not the breakfast timeslot, the house keeper prepared food for us to take away. We had so much fun here.
