Amazing stay, the room with private pool was lovely. The interiors and design of the room was really nice. The Japanese breakfast options were unique and the food was well made. Complimentary shuttle service was very helpful and well thought out.
Adding fitness centre and the restaurant to be open at least till 11 30 pm would be great additions.
We had a great time.

In one sentence: It is suitable for early check-in and early check-out to take the boat. The front desk can check in 24 hours. The environment is average. The towels and quilts are of poor quality and a bit dirty. The breakfast is expensive and pitfalls. There is a 24-hour convenience store with rich varieties opposite the hotel gate. It is 300 meters and 10 minutes away from Sanur Pier.
Detailed introduction: I went to Penida Island and Lombok during the National Day holiday. Because it was late at night, that is, I arrived in Bali at midnight, and the boat ticket to Penida the next morning was 7:30, so I wanted to find a transition hotel to rest temporarily and change all the equipment for the next day. I compared several hotels near the pier, and this one looked good in terms of ratings and environment.
The hotel is about 300 meters away from the pier. Go out and turn left, walk along the road towards the beach, turn left at the main intersection and go straight to reach Sanur Pier.
The public environment of the hotel is good, but the sound insulation is very poor, and the sound of unlocking in other rooms can also be heard. The room was quite good, but the bedsheets and towels looked of poor quality, not very clean and a bit gray. I used my own towel to take a shower, and there were marks of wet footprints on the floor after they dried, so I guess I hadn't mopped the floor properly.
As for food, since we had to arrive at the pier half an hour in advance, we ordered breakfast from the front desk. It cost 100k Indonesian rupiah per serving, which was 200k for two people, almost 100rmb, which felt very rip-off. It was just a small lunch box with 2 breads and 2 eggs. After ordering, I went out for a walk and found that there was a pretty good convenience store across the street from the hotel gate. There were people there when we went there in the early morning. It looked like a 24-hour convenience store (refer to FamilyMart in China). There were bread, skewers and so on in it. If you need to prepare breakfast, you can go there to buy them.

It’s the best peaceful place for couples and newly married ones. It’s so clean so awesome breakfast and even even person there is very very helpful. Rooms are kept clean daily always when we return back the rooms are like all new even after all the mess we did at nights heheh.. only issue is that many tour packages do not offer this hotel as a pick up point and you need to walk 2kms ahead to a hotel called plaza something.. that’s the only issue..

Great Location and Atmosphere, but Needs Improvement
I recently stayed at Prime plaza hotel, and while the location and overall vibe were great, there were some areas that fell short of expectations.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful spot, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. It’s the perfect place to unwind if you’re looking for peace and quiet. However, the food was disappointing—lacking flavor and variety, which was a letdown during the stay.
The swimming pool is quite small, and there aren’t many facilities or activities available, which might make it less appealing for those looking for more entertainment options.
If you’re just after a nice location to relax, this hotel might work, but it could definitely improve in terms of food quality and amenities.

great stay, delicious breakfast, helpful staff.
one little thing about breakfast. as it has different varieties of food, people take a lof of food and don’t eat it at all. I was very sorry to see how a huge amount of food was just thrown away.
so maybe hotel needs put everywhere cards with reminder “take as much as you can eat»

The hotel exceeded all our expectations!
We spent our honeymoon in Bali and stayed in 5 hotels, I can confidently say that Meru was the most stylish of them!
I was very pleased that the hotel staff prepared so much for our arrival and tried so hard to congratulate us on our honeymoon: they painted congratulations on the mirror, folded a cute figure from towels, filled the bath with petals and prepared delicious chocolates for us. We felt the maximum level of care.
The hotel is completely new, it opened only this year. Some of the reviews that we read before booking were negative because of this, but we did not encounter anything that could spoil our stay: the rooms are huge and stylishly decorated, the pool is large and perfectly clean, there were plenty of free sun loungers, the breakfast was very tasty)
We even regretted that we booked so few days in this hotel and wanted to reschedule the next one, but unfortunately, cancellation was no longer available.
We will definitely come back next time and stay longer!

Rooms were basic and needed basic maintenance. We specifically booked a 4th floor room and were put on the 2nd floor overlooking back street and overgrown unused area of hotel so be aware of asking for what you booked when you check in.
Pool is great and nice cool water. Plenty of deck chairs.
Buffet breakfast was good and lots of variety.
The staff were 50/50 friendly or not.
My tip is don’t lose your room key. They charge you $5AU replacement cost. They were not flexible at all.
And considering we had a few inconveniences such as wrong room allocation, delayed check in plus we had to call for room maintenance for leaking water and have aircon repairs whilst we were in our room……. We thought flexibility was due.
Much better and more accomodating places to stay in my view.
Being fight crew we stay in hotels a lot and don’t offer negative feedback unless it’s due.

TTodaStay for 3 nights here - Its a huge resort, in front of Jimbaran beach; it location is good too, close to shops and good eating places - however, bit disappointed with their services; check in, waiting for approx 20 mins and no one direct us nor help, for this calibre of resort, we expected more, for sure. Moreover, the reservation lady told us that she will “help” us with the membership but till our checkout time, no one follow it up with us🤔; breakfast was good, many foods options; their servers are friendly but their foods stations staff were not - no smile, no “how are you” nor any basic greetings, definitely need to be improved.
GGuest UserI have a lot to say. On the surface, Maya Sanur is really beautiful and appears to be in a good location, staff are attentive and kind - as long as nothing goes wrong you're fine. After staying a few days we inevitably ran into a few issues. This certainly has nothing to do with the hotel but it's important to consider. Sanur is in a part of Bali that is less touristy albeit still touristy and draws enough crowds that you'd think the beach was really inviting when in fact it isn't. Sanur beach is gravely and pretty unswimmable, lots of algae and low tides make it almost impossible to enjoy unless you wake up super early or swim later in the evening. The crowd that Maya Sanur attracts are mostly older, white foreigners and not the friendly ones. I'm white but even I was like, ”What am I doing here?” If you like being around unfriendly, snooty folks, this is your spot. The staff were mostly accommodating and incredibly kind until one morning I requested an umbrella be opened on the beach for sitting in the sun. I was told, and I kid you not, ”NO, we don't put those up.” I asked why they were on the beach if people don't use them. I was answered with, ”There is a breeze so we don't open them.” I then asked, ”When do you use them?” to which the staff member replied, ”In the morning.” This whole conversation was nothing short of ridiculous, given the price you pay to stay here and the fact that every other resort on the beach has their umbrellas open is absolutely laughable that this man gave me such a dumb answer. I decided once we were back in the room that I should share this concern with the front desk. They apologized profusely and when I was on the beach later that evening, an umbrella was up. So silly. Another sort of annoying issue, I booked an extra night, I asked the front desk first and they gave me an inflated rate, they encouraged me to let them know if I booked a room online, which I did, on their site for cheaper. I let the front desk know and they said ok. Sadly, my flight couldn't be altered and we never ended up staying but when I called to let the front desk know our plans fell through, they offered me zero refund and said, maybe you can come back in 6 months to stay with us again. I felt a bit disappointed in this given that I wanted to book directly with the front desk, maybe even getting a better rate, considering I'd already spent a ton of money with them the first 4 days we stayed. When plans fell through, I notified the hotel immediately, less than 24 hours after my new booking and they were unwilling to offer a refund for a room I would never even stay in. I guess what I learned is, Maya Sanur is pretty but business and money far outweigh service and true hospitality. With so many other resorts to choose from, I wouldn't come back based on these interactions. This is not a low budget hotel so you expect a certain type of customer service. It is clear that Maya Sanur wants to keep attracting the crowd they have so I will look elsewhere next time. It's just sad that small gestures could have gone a long way to leave a better impression and a more satisfying stay.
GGuest UserThis was one of the best places we stayed at in Bali.
It is well structured, designed and maintained. The food was good with many options. The location is perfect with very nice pools and pool slide. They also have Camels and can provide you with a riding experience on the beach.
GGuest UserA very disappointing stay at this hotel. Issues started at check in and continued throughout our stay . Our family booked 5 rooms at the Alam KUL KUL and we all had issues with facilities and getting any action taken to address them . To start we visited the hotel in mid November 2023 to enquire about late checkout when we stayed in February 2024. The hotel reception were very pleasant in November and guaranteed that late checkout was easy and it was a great rate of 550.000 . The reception staff said that they had added the late checkout to our booking. When we arrived in February everything was different. First the reception staff questioned that we had visited in November and that we did not have late checkout added to our booking. They insisted that we name the hotel staff who we had spoken with in November. After much discussion we had the late checkout added but staff were less than friendly. Then they insisted we pay the extra money straight away. We said no problem but then my wife’s wise card wouldn’t work in their payment machine and staff kept insisting that the wrong pin was being entered. My wife had been using the card for the last 7 days in Bali with no issues. So I then gave them my wise card and was surprised when it wouldn’t work in their machine either. I also had been using my card daily in Bali with no issues. After much further discussion with hotel reception they said that we could pay at check out. We had already pre paid for all 5 rooms prior to this. On the day of checkout I received a request to contact reception as they had no records of us asking for late checkout. During several WhatsApp messages from reception they said that we had refused to pay for the late checkout and that we had stated that we would get it free. I was absolutely disappointed to receive these messages and we had never stated anything about free late checkout. The reception staff continued sending messages that were completely false statements. In reflection I think that the staff were trying to cover up the poor service lack of professionalism that they lacked. This were only a few of the small issues that arose during our stay . Our daughter and family had a mouse running around their room and it took staff 3 days to come and look at the room. There was never any offer to change rooms. Another family group had their air conditioning not working and it took 3 days for the hotel to address that issue . My wife ordered drinks during happy hour at the garden pool and when the bill came they wanted to charge full price and their staff stated that my wife had ordered room service! She was locked out of our room at the time because the electronic key kept failing.
On 3 separate occasions I asked to speak with the hotel manager to see if we could get better communication and service. Unfortunately the manager was always unavailable, so can only assume that is where the problem starts . Too important or don’t care about hotel guests.
Most of the hotels staff were extremely friendly and welcoming especially the restaurant staff.
The Alam is a very old property in a very good location. The rooms have been renovated and beds are comfortable. After visiting Bali about 16 times and staying in many different hotels and villas this was our most disappointing stay in Bali. It’s a shame that the small issues kept coming and that the hotel were either trying to cover up or complacent about.
NNrynI recently stayed at the Ramayana Hotel with a friend, and we had a fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the friendly and trustworthy staff who made us feel welcome.
Our room was clean and well-maintained, featuring a comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. One small detail that stood out was the delightful scent of the soap provided—such a nice touch!
The amenities were excellent, and we really enjoyed making use of them during our stay. Overall, we had a lot of fun and felt right at home. I highly recommend Ramayana Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
GGuest UserExcellent room. Really big with nice sitting area, balcony, good working desk. Also loved the bathroom.
Had some problems getting the safe to work but eventually were fixed.
There is not much micro economy outside and just one restaurant. I did manage to get Grab from the hotel.
The hotel runs a great shuttle to Semarapura and Goa Lawah, it's free but you tip the driver and guide and pay for entry to the various sites.
The spa area is nice but the treatment I had was not very good.
MMTS MayNice n budget hotel
Plenty of buffet breakfast
A bit far from Seminyak beach n laundry shops
Although the hotel has services for laundry services, it charges by item.
It is located at the very busy road.
Overall we love it.
Only the toilet drain smell got in the swimming pool area n corridor.
Recommend to stay in the facing rice fields
AAnonymous UserStaying here was a real retreat. The room which has pool access we booked was clean, spacious, intimate bcs there only a few room. Our room was very close to the dining gazebo where there were some plugs so we could working with our laptop with a sight of ricefields. the bathroom has a good warm water shower. I love when the morning sun can penetrate to the room. Nasi goreng and Mie goreng for breakfast are quite tasty. - But sometimes you can hear a gecko at night and unfortunately during our 2n3d stay, there were no one clean and make up our room. Also tissue and water didn't get refilled.
GGuest UserThanks a lot for the service. The boss is really nice and helped us voluntarily in many ways. This is a homestay not a hotel actually, but the safety and convenience is out of expectations. Besides, you couldn't find a hotel in the center of ubud. So considering this price, I would say thank God we are here.
